Kaidan's awesome. I never talk about him much since Liara is who Jessica ended up with but I really like his quiet maturity and levelheadedness. I wish he had more femSheps actually, I think he gets unfairly panned by a lot of people for various stupid and invalid reasons.

I'll try to keep this on topic, but I really enjoyed the play between a ruthless femShep and Kaidan. Kaidan has a strong moral cumpass and better yet he is not afraid to speak his mind, though he can be frustrating at times getting to the point.  So, Erica repsected him as a solider and eventually loved him as a lover.  In a real sense, Erica grew much more as a character because of Kaidan.  She's still very renegade, but a few times, I RP her thinking, "What would Kaidan do?"  I really liked the mix and can't wait to get them back together.

i, too, prefer ash's hair on noah. since ash is gone in my ME universe (cry!) i like to think that noah is carrying on with...her...hair...

that sounds wrong. never mind then. *whistles innocently*

@ sable, jamie: yeah, kaidan's a pretty awesome character. it just kills me how much hate/ignoring the human squaddies get in general. it's like only shepard is allowed to be cool or something. and on the flip side, all the liara love i see here has made me really appreciate her. she's a lovely character - so much more than the "blue babe" i thought she was when i first played me1.

Two of my FemSheps are head-over-heels for Kaidan, so he gets plenty of love. =-) They also have different personalities, so it also makes for unique experiences. Same with Garrus. Aislinn is a Paragon and is always trying to steer him along the right path, while Moira's Renegade nature compliments his personality nicely.

Funny, but I just can't see making any other Sheps that end up with Liara or Thane. Maybe I'm more selfish with them, I dunno. XD

Don't worry, Sable.  Kaidan has plenty of FemSheps from me.  They ALL romanced him in ME1, and... let's see... he has 5 that are staying loyal to him.

Liz loves Kaidan!

I do really like Kaidan acting as a "moral compass" for FemShep (renegade or otherwise), a stable rock that a whirlwind force of nature FemShep can anchor to.

With all you guys saying stuff about Kaidan, I think I may just make a FemShep for him. Hm..

On a side note, I threw this together and posted it in another thread but, you guys might like it a bit as well, so, I thought of a Halo:Reach/Mass Efect/KotOR crossover...here it is:

*FemShep and FemNoble 6 are at a table chatting*
FemShep: You know, I've noticed that female characters aren't  always shown to the public.
Noble 6: I don't get what your saying.Image IPB
FS: Well, look at us, our male counter parts are shown in trailers and on game cases and all that crap, but we're not.Image IPB
N6: I see now. Hm...Image IPB
FS: And, you know what, we can kick just as much ass. I mean, it's not fair to us or the public, or even our fans.
N6: I couldn't agree more.
*FemRevan shows up and takes a seat*
FemRevan: I agree!
FS: Good, now let's make the places advertise with us kicking ass!Image IPB
N6: Amen!Image IPB
FR: Hear, hear!Image IPB
*They all down some beer*

yay! more noir-femshep.

and hell yeah! i finished the derelict reaper on insanity! i find that to be the hardest part of the game for my cover-loving adept.

i was commenting to my hubby that i really play kyrie like she's a football quarterback (american football, that is). she's the play-maker, and it REALLY is a bad thing when she gets sacked. i try to keep her from getting in melee at all costs. i send the other squaddies out front to run interference for her. hmm... the things i think of during superbowl games, rather than actually watching the game. you can tell what a huge sports fan i am.

anyhow, curious if other people have an analogy to style of play? i see a lot of vanguards who act like bowling balls with the husks being pins.

for infiltrators I usually send squaddies out ahead of my sheps (Grunt, Jacob, Zaeed, or Garrus mainly.)
Adepts, Shep is like a center in hockey, staying in the middle of the acction while her wingers keep everyone where she can see them.
Vanguards surround targets (arc prejector is a must for the charge)
Sentinels, soldiers, and engineers fight on the fly.

Husk bowling is Lili, she loves it. Lia is more of a 'I'll go in first, blow crap up then you fallow'. Titra hangs back in cover with her widow and warp ammo, head shooting anything she can...and she's a very good aim.
But I also have to agree with AD, very true.

@Mr.V
Wonderful job, once again!!Image IPB

Could you do one with Marion Shepard as Hedy Lamarr? Just send me the raw Hedy image of your choosing and I'll get the Marion screenshots. Please? :innocent:

Play styles ... Hmmm.

Erica is a soldier and so she gets pumped on adrenaline and goes flying out in front like a crazy woman. No real sports analogy for her. She just sort of goes postal when there is a room full of Geth, Vorcha or Batarians. I haven't taken her through insanity yet, though.

UJ is a vanguard and has a combination of moves. Sometimes she will go bowling w/ the shockwave and on higher levels shockwave is like throwing a baseball at loaded milk bottles. It does no damage, but it disorients the enemy long enough to take a shot. With pull, UJ can go skeet shooting or do couple's tennis w/ her pull and Miranda's warp. A full level vanguard charge is sort of a combination of drag racing, boxing and shooting. Only the dragster is a freight train going from 0 to 200 mph in .05 seconds.

And charge is therapy for UJ.  That way she can be a colonist/sole survivor/vanguard and still be a paragon.  :P

Adepts with Shockwave bowl for Husks.

Interestingly enough, I found the Husk Rush on the Collector Ship to be among the more difficult for my Infiltrators.

Like Jamie I just started a playthrough to romance Kaidan, solely because of people like Sage and Chignon.  In my several hundred hours of femShep play time I've romanced Liara every time.  He just gets so much love here, I have to see what the fuss is about!

@ Jamie - Okay, there are are many badass/frightening Shepards on this thread, but Erica is right up there at the top of the list already.  She just looks so "don't f%#k with me and you MAY live".  So serious.  Does the game skip all those Shepard smiles for her and just move on to more badassery?

@ jlb - I have to respectfully disagree.  Liara is jelly, delicious grape jelly....:innocent:

re: Playstyles...

It's all about personality for me.  Jessica's very much a tactician, but she's also very much a loner.  She's not a leader on the battlefield... her leadership comes from the personal relations during the downtimes.  On the battlefield she does her own thing and trusts that her teammates will do theirs (as far as metagaming goes, that means I rarely order squaddies to do anything, I'm way too concerned about managing my own powers and my own tactical cloak if it's ME2 to bother with that).  As for her own thing, that's a highly aggressive, headshot-oriented, stealth-movement assassin role, taking out the highest threat targets from the most advantageous position as quickly as possible.  Cloak, headshot, move, cloak, headshot, with supporting fire from her squaddies who are always behind her.  The only time I extensively use squaddie orders is on Horizon at the final open square around the gun control panel, because cover there sucks and enemies come from EVERYWHERE.

They better release new DLC soon with Kaidan and/or Ashley in it. Their reactions towards Shep were rather lame.

Erica can smile. Her smile says, "I like you," but her eyes say, "I'm going to kill you in your sleep."

Also, never cared for the renegade scars, so she got rid of them. This is as far as she got before I switched them off.
