Speaking of FemShep, I find myself growing envious of LadyHawke fans. I get the impression that we can only dream of FemShep enjoying the same amount of attention lavished upon her as that of LadyHawke.
I remain hopeful that FemShep will receive the recognition that she deserves for ME3, but looking at DA2 makes me realise what could have been.

The most common complaint I hear is that Hale is too emotive for a female soldier. Honestly, I've never even cared to evaluate this. Even if she is, it makes the game a whole lot more enjoyable.
Really? In ME1 I felt she spoke with a tone of professionalism. In ME2 it sounded like she added a bit more melodrama to the lines, but so did everyone else. That was just the tone of the game.
I guess b/c technicaly she wasn't part of the Alliance anymore and could 'let her hair down', so to speak.
I like the emotion, to be honest. I don't think soldiers have to be stoic all the damn time, especially when they are spending private time with a loved one off-duty.

Yes. I watched one of the gameplay vids for DA2 yesterday and, though DudeHawke was heavily featured, they did sneak in some LadyHawke action.
I'm still waiting for the world to end...

I like the emotion too, although the difference did strike me when I first started playing. But hey, if you can't vent a little before going on a suicide mission, when can you?

Exactly. Also consider all the crap Shepard has been through since she died and woke up on that Cerberus operating table...I'm not surprised she lost a bit of her stoicness.

Emotion will often enrich a character, and Jennifer Hale's voice acting serves to create a unique and interesting protagonist.

Lady Hawke is exceptionally cute. Those animations, the smile, everything. I'm crossing my fingers for ME3 FemShep. Because if it doesn't turn out the same, I'm gonna have to cut someone.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...

Yes, I never understood the argument that it's an absolute necessity for a soldier to be a stoic, monotone and emotionless robot. Regardless of the fact that those in the military have to erect emotional barriers in order to protect themselves from the horror and trauma they often endure, they're still human beings. The vast majority of soldiers do not become impassive robots who are incapable of emoting or expressing themselves.
Emotion will often enrich a character, and Jennifer Hale's voice acting serves to create a unique and interesting protagonist.
Agreed and well said. There's a reason I have so many playthroughs of ME1 and 2 under my belt. I absolutely adore the character of Commander Shepard. In my opinion, Hale can do Paragon or Renegade so I'm able to fit the voice around my two beloved characters I have created.

You don't mind if I steal some of these shots of Liara, with your Shep in the background, to do a cosplay comparison, do you? Best pose of her I've found without playing through LotSB again.
Here's the 1080p version:

for me though, i felt like me1 had more moments that humanized shep, while me2 did not - until lotsb. i still can't get over how little shepard reflects on her death. okay, some sheps would be like "ooh, i'm alive? alright, where do i point my gun?" but others would not. considering how much crap an akuze survivor would have gone through with cerberus, or the fact that a colonist might be feeling amazing amounts of survivor's guilt (how many bloody times to i have to keep fighting? etc.) it just bugs me that there are so few options to reflect on it.
eh, but most of the shooter crowd would be bored by such introspection, i'm sure. i follow the bioware facebook feed, and when i see things like the comments about felica day in today's post, i am shown what many of the other members of BW fandom are like.

And of course Beautifull Video Ryn
Anyway Ive spent the last couple of hours practicing/playing around with some Amelia editting again. I been wanting change my avatar a little. Mainly because im using the Anno Domini High Definition album cover by Riverside.
However I find the avatar quite distinctive and wanted to do an Amelia twist with it with her on Illium. Make it Mass Effect related. Heres the result so far. However im a bit stuck. Theres either something missing or there is something not quite right with Amelia. I been looking at the pic for too long and cant quite fathom it.
Probably just need a break for a while and it will come to me

Thank you, Crashie!
Hmm...I'm no PhotoShop expert but maybe Amelia needs to be brighter so she stands out more??

Yeah, this bugged me to no end, as well. Shep gets resurrected (and the last person to pull that off is kind of a big deal), maybe blinks at it a couple of times (although not at the being bought back to life part, just the fact she was gone for two years), possibly ****es at Cerberus in aa ambiguous and inconsequential manner, then saddles up. Never to ponder it again.sagequeen wrote...

To be honest, though, I don't like the first half hour of this game, and I don't like the last half hour either. Everything inbetween? Brilliance.
Sad but true, in my experience. In fact, every IRL friend of mine who games doesn't like Mass Effect. Why? Too much talking.eh, but most of the shooter crowd would be bored by such introspection, i'm sure. i follow the bioware facebook feed, and when i see things like the comments about felica day in today's post, i am shown what many of the other members of BW fandom are like.

Thanks, LET. You guys are making me blush.
@f1r3storm. Nice background. You can never have too much Femshep/Liara.
@Crash. Excellent image. Very nice. I would recommend duplicating various layers and changing the blend mode, then lower the fill%. Try each layer one at a time and see what happens. You can get some really nice effects by just doing something simple like that.
As an example:
That's your image with a duplicate on top and a different blend mode with the fill dropped to 50%. Obviously I only had a flat image to work with, but it shows the effect you can get from a simple addition.

After all, this whole death has been wasted in my eyes. It had so much potential, but oh my, all those shooter guys would run away screaming...
