Additionally those top of the page screenshots are awesome Akari!:happy:
Thanks. I spent ages firing Liara's singularitiy at Silmeria's feet, trying to get a shot with incinerate being cast, but the timing was a pain. Spamming shield drain in to a near by wall proved much easier and looked better.
Infact I liked that shot so much I turned it in to a wallpaper.

I love when Shepard ninja-kicks the Varren in the face after saving that quarian. It's full of so much awesome.
@Skald
Love your blog. Commented on it, as well. =-)
@ELE
That picture of Caroline in the Umbra Visor made me chuckle.

... oh wait... so is femShep's. I guess LadyHawke does belong after all.
Sorry. Not feeling good, in a snarky mood. But I don't take it back.
Have a Jessica to compensate.

Just a quick note. femShep's cousin, LadyHawke, MIGHT be in the DA2 demo this friday.
Good news, but Laidlaw comes across as pretty condescending, IMHO.
Just sayin'...

To each their own. If you enjoy it, and I hope you do, that'll be awesome. In a spiteful fashion, however, I hope it tanks completely, sending BioWare a clear message that they ought to hew close to their RPG roots, with their signature fantasy IP (it's already too late for Mass Effect, at least as long as CHUD and MacWalters run the show).
Given the proclivities of the average modern gamer and their hypertrophied thumbs, I realize that's probably too much to hope for. Doubtless Dragon Age 2 will get all sorts of glowing reviews and accolades, while those of us who prefer real RPGs sadly fade into the dustbin of history.
(please realize none of this is directed at you personally, sage)
And with that I will cease being off-topic. The one good thing I do like about Dragon Age 2 is that they are at least acknowledging the existence of a female version of the protagonist. Skald's excellent blog entry details exactly why they should be spending commensurate effort on femShep, if not making her their primary (their supposed stats -- in reality, just a belief of the marketing division -- about male protagonists outselling female are wrong, just ask Eidos and Crystal Dynamics about a little franchise that starts with Tomb and ends with Raider).

Got to thinking about FemShep in the tradition of female protagonists in science fiction, did some quick "To the Cloud!" research, and threw together a blog post about it:

God that is a great smile you captured there. The animations so often look creepy or just off somehow. She really looks gleefully in her element there: armed to the teeth and under heavy fire. What more could a girl want
edit - oh, if it's a 'shop it looks really natural. dirty photoshop trickery (not that I do that myself or anything

Nah no photoshop magic on my end just a crop of a screenshot, I wish I could manipulate photos that seamlessly.

Great example of an emotive FemShep!
Saw some others, too, earlier today in the thread. We should create a "FemShep Emotes" gallery somewhere!
For me, smiles seem to go south in my custom FemShep faces. When Rhea smiles at Garrus' joking about his scars, she looks like a collagen implant disaster. I'm sure it's just the lighting...
