Hello everyone,This is an old post that I've had bookmarked for years about what mods people think are essential so I'm reposting them here.  I'm not including every single post, only the ones which either have links or suggest good mods.  Some of the links may not work or are outdated, no longer availible, etc but I wanted to try and get this up here anyway. I hope everyone finds these posts as useful as I have. Enjoy.

PART 1

If someone's already done this, flame me for not finding it.

I
was over at Neverwinter Vault (http://nwvault.ign.com/) skimming the
various lists of community-created add-ons for NWN 2 and thought, "We
really need a good list of the must-have tweaks for NWN 2." So here I
am requesting them.

Since I posted, I'll start with the overrides
I've grabbed thus far.

Tony K's Companion and Monster AI 1.1
I, like many from what I've seen,
have found NWN 2's AI to be a bit lacking. This mod offers greater
control, smarter monster/foe AI and more.

LostCreation's Rod
of Preparation

If you're tired of casting the same
sequence of buffs and preparation spells rest after rest, here's the
solution.

Reeron's Spell Fixes and Improvements
We all know how folks have been
gathering up lists of spells that don't work quite right or adhere
exactly to D&D rules. This goes a long way to fix them and provides
other useful tweaks as well, like ranged spell touch attacks for
caster-rogues.

Chainsaw XIV's Complete Craftsman
The Complete Craftsman is an upgrade
for the basic crafting system in Neverwinter Nights 2 which includes
numerous fixes and improvements, and blends seamlessly with the official
campaign and any other mod that uses the basic crafting system. With
TCC you can easily rename items, enchant your wondrous objects with
additional effects, and more. All through the standard crafting system,
without any special commands or cheat codes.

There, I've done my
piece, now tell us what add-ons and haks we shouldn't live without.

Thanks!

Heed's PC Tools

Simply put, a must.

Spell Fixes

Actually makes spells and
abilities work correctly. Unlike some others, it only fixes bugs and
doesn't attempt to rebalance the game, making it a true must-have for
everyone. Nice to have more of the in-game descriptions be accurate Posted Image

[ed: this is an alternative to the above-posted Reeron's
Spell Fixes and Improvements, you probably will want to install one or
the other, and not both.]

Rod of Fast Buffing

I like it better than the Rod of
Preparation because it is simpler, without so many extra files.

Great thread.

I can´t play nwn2 without this:
Charlie's UI
A
more compact UI with less wasted space, safe for multiplayer.

Read
all the changes here:

If you are playing online, you are likely to find a need for this in the
future:

Audolo: Click Here

Many PW creators use it to allow
for PWC updates without requiring you to re-download the entire PWC file
again. It simply updates the altered portions to your PWC file when
you use the program, and will greatly reduce your PWC update time.
Hence, it will mean more online play time for you, making your game time
much more enjoyable.

Right... Presently, my installed stuff is :

- No limit on
character names
- OC's Tools and Fixes
- United Colours
- NWN
Voicesets
- Expanded loot bags
- Whatbrick's New Heads (a few new
heads, some of which are good!)
- Always Summer (replacing clothes,
showing more skin without being nude)
- Charlie's UI
- REERON's
spellfixes

I installed most of those after 1.05, and Reeron's
fixes after 1.06

OK, just can't play the OC without the ability to switch party members

The already-mentioned Party Roster is invaluable.

The one mod I
really like that hasn't been mentioned yet is xui:

Also, the "Always Summer -
Alternate Clothing and armor" is kind of nice:

It makes a lot of the female
versions of armor look more attractive without going to the level of the
"chainmail-bikini."

The Player's Handbook by gaoneng is essential:

Player's Handbook is an in-game
manual add-on for Neverwinter Nights 2. It presents detailed
information on all playable races, classes, skills and abilities, feats,
and spells in an organized format.

Mods I use that have been mentioned:
Always Summer
Whatbrick's

Charlie's Item Appearance Changer
Player1's

Mods I use that haven't been mentioned:
Guitars and Glasses
Because of how ugly the
party mask helmet appearance and lutes are, and because of how cool
these new guitars and shades are, I feel this mod is absolutely
necessary.

Shirtless Sage Volume 2
I may not be a big,
beefy man, but I can now play one in my game.

Mystic Knight
The Mystic Knight is a custom
class I made to replace the Bard, which I felt was a class with tons of
unrealized potential.

PART 2

Shame on you if you don’t play with Adonnay's Elven Weaponry.
It turns at least the
original toy-blades into real arms. Especially the scimitars are
adorable.

