Same problem. It's just incredible how they manage to break something in every patch.

I have the same issue as well. Every time I attempt to load a game I receive the long message saying "This contains Premium Content, insert long list here, please sign in to access the content.'

For verification, it's the PC version DL'ed via Steam, with 2 minor mods (Morrigan and Leliana face mods) and the best mod ever, the Respec mod. (The raven one, just in case there are others out there)

I logged out of the servers in game, signed back in, and it still doesn't work. I only tested this with the main game, not with Awakening, Leliana's Song, or Darkspawn Chronicle.

My region is North America, Texas, Rio Grande Valley area.

I got the Origins DVD retail and have the same login issues well at least we can start a new character and play that one till they release a 1.4b to fix the connection issues etc.

Rebooted PC
Checked DAO is registered to my account
Run game as ADMIN
Uninstalled the DLC, Downloaded the DLC, reinstalled the DLC.

The DLCs showed up as unauthorized after logging in, but i waited cca 20 seconds and they were '"re-authorized". Maybe all you need to do is just wait a bit...

Ouch - a few problems already.

First and foremost, try and smore006 pointed out. Just wait for a bit until the servers pull down the necessary authorization for your DLC. Due to the way that some of the authorization issues were resolved, it's possible that it just needs to re-grab it off the servers and all will play nice after that. Generally speaking if it refreshes the correct number of BioWare points, it should (very) shortly after have nabbed the correct authorization. edit: you can view this in action on the Downloadable Content menu itself.

If THAT doesn't work... okay, I know this is not ideal but for those of you affected by this issue, would you give re-installing and patching up a try? After that, log in to your BioWare/EA account in-game, go to the downloadable content and give it a bit.

first and foremost: back up your savegames. When you uninstall, you should have the option to preserve your savegames, but just in case: In your My Documents there should be a folder called BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\characters - make sure you copy that whole characters folder to a safe place so you don't lose your games.

When it's successfully refreshed how many BioWare points you have, it should have pulled down the necessary authorization for any associated DLC and you should be able to re-download the content you own.

Please let me know how that goes.

Maybe its due to Awakening not being registered for me on http://social.biowar...es_register.php

I tried to enter the CD from Steam, but I am told that is invalid.

So, trying https://ea.onlinereg...m/?LOCALE=en_US

I've never had problems with Awakening not showing as registered on that www page before....

Sorry about that and the accompanying inconvenience. I imagine the auth servers might be getting slightly hammered, what with the patch release and all that. I'll continue monitoring these posts (as well as other posts on the forums), though.

Waiting for the authorization like you suggested, it worked. Didn't have to reinstall anything.

I am having the same issue. I tried deleting all my DLC, but it asks me to repurchase it? Nathan thanks for advice, trying uninstall reinstall. Servers are probably just clogged.

Edit: Ok, it authorized now. But just to test, I exited the game and reopened it, and it did it again :( I wish there was a way to cache the authorization. I didn't realize I would have to reauth each time I opened the game.

I hope this doesn't happen on 360 version. I have copies of both :) <3 Bioware forever

Edit #2: Just seems to take awhile when I open the game, seems ok now. Only takes 5-10s. I can deal with that :)

Thanks for getting the servers up and running! *runs off to play now*

When I downloaded the update about 3 hours ago, I too was unable to access my DLC's. Following the thought process by "Nathan Willis (Moderator)", that it was probably due to the severs getting hammered, so I waited. I just went back into the game and after about 2 minutes, all of my DLC's (I have every DLC that BioWare has released for DAO, DAA and ME2) were back and authorized. Following again, the suggestion from "Nathan Willis (Moderator)", I have also "Logged Off" of the BioWare servers to prevent them from possibly causing another hiccup on the DLC's.

I hope that is the worst of the experience and that from this point forward, the 1.04 upgrade will be smooth sailing! Thank You Nathan Willis, and Good Luck to ALL!

Hello Nathan Willis,

Question, what is your Title? I posted a reply to this thread, wherein I stated you were a "Moderator", but after reviewing the list of Moderators at the bottom of this page, I noticed your name was not listed as one of them. You are obviously with BioWare as your Avatar so states, but what is your position with them, if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks for your help, it was a very welcome reply to a lot of frustration over the new update, which in my opinion is unwarranted. People need to back off the trigger some what and allow you all to take the time to properly fix and distribute the fixes, before the trigger is pulled. Just my 2 cents!

He's not noted as a moderator, but as a BioWare employee. Which probably means he works on the game in some fashion.

Anyways, I just want to echo the solution.  After the patch the DLC was unauthorized, but after a couple restarts, logging out of and into my profile, then waiting a bit, it authorized.  The restarts and logging out was probably unnecessary. ^_^

This sounds logical and is indeed very likely what is happening. I imagine the "authentication data" needed to authenticate your purchases is really small (less then a megabyte) and it's just the servers being hit by 100's or 1000's of people at once.

Do the consoles use the same authentication servers?

Also, it makes sense it authenticates each time you play else it wouldn't really be much of a protection feature now would it? :P

I've tried almost everything apart from re-installing. I might try that now.

I seem to be having a similar, but slightly different problem.

The game knows I'm authenticated... but it thinks the addons aren't installed. They're not in my DLC list anymore, but they are on the purchase list. If I go to "buy" one, it tells me I already own it.

It then tells me to go to the DLC thing and download it... except thats where I already am.

Solved my own problem.

Under My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings, I deleted Manifest.xml.

Immediately upon loading Dragon Age, everything showed up again. I had to re-download, but small price to pay, really.

Once you patch it etc click on Downloadable Content and wait for your Bioware points to be updated and then you load your save game.
