Finally completed Erica's full playthrough and she is now my canon Renegade femShep. I had done another Erica before, but lost her ME2 save file along w/ UJ's ME2 save. Now playing UJ over again in ME2. So this replaces my first

Psychological/Emotional Profile : Erica Shepard was orphaned at a young age and was given to foster parents at the age of three. Her foster parents were abusive and neglectful. They took in children only for the extra money they would receive through government programs. After witnessing what happened to some of the older girls within the foster home, she ran away at the age of eight. After a couple of months on the street, trying not to get killed, sold into slavery or worse, she fell in with the Tenth Street Reds. The Reds took her in, fed her and made her one of their own. At the age of ten she was given the duties of a courier. In that job she learned to be fast and resourceful. At the age of 13 she was captured by a rival Turian gang member. Erica killed him. Within the gang, Erica found a love for the excitement of the fight, an almost narcotic dependency on her own adrenaline rush. By the age of 16 she was one of the Tenth Street Reds top soldiers doing whatever it took to survive and she had her sights on a top lieutenant in the gang. Over the course of a year, she grew closer to him and finally expressed her feelings. He used her and eventually raped her and then cast her aside. The Reds would never believe what the man had done. She wanted to kill him, but that would only get her killed too, so she ran. She eventually ended up in the Alliance and never looked back.
The slums of Earth taught Shepard how to endure. The gangs taught her how to survive. The Alliance Marines taught her discipline. With those attributes and her own love of battle, she quickly became a fearsome warrior, always first to charge, always getting the job done. Torfan was no exception. At the cost of many lives, Shepard eradicated the Batarians from the small moon. She had no regrets.
Personality: Erica could be described as “Ashely lite.” In the Reds she was taught a “Human first” agenda and that sentiment was cemented during her time in the Alliance. However, during the course of ME1 Erica developed a respect for her alien allies. By the end of ME2 she was contemplating a romantic involvement with a Turian. Erica has been described as ruthless and for good reason. She gives as good as she gets and no matter what, she will never be a victim again. She’ll do whatever it takes to survive. She will make the hard choices to complete a mission for the greater good. She’ll take the heat and the hate from others and live with it. She’ll live with what she has done and make no apologies and she will not die in bed.
Romance: Erica romanced Kaiden in ME1, but after Horizon she just felt numb. She wasn’t angry or heartbroken. She didn’t feel anything. Soon, she connected with Garrus and the two made “plans.” However, Erica realized that Garrus was just a rebound and it wasn’t fair to either of them to peruse the relationship, so she broke it off. She "essentially" remained loyal to Kaidan.
Why Shepard and her LI are such a great match: Most guys Erica met wanted only one thing. They wanted to use her. There were some nice guys in the Alliance, but growing up on the streets made her wary. Torfan made her feared. Kaidan Alenko saw the woman underneath the soldier. He touched that soft part of her that had been isolated and unwanted for so long. Erica was always game for a shag on her terms, but Kaidan wasn’t interested in just her body. He wanted her, just to be with her. Erica fell for him hard and ultimately they complimented each other. She loosened him up a bit and he became her moral compass. Even though the events of Horizon hurt, she continued to respect Kaidan and still used his morality as a bench mark for times she was stumped. While it is doubtful Kaidan would agree w/ everything she did during the events of ME2, she still feels he would be proud of her. When she blew up the base and got everyone out alive, she immediately went to her cabin, picked up Kaidan’s photo and said, “We did it.”
Best Friends: Whether it was the Arasri’s mindrape to interpret the vision, her constant prattling on issues that served little or no purpose, Erica, in the beginning, despised Liara T’Soni. She respected Liara’s biotic powers and that she could at least defend herself, but that was about it. However, after Liara’s mother died Erica went to the Asari. By then, Kaiden had kind of softened her up a bit and Erica was getting a better feel for her alien friends. What she found was that Erica was scared of Liara’s openness, her ability express her feelings openly, almost matter of factly. Finally, Erica opened up too and saw for the first time that she and Liara were not that different in some respects. Better yet, Liara shared Kaiden’s moral compass while mirroring Erica’s own determination. From then on the two grew closer and ultimately became best friends. Ashley was an immdeiate close friend and leaving her to die on Virmire was a painful choice. In ME2, Both Garrus and Samara became close friends, unfortunately, Samara’s code makes a lasting friendship impossible.
Three fun facts:
1. Erica is catholic.
2. She has a pet name for her black and red Kestrel armor - "black widow"
3. Erica has no vices, save one. Teasing Kaidan. (unfortunately this was lacking in ME2)