I can also recommend TroveLord's Level Up Screen Change if you still like
to know what's going on around your character while leveling-up.

Last
but not least, for all dumb characters, my Improved Potions of Lore override is a must to
install! Posted Image

For anyone crawling a dungeon, cave, tomb, or any other restricted
space, this is a must have if you care to actually see where you are
going and what is around you when using buffs such as Mage Armor and
Protection from Alignment.

Less Obtrusive Spell Buffs by clubok

I
was just about to post that one. Absolutely essential, and one I hope
Obsidian just incorporates into stock NWN2.

The other I really
like is another of clubok's contributions, Bard Songs That Don't Stop Inspirations. Really
makes playing a Bard more enjoyable, and truer to my understanding of
how their songs and inspirations are supposed to work. -B

Shameless plug here, but for companion multi-classing, I find that my
own mod works best. No .2da changes, no scripts, no fancy console
commands.

Companion Multi-classing

I also use these:
United Colors - thinking about taking this one out
as it can give some really off teh wall skin tones for NPC's
Charlie's UI
Tiny Spellbook
Level-up Screen Change

All this combined
makes a perfect UI for me to use. I don't go in much for additional
content, but there is some interesting stuff that i may use later.

I've always enjoyed the savegame editor that allows me to de-level
without losing history feats. It's crafted by Scripter Ron and a welcome
option to anyone's playstyle. Can be tempting to cheat, so be aware

do just about anything to your char. For me it's nice to re-level some
of my comrads to my play style, adding to the game I think, not
detracting.

I've added a number of mods/haks to increase the challenge of the single
player OC/MotB game since I'd rather have the enemies put up a tough
fight (forcing an occasional reload) than to rush through the storyline
with little trouble. Most, if not all, of these modifications have been
mentioned before, but if someone is seeking a real challenge, here's my
list:

Tony K's Companion and Monster AI -- A must!!
Reeron's Spell Fixes and Feat Improvements -- adds a
little zip with PnP difficulty.
Reeron's Increased Challenge -- Same link as for
Reeron's fixes, but this deserved a separate mention. I play at 150% of
normal.
Charlie's UI -- Get those icons organized! You'll
need to.

My personal essentials include:
1. Companion and Monster AI by Tony_K
2. Reduced hit effects by Belcrash (also using Volatile's work)
3. SlimGUI by Sliders (the green one)
4. Less Obtrusive Spell Buffs by Clubok
5. Improved Arcane Spell Visuals by DireRabbit
6. Alternative skin effects by Knsgf
7. Light Emitter in Spell Effects by K2
8. Spell Fixes and Improvements by Reeron and Trekkari
9. NWN2 Creature Distance Tweaks by Zarathustra217

These really improve the game experience! I can't recommend them enough!

Though you may need to remove some duplicate files for points 4-6 and 8 - these sometimes modify the same spell scripts and you can only have one modification active in your override.

Here's some more anti-buff-VFX packs (cf. Haplose above, those reduce VFX, these remove them altogether)

Removed Weapon Effects - niapet
"This mod will simply remove all the visual effects from all weapons."

Remove Annoying Effects (Stoneskin, Barkskin, etc) - Aznar
"This mod removes the visual effect on your characters such as Barkskin, Stoneskin, and Greater Stoneskin."

Remove Annoying Effects - Extension (Tortoise Shell) - Cyphre
"This mod removes the visual effect of the 'Tortoise Shell'-spell from your characters. Inspired by Aznar's 'Remove Annoying Effects (Stoneskin, Barkskin, etc)'."

Disease VFX Removal - Sean
"If you want to remove the VFX from your game, stick this in your override or your HAK and voila. No more green tendrily VFX."

Note that Less Obtrusive Spell Buffs - clubok has a package that removes spell-buffs, as well as one that simply reduces them.

I personally use clubok's 'BuffNoEffects1.4' (for buffs), bellcrash's 'NWN2_VFX' (for minimal weapon hits & effects), and Aznar's & Cyphre's 'NoSkins' (for more buffs), plus Sean's 'Disease VFX Removal'. That said, it's not *that* hard to examine the above modi's and find out what's going on; the 'command script' for VFX is the spell's corresponding '.sef' file - just create one in your MyDocs->override, blank it out or better, copy the completely pared-down contents from one that you know works right ..

