If you download the 'pure' patch from the bioware site you'll see its "only" 90'ish MB, somehow the steam version much be a complete pack or otherwise special.. :)

Gotta say,  I can't believe how impatient some people are. Bioware announces that the patch will be going out Monday, and there are around three pages of posts in the 1.04 announcement thread of people going "It's Monday, patch isn't up, wtf is going on?".  They don't have someone sitting at the office waiting til 12:00am to hit a magic button.

As much as I rake on Bioware, this patch seems to be pretty smooth so far.  I still think it'd be a great idea to incorporate Qwinn's Fixpack with the Official patches so the console users can get the engine patches (which is Bioware's focus) combined with the campaign and dialogue fixes (which is Qwinn's focus).  Seriously, Qwinn's fixpack opens up a good 15-20 minutes of dialogue that you don't hear without it, and that alone makes it worth it for a DA:O fan.

I think that's a bit of a forum hype machine myth.
I can't think of a single game patch I've had for my PS3 that was anywhere close to 4 meg or under.
Most of them are quite large.

Does this mean that some compiled scripts in existing packages will no longer work [bad], or does it mean that new versions of those scripts can no longer be compiled in the toolset [equally bad] ?

I don't see anything about the fix for the daggers on the console versions or will this be updated once the console version patch is released?

Also what does it mean by floating numbers not appearing I actually liked knowing how much damage I did to an enemy?

If a character is imported into Dragon Age: Awakening and is stripped of their incompatible gear from DLC, they will be equipped with default equipment.


This isn't working? Just imported my rogue and he's still naked.

It broke my game :(. All my DLCs are unauthorised and I cannot create a character. Have a look at what happened :

The patch notes seem rather brief. For 4 months of work, I'd expect them to a bit more extensive. I was hoping there were additional fixes beyond what Victor was announcing, but that seems not to be the case.

So the Orzammar fix only works in new games before you're stuck? Or is there something new I have to do in order to get one candidate to speak with me?

Also, I had the problem with the DLC at first, but you just have to restart it a few times or switch characters and then switch back and load your game.

someone else said they restarted and it eventually recognized the dlc.

In case someone is wondering, one of the most popular Interface mods out there, FTG UI (with codex improvements) is working perfectly with the new patch :)

You only have one problem, I have two : invisibility mode in your character creator menu and invalidated dlcs :(

Well, that didn't work for me. Neither did restarting the PC, logging in/out etc.

haveyou tried reinstalling the game to vinnila? then patchign it again?

hmmm....could the dlc issue just be from the servers being slow due to all the people downloading the patch?
