Started a new playthrough last night after caving and buying both Appearance Packs and the Aegis Pack!

I wasn't sure about the Kestrel Armour to start with, but having used the leg and arm pieces for a couple of hours, they look quite good on Hrist. The shoulder and torso pieces look a little bulky though so it looks like they're destined to remain unused.

I know, it's so exciting!  Here's hoping that Lady Hawke will be as awesome as her Space Marine cousin we all love.  

I do wish the ME team was as interactive with fans as the Dragon Age team is.  Maybe when ME3 info starts coming out they'll start lurking around more?

and YES - you're so right about liara/femshep's convos in lotsb. it is SO very real. there are moments of wtf? with the dialog, but sometimes the ME world just gets it SPOT ON. this is part of why i truly came to love horizon+following email, painful as it is. kaidan/ash won't SAY "ouch, i was hurting so bad." they just get angry. such a human reaction. or garrus' entire reaction to romance w/ femshep - just hilariously accurate to my mind. yep. sometimes the subtley and nuance of adults figuring out their place in the universe creeps into that game - in spite of marketing ploys aimed at an audience unlikely to appreciate them.

@ Ophelia Rivets: wow! i totally forgot about that prothean orb. omg, how silly of me. so i guess they're some sort of memory-recall thingys. hmmm... was wondering if they might play a role in ME3 - now i'm thinking they really may since they were there from the start.

I loved the dialogue in LotSB, especially the cabin chat with Liara.  It felt very natural with all of my Sheps.  With Holly it felt like she was confiding in a good friend.  It made me sad to hear her talking about Thane, but I liked what Liara had to say in regards to him:

Liara:  "What are you fighting for?  A few stolen months with Thane, before the inevitable?"
Shep:  "The Kepral's Syndrome isn't bad yet, but I don't know how much time we have."
Liara:  "You're experiencing what an asari does with a shorter-lived partner.  It doesn't matter how much time you have, but what you do with it.  I hope you find some happiness."

And of course, I loved seeing Liara and Constance get back together.  It may sound silly, but I feel like they belong with each other.

"Marriage, old age and a lot of little blue children."