(eg,
'nx2_s0_nightshield.ncs' spell <-> 'sp_nightshield.sef' VFX
'nw_s0_shadshld.ncs' spell <-> 'sp_shadow_shield.sef' VFX
'x0_s0_shieldfait.ncs' <-> 'sp_shield_faith.sef' VFX

Btw, those three I couldn't find pre-done)

The most practical way to find when buffs wear off, is watching for the debuff Icon that floats overhead!

The following list of posts (post of lists?) is of course by no means near comprehensive; offhand, I've left out many re-skins (hairstyle, appearance, etc.), weaponry & armor packs, and basically anything that requires the Toolset (any creatures, placeables, prefabs, etc.) .. honestly, the more I fix & expand my game, the more I realize there is that can be fixed & expanded.

JOG's modifications
Two-Rowed Hotbar
Alternative hotbar with 2x12 slots and additional UI buttons. Two variants: 1. Three UI-functions and SoZ game-mode-selection / 2. Six UI-functions
Sal's Guestbook
This mod adds dialogue to the NPC Sal you'll find in the Sunken Flagon as well as in the Phoenix Tail Inn later on. Ask him to show you the guestbook to open the party-selection menu without having to leave the Flagon. Also, a certain gang of street urchins now will run and fetch your companions as an extra service.
MotB: Spirit Energy Tweak
As an alternative to completely disabling the spirit eater curse, this little tweak slows down the hourly loss of spirit energy to a quarter of the original amount. (Alternatives for 1/2 and 1/3 as well as source and instructions for customizing are included)
MotB: Rooster-Cheat
Since Mask of the Betrayer now uses dialogue for inviting NPCs into the party the old 'ga_party_limit' cheats no longer work. This little tweak changes the script that checks for the number of party members so that it always returns "False" when dialogue checks whether it is larger than x.
(Also, some Warlock stuff)

Rebalanced Animal Companions + Worg - Jake Zahn
This small Mod rebalances the various animal companions to be a little bit more useful, both in general and against each other, as well as fixes some errors that were present in their default blueprints. It also adds a Worg as a selectable companion.
Silver Sword Fix - SushiSquid
This will change the Silver Sword's weapon type into whatever choice you download. Unlike previous versions of this pack, the silver sword you receive will no longer be the universal sword type. Instead, it will be of whatever weapon type you picked. Remember that this does mean you will require certain proficiencies to use it now.
Super Wildshape Fix - CuteUnit
I've gone ahead and gotten around that by rewriting the scripts to tally ALL ac and saving throw bonuses from gear pre-poly then apply them as supernatural effects post-poly, as well as copying all the item properties. If this seems similar to the ShapeChange Fix by Forbidden, it is! I've built on he and Reeron's work to create something superior.
Square Minimap - cyricc
Enlarged the minimap and made it square to increase the visible area.
Requiem - Domi Sotto aka Melirinda
Requiem is a tiny add-on that adds a number of dialogue options to Ammon Jerro’s conversation about the OC companions in MoTB. The options allow the PC to express his or her grief over the character’s deaths or hope that those who survive are faring well, and, if they have at least 3 levels of cleric, to say a Prayer for the Dead.
Medieval Alternative Music Pack - Simon L'Aleph
Tired of the original NWN2 Music ? Try the alternative pack !
NWN2 OC Makeover SoZ Edition - Kaldor Silverwand / Brendan Bellina
The NWN2 OC Makeover SoZ Edition is a collection of scripts, items, and UI modification that can be applied to the NWN2 Official Campaign in order to enable features of SoZ when playing the OC. This requires the NWN2 OC, MoTB expansion, and the SoZ expansion.
NWN2 OC Nasher Set Fix - Kaldor Silverwand / Brendan Bellina
Lord Nasher has four magical items - boots, gloves, cloak, and ring. But in the NWN2 OC you can only get the ring and boots. According to the descriptions these four items when worn together provide additional enhancements, though individually they are outmatched by other items in the OC. These four items were defined in the game toolset but only the boots and ring were placed into the game itself. The ring, although intended to be a unique item, is actually in the OC in two places. (note, contained in the Makeover Edition)
NWN2 Plot Fixes - WRFan
Collection of plot fixes for NWN2. So far only NWN2 OC & MoB fixes are included. Extract into the Override directory. To be updated....
Spell Fixes compilation v3.42 - player1
This is compilation of various spell fixes for bugs found in Neverwinter Nights 2. Only fixes for actual bugs are included, since balance or PnP tweaks aren't goal of this compilation. (note, contained in Kaedrin's PrC Pack)
MotB Pre-order Items - Kaedrin
This contains the three pre-orders for Mask of the Betrayer. (note, contained in Kaedrin's PrC Pack)
Spirit Shaman / Favored Soul Exploit Fixed - Kaedrin
Currently there is a bug with favored soul and spirit shaman where you continue to gain spellcasting progression if you take an arcane progression prestige class.(note, contained in Kaedrin's PrC Pack)
Player's Handbook (updated version) - gaoneng (maintained by fire&ice)
Player's Handbook is an in-game manual add-on for Neverwinter Nights 2. It presents detailed information on all playable races, classes, skills and abilities, feats, and spells in an organized format.
Player's Handbook - Special Editions - Player's Handbook Team
The Special Edition Player's Handbooks include information on custom content from the community. Handbooks are available for content from Reeron and Kaedrin at present.
Personal Impossibility Adjustment - kevL's et al.
This package increases the difficulty of creatures and NPCs. Its core is a script that fires onSpawn and onHeartbeat, with a number of parameters that are adjustable through a simple one-row .2da file. It also has an optional script that can cause drops of gems and OC-essences, for crafting.

