Comprehensive list of glitches post patch 1.02

This is a summary of the glitches I have encountered while playing as a Sentinel on Hardcore difficulty. I have patch v1.02 installed. There is nothing here that breaks the game (some of them are quite minor) but they are annoying nonetheless, especially the part that involves user controls and getting stuck not being able to move. So here is my list of things that I would be delighted to see getting fixed in the next patch.

UPDATE: I am giving out my system information to make this thread more useful for the developers (from the Mass Effect Configuration Utility):

Quest related glitches:

-In the first mission where you have to escape the Cerberus facility the left shift menu indicates you having 3 weapons (towards the end of the mission). The Predator pistol, the Grenade Launcher and an unselectable
nameless weapon with an icon "icon missing".

-At the end of Mordin's loyalty quest if you choose to stay sometimes you can not end the mission by pressing and holding F button. Moreover a selectable rectangle appears in place of Maelon (it says Maelon). Even if you assign another key to melee attacks, the dialog box still tells you to press F. If you press and hold the new key you assigned you can then end the mission. UPDATE: Something similar happened to me in the mission in which you disable a nuclear warhead. After choosing whether to save the city or the space station I was not able to finish the mission in any way.

-In Jack's loyalty quest there exists an unreachable door in the second floor in the large room where you fight the Vorcha (in the one where they attack from the windows). This door opens and closes when you approach
it despite you being on the ground floor.

Glitches related to user controls and getting stuck:

-When using the M-44 Hammerhead to harvest yellow resource circles, the game tells you to hold down right mouse button. However doing so nothing happens; you have to press and hold another key (that was 'V' for me) to harvest resources.

-Party members sometimes get stuck and do not respond to power use and move orders when they do move behind cover. In that state they do not acknowledge orders by voice.

-Party members do not respond to power use orders (from the Left Shift menu) despite acknowledging and responding to move orders (usually occurs when they are behind cover). After moving around a little they begin
responding to power use orders again.

-You sometimes can not acquire targets despite them being all in open and you having a clear line of sight to them (from the Left Shift menu).

-Shepard faces some other direction than forward and moves towards that direction when you press the forward key (W). This happens extremely rarely when you move around and press left shift at the same time. Bringing
up the main menu and then resuming your game fixes Shepards's orientation.

-Shepard slides instead of walking while in the middle of an omni-tool scan animation.

-Shepard sometimes gets stuck when he runs into tables or on inclined surfaces (being instantly appearing on them and then being unable to move). He gets stuck in various other places too (randomly).

-When you use a power while holding a sniper rifle (from the Left Shift menu), the rifle zooms in making it really hard to use powers wielding a sniper rifle.

-You can not skip the Illium landing and leaving video like you do with other planets (intentional ?)


User interface glitches:

-Sometimes a black rectangle appears behind the choices in the dialog wheel (it appears in subtitles too).

-Incisor Sniper Rifle does not have the correct serial numbers after upgrades.

-Some powers when fully evolved have reduced durations for party members (like the Unstable Warp). Numbers boxes that show power's statistics at various levels display the incorrect (upgraded) Recharge Time for
levels 1,2 and 3 (intentional ?).

-You can highlight and select your remaining squad points which is displayed in the upper left of your screen (intentional?)

-Typo: Group Dominate: Increases Dominate power against all multiple organic targets near impact point.

Also the way it puts it is confusing in my oppinion. Should have been something like: Dominate effects all organic targets near impact point.

Glitches in the Galaxy Map:

-If you move away from the fuel depot before you completely refill your supply of fuel, you get stuck in a sound loop of fuel being loaded into your ship. The loop ends when you land a planet or leave the galaxy map.

-Sometimes when you leave a planet close-up and return to the solar system view (the ones you can visit planets and moons) you become unable to move. You can enter the orbit again however and after leaving the close-up once again you are able to move your ship again.

These are the ones that I found. Please add your findings.

