No, there is something specific to today going on. I have also been playing with a standard non-ultimate DVD install, using Stone Prisoner DLC. It has worked without issues for about 2 straight weeks since installing it. Today ,it doesn't want to recognize it some of the time, and other times it will. In addition, trying to register a new code on the website today yields an error and no redemption of the code.

Check the EA Support site (help.ea.com/article/activation-billing-and-registration-issues-102711):

We are currently experiencing issues with certain elements of our billing and registration system. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience, and are working to restore functionality to the affected games.

While our Game Advisors will be unable to assist with this particular issue, we are standing ready to help with any other concerns that you may have.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Maybe they should rethink their DRM strategy. Didn't the four day outage in April where no one could play the game anywhere teach them anything? How about authorizing DLC for 30 days after login for that account or something, so it doesn't have to be re-authorized every time? It's not like if I own the DLC I'm going to un-own it or anything.

Some of this new discussion might have merit, but it does not warrant resurrecting a month's old, dead thread. It's just rude-- making new people read through months of necrotic tissue to get your new point.

As someone pointed out, there's a process for dealing with technical issues outlined in the "Read This First" sticky. Use it.