Trainer Mods:
Vordan's Hero Creator - Vordan
Vordan's Hero Creator (VHC) is a trainer module for Neverwinter Nights 2. It gives you the power to set up a character with gold, items and XP. The latest version includes Charlie's Item Modifier and is compatible with Kaedrin's PrC Pack.
JEGs Training module - WhatIsSol
This module is designed to be a simple and quick way to test builds. All of the merchants are in a single room, this is by design to limit walking distance with an attached danger room.

Voicesets:
Full Voicesets (including SoU/HotU) - Non-Prophet
NWN2 includes in its game data the voicesets from the original NWN companions but not those from SoU or HotU. I have extracted all of the full voicesets from the two expansions and modified the NWN2 soundset.2da to enable access to them, as well as to the full voicesets from NWN's OC and, of course, from NWN2. A few are from NPCs and not companions, but they are full nonetheless.
Ultimate NWN2 Voice Pack 1.61 - Simon L'Aleph
Brand new voicesets adapted from various games.

Portraits:
63 Portraits - razide0506
A collection of 63 portraits that I made using artwork that I found in various places on the net. All credit goes to the various artists who created these pictures. I simply cropped them so that they could be used in NWN2.
56 Portraits - razide0506
A collection of 56 portraits converted from some of my favorite NWN portraits here on the Vault. All credit goes to the various artists the created them.
Selected Portraits from KK's Collection - khazar_khum
(Medieval & Renaissance themes mostly)
Grey's NWN2 Portraits Compilation - Greyshore
A compilation of 275 resized NWN1 Portraits for NWN2 I did for the players at the Persistent World of Dasaria II.
Cleitanious' Potraits Packs | 1 & 2 - Cleitanious
There are 132 portraits in total, in pack 1 & 32 in Pack 2 and cover a very wide range of characters.
142 Oriental portraits - SDJ
Skullport Portrait Pack - Laurna
A compilation of over 600 portraits from various sources like royo etc.. All adjusted to work with NWN2. (girls!)
Coliphorbs' portraits (21 portraits each):
Coli's Portrait Pack #1
Coli's Portrait Pack #2
Coli's Portrait Pack #3
Coli's Portrait Pack #4
Coli's Portrait Pack #5
Coli's Portrait Pack #6
Coli's Portrait Pack #7

SoZ fixes:
Port Llast Undead Army Fix (SoZ) - Joshauwa
This is a simple fix for (some) of the problems with the Port Llast quests that have to do with Septimund, Nya, and Lord Adreum. I have only fixed errors where it is obvious what the developers have meant to do ...
SOZ "Holiday" Expansion Project - Chaos Wielder & the NWN2 Community
"Storm of Zehir" is the gift that keeps on giving. To that end, some modders decided, "Hey, why don't we add more dungeons to it." Traps were set, schemes schemed, and marriages ruined by calamitous plans for further adventures.
SOZ Inshula De-Level Fix - Jaesun999
This will give you a dialogue option to allow you to de-level inshula, if she has the two-weapon fighting style feat. (So that you can re-adjust her to an Archery Style Ranger).
SoZ Overland Encounter Reducer (v1.0) - E.C.Patterson
I started to play Storm of Zehir recently and was quickly overwhelmed by the staggering quantity of hostile random encounters spawning on the overland map. I found the number of them both ridiculous and annoying. So I edited the script that controls the probability/frequency of hostile encounters to reduce the rate at which they pop up and am now finding the game much more enjoyable, and believable.

