...Actually you do see something similar in the beginning at Ostagar. One of the Templars tells you not to go near the mages because "They're in the fade and need to concentrate" (or something similar I forget the exact dialogue).
Reread what I wrote. I said exactly that you see the mages who are in the fade. However, oddly enough you don't see a bunch of other mages standing around them performing some strange ritual. All you see are the ones who are actually in the fade. Which would lend support to the idea that they don't need to stand around performing some complex time consuming chant. They cast the spell that sent the other mages to the fade and then went about their business.
You never see the ritual that sends them there.
The ones actually in the fade and completely vulnerable while so.The Templars are guarding them. And that's just to go to the fade. Whose to say the spell casting didn't have this same moment of vulnerability as well? Every time a mage casts a spell he/she leaves him/herself wide open to an attack while doing so no matter how long the spell takes to cast.
What's your point? Nobody is going into the fade here.
True but all rituals are always done in secure locations. That doesn't really say one thing or another though. Hm...
Still the whole taking the someone not destroyed archedemon's soul thing is looking more and more implausbile.
Also: Yay on DR not being forced canon! Thank God!