- When visiting Wrex for the first time, his guard has invisible weapon in his hand (appears to be holding it, but the weapon is invisible)

- New Kestrel Armor - the leg part covers part of Sheps pistol - looks pretty bad

- In most cutscenes, Shepard is holding Assault Rifle, although he has no such training - this is simply ridiculous and must be fixed - immersion breaking bug

- In the Samara recruitment mission, when meeting Elnora, Grunt is holding a Pistol although he has only shotgun and AR

And some more:

- When Shepard comes for the first time to Omega, he/she meets that stupid salarian, then a batarian comes on and says some words we can't hear (at least in Italian version);

- Sometimes some people disappear and we see only the background. I noticed that on Tuchanka, when Wrex hits Uvenk with a head butt (it didn't happen with versions prior to 1.02) and on the Normandy, talking with Samara about ship upgrade (this always happened);

- When you bring Miranda to Anderson's office on Citadel, at a certain time she comes in marching from a looooooong distance, farther than the office wall (I don't know if this happens with other people);

- Various people suddenly change position for a while, then return to the original position: for example, the male engineer of the Normandy during the first conversation with Shepard, Samara during the first meeting with Shepard, Thane during his loyalty mission (when he and Shepard finish Kelham's interrogation and exit the room), etc.;

- DLC's (Firewalker and Overlord): can't save game during a travel aboard the Hammerhead (intentional?);

- We can hear many voices on the Citadel or on Illium, but one at a time! If we start listening to a news bulletin, then we move a step, we hear some people talking but the news are gone (too few audio channels?);

- If Shepard is an infiltrator, when he/she zooms with the sniper rifle the world goes slow for a second or two; for example, we hear Miranda speaking slowly and with a batarian's voice (intentional?);

- Already described in many posts the audio glitch in dialogs, with truncated sentences, which happens on any hardware that is far above the recommended specs, no matter it's overclocked or not (repetita juvant, as Romans said);

- Random crashes here and there; sometimes these crashes corrupt the Player.prf file located under user's documents and all achievements get lost;

- Many graphic glitches: people seem to float 5 cm over the floor, Joker seems to be suspended 15 cm over his seat, people which cross arms seem to intersecate themselves, etc..

this is intentional, the same happens if your a soldier and sprint iirc

this is intentional, the same happens if your a soldier and sprint iirc


Thanks. But I find this a little frustrating. There MUST be an option to disable it.

This can be easily fixed by reading the changelog of Patch 1.01

Come on, the Patch was released in February. Months before Hammerhead was released.

El Bumpo strikes back :-)

I forgot this. There's an incongruity about Overlord DLC. You can start it even if you haven't installed Firewalker; in it, you drive the Hammerhead. But you find this vehicle during the first Firewalker mission; so, where came it from? Bioware should have put both DLC's in one package and compel players to do at least the first Firewalker mission before Overlord.

The problem on Tuchanka seems to be resolved; I installed the latest nVidia drivers (258.96) and now I see Wrex when he hits Uvenk.

Kestrel Helmet Bug (Aegis DLC):

For some Assignments (eg N7 Blood Pack Base and all Firewalker DLC Missions) Sheppard will wear the normal N7 Helmet instead of the Kestrel Helmet. The rest of the armor will show up fine though

hi guys im having trouble with thehammerhead dlc. i tells me to press left shift to jump and right click to harvest but when i press those buttons nothing happens. any ideas? thanks a lot

Hammerhead doesn't like custom key binds. You have to reset key bindings even if you never customized them.

I have custom bindings on my hammerhead, and so far no issue. I use shift to harvest for instance because I like that to be able to control the movement and harvest well. Some can work, but you have to be careful and find a setup that works and keep it.

I seem to have found a glitch. I am playing through the game for about the 6th time and any way I have been playing for about seven hours and I have beaten everything except the mission where you pick up Grunt but the Faris Fields mission(the one where you try to save the colony)will not start for some reason. I am not getting a call from TIM or anything. Also on this file the Shadow Broker,Arrival,and Overlord DLC is not showing up. It shows up on my other files and the other ones play fine but not this one. Any ideas what could be up?

Has anyone had the medi gel icon during combat constantly flash? It seemed to start midway through the collector ship.