re. Traps:
Trap kits with detailed info - Knsgf
This pack modifies trap kit descriptions to include trap effects as well as save and set trap DCs.
Moreus Trap Fix - Moreus
(fixes trap issues)

Visual:
Charlie's Item Appearance Changer
This UI driven system allows you to select from a range of item appearances for your visible equipment! It can be installed for use in the official campaign, or added to your new module or online world. You can preview different armor, weapons, cloaks, helms, boots, gloves and shields.
Charlie's Appearance Changer Expansion Patch - Jake Zahn
This is a Patch to add additional template options to Charlie's Appearance Changer.
United Colors - gaoneng
United Colors replaces the limited 18-slot palettes in the character creation screen with a universal 256-slot palette.
Improved Cleave and AOO Animations - CuteUnit
Wasn't very impressed with the gnome-high flat billboard that NWN2 replaced the manic lumberjack animations from Cleave and such circa NWN1. Can never get that back with the limits of NWN2 as I understand them, but I created these improved effect files for cleave and attacks of opportunity. I'm particularly pleased with the cleave effect.
Better low light vision - niapet
I always hated the way the low light and dark vision looked in this game, to the point that i used light and torches with my elf! Anyway I smoothed out the gradiant on these effects to they look more like a torch or light spell.
Camb's COMBAT Splatter (v1.1) - Camb (aka Divaren on nwn2 forums)
Adds blood splatter to the ground during combat which slowly shrinks and then disappears after time. The splats roll along the ground no matter the lay of the land (they are projections). If the engine ever supports projection effects FADING after time instead of shrinking, then I'll update to that. Still looks pretty sweet, though.
(contains small bug: mis-reference in the Yellow .sef files; fix, simply re-reference 'fx_yl_splt_proj03.dds' to 'fx_yellow_proj99.DDS')
Fixed Reduce Spells - Wyvern76
I was extremely excited to have the reduce line of spells added to NWN2. While I've found Enlarge interesting as it made halflings and other small races grow to the approximate hight of the taller races. I wrongly assumed Reduce would do the exact opposite. Indeed Reduce makes players silly doll size small. I tested in game and found that changing the scale effect in the spells from 0.50 to 0.63 produces the desired effect. That is makes a human match the hight of a halfling instead of a much smaller doll size.
The Grinning Fool's Complete Visual Darkness - Grinning Fool
This replaces the standard visual effect that allows human characters to see in the dark by default. To use, drop it in override (or in your module's hak or campaign folder) and that's it. Once this is in use, a player will be unable to see in a pitch-black area unless they have darkvision or other light source; even adjusting display or graphical gamma settings will not help.
Inverted Daggers Override - Ahnion
When I saw the recent submissions of all-new, inverted dagger models, I figured it shouldn't be that hard to twist the original ones around... so I did, and the results were surprisingly good. The fighting looks decidedly more underhanded, backstabbing and throat-slashing with the blades inverted.
Tintable Clothing Compilation pack | 1.2 - Cleitanious
This is a texture replacement. It replaces the Cloth, Chain, Leather and Plate Armor Textures, all of those with untintable areas (Which would always be light-brown or gray) they are now Color #2 or Color #3.
Trees Textures Overhaul - Ovocean
200+ textures have been taken care of to rescue trees and plants from the severe drought endured since the birth of Nwn2. Almost all trees have been touched up (color mostly, not leaf or trunk shape) using photographic reference each time to give them a "softer" and more realistic aspect.
I didn't touch to the winter trees at all.
Sharpened Textures - 3mily_ranger
Re-textured Animated Grass, Weapons, and Creatures, from the OC, MotB and SoZ.
NeilMc's reTextures:
All NWN2 Terrain Re-bumped-mapped
81 highly 'bump-mapped' /'Normal-mapped' terrain textures (Thats ALL OF THEM in the game!). So, all terrain should look nicely 3D when you select 'NORMAL MAPPED TERRAIN' in the game options- don't forget so select this or you won't see any difference!
All NWN2 Grass Desaturated with Added Detail
New Grass textures to replace the 'vanilla' textures (512x512 pixels). These new textures have been desaturated as to reduce the overly-green tinted 'vanilla' grass. Extra detail has been added for realism.
Floorboards (Hi Rez & Bump-mapped)
A high resolution (1024x1024 pixels) Floorboard texture to replace the 'vanilla' texture (512x512 pixels) found in a variety of indoor areas. The texture is also 'normal'/ 'bumpmapped'
All NWN2 Cloaks Retextured (Hi-Res & Bumpmapped)
New Cloak textures (1024x1024 pixels) to replace the 'vanilla' textures (512x512 pixels). These textures have added weave textures, and have an added satin-like texture (looks better in-game IMHO!'. Extra detail has been added as well as enhanced bump-mapping for realism.
All Bracers, Pauldrons, Greaves now Shiny, Retextured & re-bumpmapped
235 New Metallic/ Shiny wrist, waist, knee and elbow bracers, shoulder pauldrons and leg-greaves textures to replace *ALL* the 'vanilla' in-game textures and bumpmaps ( 235 textures plus 235 bumpmaps!!!). These textures are reworked version of the originals (to keep authenticity, and be faithful to the developers' view of Neverwinter), but with extra detail, and deeper bumpmaps with added refectivity of light. Extra detail has been added for realism and metals now actually shine! .....
Neverwinter Cobble texture (Hi Rez & Bump-mapped)
A high resolution (1024x1024 pixels) cobble texture to replace the 'vanilla' texture (512x512 pixels) found predominantly in the city of Neverwinter.
Real Oak and Mahogany Textures (Hi Rez & Bump-Mapped)
High resolution (1024x1024 pixels) real Oak textures and Mahogany textures which replace the 'vanilla' wood textures (512x512 pixels) found on grassy paths, and outside the Inn in Neverwinter and by the dock. The textures are 'normal'/ 'bumpmapped' and in .dds format.
Real Paving Stones, Kerbs/ Curbs & Bricks.
High resolution (1024x1024 pixels) real Polished Paving Stones, Kerbs (or Curbs, if you are American) & Brick, replacing the quite frankly hideous 'vanilla' textures (512x512 pixels) found around house and shop front walkways in Neverwinter. The textures have been designed to vary in colour from location to location, house to house, to add much needed variety and realism to Neverwinter. The textures are 'normal'/ 'bumpmapped' at both texture and tile level and are in .dds format.
NWN2 Cloaks with Deity Symbols
Some new Cloak textures with Deity Symbols (1024x1024 pixels) to replace the 'vanilla' textures (512x512 pixels). These textures have added weave textures, and have an added satin-like texture (looks better in-game IMHO!). Extra detail has been added as well as enhanced bump-mapping for realism.

