Never mind, it fixed itself.

Hopefully you have a save file before you entered the mine; reloading and trying again is another "fix" I've heard about, though I'd really only say it's a way of trying again and hoping the bug doesn't arise. Did you try unequipping all of your gear before entering? That's how I hear most people are avoiding the bug.
Thanks! I'll give those things a shot. If downloading, refreshing, or just sitting doesn't help, then I'll submit an issue through support.balmung03 wrote...
People earlier have speculated that the DLC authentification problem was due to heavy traffic on the servers when the patch first came out, but that has most likely been lessened since. Other people have claimed that refreshing the "downloadable content page" (sometimes more than once, as a few people stated they did it over 10 times) will eventually work. Still others have said they let their computer sit connected to the DA servers for an hour or two and eventually it synchronized properly. Early on in this thread something was said about how the patch required you to re-download DLC content (or at least re-download the DRM for it) because of how the patch was designed. That could explain how you can use the DLC 'offline' but not while connected to the servers.
If none of those work for you, then I apologize for not being able to help.

I tried downloading the patch, but apparently it's not compatible with the Steam version of DAO and DAA? Is this correct or did my computer just go wonky? And if it is, when will a Steam-compatible version be released?

Sheesh, I feel your pain, guys! Anyone wonder whether it was a good idea whether or not Bioware should have even released Awakening before they got that **** taken care of???? lol
Ok, so I see that you've tried letting it sit on the DLC page for a while, and tried opening your firewall to the related files, with no luck. You've also uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and re-applied the patch. I'm not sure if you count this as part of the uninstall-reinstall process, but have you tried deleting and re-downloading the DLC files? I know this has worked for me on the 360 in the past, but I've never had experience with PC gaming and DLC at the same time.Sephiroth1111 wrote...

let everything related to bioware, EA, and DA:O thru my firewall
let the game sit and even tried contacting EA themselves and my
DLC still says that I don't have the proper version (it's shown in red)
I'm running out of ideas and paticients if anyone can shed some light on this
I'd be extreamly greatful
until then its Oblivion and the last remnant for me

Steam should auto-download the update for you; I've heard it's a hefty one, though.

Sorry for my bad English but I have a question: how can I submit to Bioware a bug that I've found?

thanks I will try that I just have one question.
In what folder would I find the DLC files in.
But if deleting the files and then re-downloading them doesn't work, then idk what to tell you.