Warlock love:
Combined Works v1.4.2 - Dubby, TonyK, Kaedrin, Reeron, Lorrn, Trekari, Draco Rayne, Fuegan
Dread Necromancer class - evertebrate
The Dread Necromancer is a new base class for Neverwinter Nights 2 based on the Dread Necromancer class from the "Heroes of Horror" source book.
Hellfire Warlock Revert - locust
Kaedrin recently implemented player1's fixes in his class pack. Those contain rule changes concerning Hellfire Warlocks Hellfire Shield / Blast, causing them to be automatically disabled when immune to ability damage. This mod contains patched scripts to disable this behaviour. Player1/Kaedrin also changed the effect type to extraordinary, which is also reverted.
Imbue Item Indexing Bug Fix - Lord Grave
This is most commonly known as "Power Essence Bug" when using Warlock's Imbue Item feat to add basic enchantments to weapons and armor with Power Essences in MotB crafting system. Although you put correct item and correct essences in the satchel, when you use Imbue Item on it you get a message saying that it is not a valid recipe. Recipes other than basic arms and armor enchantments might be affected, I didn't check.
Saralch's Invocation Pack - Saralach
New spells, new feats, pacts, and an SR fix for warlocks.
Warlock - the Imbue Item feat - ndsman
Imbue Item QuickFix for 1.10. The Imbue Item feat is finally available. However, we still can't use it because warlock can't learn "Craft Magical Arms and Armor" and "Craft Wondrous Items" feats. WTH...... Anyway, you can either use givefeat 1092/1093 or you can download my quickfix to skip the checks.
Warlock Reworked 1.02g - Selea
Base & Prestige classes Pack 1.26b - Selea
Warlock Spell Buffs - alex404
Warlock Buddy - Draco Rayne / Fuegan

And finally,
your Guides to Everything (42)

Neverwinter Citadel Project
Thieves-Guild
Legacy Bioware Forums

Well. That was a lot of copypasta.
& don't forget, at the NWVault you can click on the author's name and bring up a complete list of their submissions.
Please note, you may have to tangle with any of these - on the technical side - to get them working 'just so'. Many contain little bugs, potential for improvement, or they could conflict with one another outright. But if you're seriously looking at increasing the playability of your NWN2, you know the drill ..

Some Tools to help:
2da/tlk/gff Editor aka TlkEdit2 - EwaldTheUnimaginative
An editor for 2da, tlk and gff files written in Java.
MDB Cloner - RunnerDuck
After renaming and retexturing dozens of what was essentially the same model, I decided to make this tool for fast renaming and retexturing of models. It uses a simple graphical interface, and I tried to make it fairly intuitive.
NWN BIC (Character) Organiser - Jimbobslimbob
This program is used to view, archive, backup and open Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 bic (character) files.
NWN2 Character Editor - ScripterRon
Save game character editor for NWN2. It supports both player characters and companions. You can edit abilities, skills, feats, spells, inventory and companion influence. Requires Java Runtime Environment 1.6 or later.
NWN2Packer v1.9 - tani
pack/unpack MOD, PWC, HAK and other ERF-type files with my "swiss army knife" for the "encapsulated resource format".
Charlie's XML Conformer
Automatically adds quotes to UI xml attribute values to improve syntax highlighting.

honorable re-mentions:
Charlie's UI
A more compact UI with less wasted space, safe for multi player.
Companion and Monster AI 2.2 - Tony_K
This is a hak to improve the decision making of your companions and the monsters you combat. It is designed to work with the official campaign and with single and multiplayer modules. It is the successor to the NWVault NWN Hall of Fame hakpak Henchman Inventory & Battle AI.
In-Game XP Slider - The Fred
Not happy with the XP rate awarded by your current module? Perhaps you want to up the challenge by lowering your XP? Or perhaps you want to wipe the floor with a high-leveled solo character? Now, all of these things (and what is, essentially, "cheating") are possible, with The Fred's In-Game XP Slider.
SlimGUI v2.79 - Sliders
It all started out as a desire to compile all the various gui tweaks i was using into one (xUI, Slate's Tiny Spell book, Cyricc Compact Character Stats, Gaoneng Player's Handbook etc). I play in 1024 res and the default layout just takes too much space. I really loved the Baldur's Gate UI by Trevor Morris, but it took up even more space. Then I thought of modifying a few things myself...
Light Emitter in Spell Effects - v1.10 - K2
This VFX pack modifies certain spells within the game, allowing them to emit actual light as opposed to a non-light emitting glow effect. I always found it odd that several types of spells that you would think would emit light (like a fireball spell, or lightning, or magic missle, etc) do not. This VFX pack is my attempt to correct that, and in a manner that has the least performance impact, while preserving a realistic look to suit the spell effect modified.
NWN2 Creature Distance Tweaks v0.2 - Zarathustra217
First of all, combat, to me, felt too cluttered, with foes standing practically on your toes, seeming more like wrestling than what distance you would have when swinging and dodging swords. Part of what this package does is increasing the combat reach and personal space slightly. Second, running animations seem a bit off too, and the second part of this tweak is to increase it slightly.
Kaedrin's PrC Pack v1.40.4 - Kaedrin
This is my PrC Pack that includes these new PrCs: Anointed Knight, Avenger, Black Flame Zealot, Bladesinger, Canaith Lyrist, Champion of the Wild, Dark Lantern, Divine Seeker, Dragonslayer, Dread Commando, Elemental Archer, Elemental Warrior, Fist of the Forest, Forest Master, Frost Mage, Heartwarder, Hospitaler, Knight of Tierdrial, Lion of Talisid, Lyric Thaumaturge, Master of Radiance, Nature's Warrior, Nightsong Enforcer, Nightsong Infiltrator, Shadowbane Stalker, Shining Blade, Skullclan Hunter, Stormsinger, Swiftblade, Tempest, Thug, Warrior of Darkness, Whirling Dervish, Ninja, Scout, Child of Night, Daggerspell Mage, Daggerspell Shaper, Dervish, Dissonant Chord, Dragon Warrior, Dread Pirate, Eldritch Disciple, Ghost-Faced Killer, Wilderness Stalker. It also includes 123 new spells, the Blackguard and Assassin spellbook upgrade, new and revised cleric domains (13 new, 16 revised), my fletching upgrade, general fixes, an upgraded blackguard servant, and 93 new feats.
Spell Fixes and Improvements version 6.03 - Reeron and Trekari
Various spell, bard songs, and invocation fixes for NWN2, MotB and SoZ.
MotB viable Companion multiclass - hahntsak
I finally made this work for MotB. DMCain wrote it originally but apparently no longer is involved with nwn2.
Companion Multi-classing - DMCain
This simple mod allows you to multi-class your companion into any class they are eligible for.
The Complete Craftsman - ChainsawXIV
The Complete Craftsman is an upgrade for the basic crafting system in Neverwinter Nights 2 which includes numerous fixes and improvements, and blends seamlessly with the official campaign and any other mod that uses the basic crafting system. With TCC you can easily rename items, enchant your wondrous objects with additional effects, and more. All through the standard crafting system, without any special commands or cheat codes.
The Complete Craftsman MotB-SoZ Patch & Rebalance - Jake Zahn
This is a Patch to update the Complete Craftsman Mod, by ChainsawXIV, to work correctly with Mask of the Betrayer installed. If you do NOT have Mask of the Betrayer installed, then using these files may cause bugs and you would probably be best off using the existing 1.13 version of the Mod. It is also compatible with SoZ, though you do not need SoZ installed for this to work. (note: contains verified bugs, fixing them is a good way to learn mechanics of recipes)
MOTB level adjustment remover - lukev001
This is the 2da file that removes the ecl of all races, the hagspawn and half celestial to. I know it will not be usefull for everyone but some people don't know how to do this.
cdaulepp's random loot generator version 2.0 BETA - cdaulepp
(the name says it all)

I'll add a few I haven't seen mentioned. I find almost all the default heads pretty sketch and a lot of the armor is boring/ugly colours/etc.. Homely, even. These help fix that.

EDIT: Dangit, I started this compilation last night. Somebody beat me to the Charlie's stuff I see. Oh well. xD;;

Character Customization Essentials:
  • Oblivion to NWN2 Heads are okay, hairs are great.
  • Xaltar's Custom Head Pack for a couple of great-looking heads.
  • Aleanne's Clothing packs Second and fourth are my personal favorites. I combine them with:
  • Charlie's Item Modifier so I can keep the appearance I want, while adding stats of the armor I find. This tool is also handy if you find an ugly helm with great stats, for instance...I personally just add those stats to my armor and then ditch a helm all together. It only says for MotB but I have had no problems with SoZ, either.
  • This brings me to Charlie's Appearance Changer so you can alter the looks of your own/companions armor if you so choose. Also for MotB, but had no problems with SoZ. Another user made:
  • Charlie's Appearance Changer Expansion Pack which will let you use a ton of custom content (please note you do need to have installed the original appearance changer, and the mods listed -- it has instructions) in the appearance changer. It includes things like Aleanne's items...I still like to keep both due to circumstances like with the helm I mentioned earlier.
  • Be sure to use the Player Menu Pack included with all of Charlie's stuff if you plan on using multiples. It makes the menus all compatible. (No link, it's on all the other "Charlie's" pages.)
  • And finally, it's not a mod, but for anyone who feels like something's missing from their Tiefling toons: My Tiefling has a tail. Yours can too! gives step by step instructions on how to mod your player.ifo file to add a tail and colour it the way you like (match skintone, for instance).
Already Mentioned (but essential to me):

I find the following beneficial:

NWN2 Official Campaign:
NWN2 OC Makeover SoZ Edition - Adds SoZ Party Editor and many other features to the OC. Requires MotB and SoZ.

Mask of the Betrayer:
MotB Spirit Eater Autopause - Prevents the loss of spirit eater points when passively standing still. This prevents the loss of SE points when leveling up, reorganizing your inventory, and other meta-gaming activities.

Storm of Zehir:
SoZ Party max override - Removes the limit on the number of cohorts allowed in an SoZ party (actually increases the limit by 10)

SoZ Party Editor Menu option - Adds a menu option to access the Party Editor at any time when playing rather than having to go to an inn to add/remove player-created party members.

Mysteries of Westgate:
MoW Party Editor files - Adds a menu option to access the SoZ Party Editor while playing. Requires SoZ.

I wrote them and I use them. :)

in the spirit of KS above, though from a much smaller knoll in the grass, (that's knoll) .. here's my most recent submission to the Vault:

DISARM'd - a little chunk of code compiled into the default OnItemUnacquire script. It instantly informs the player he/she has been Disarmed in combat (in big bright red letters scrolling above the 'toon's head). Also has pre-compiled script for TonyK's AI v2.2.

& if you find the game too easy, don't forget the Personal Impossibility Adjustment, which tuffens up monsters as much or as little as you like.

I love 'em!

This list is great but the problem is I can only seem to get one mod to function at a Time is there anyway to have more than one dialog.tlk file or something...I'd love to be able to use all of the following vvv but its unlikely i'll find a premade compilation of them (at least not updated version

1. Kaedrin's PRC PAck (and other fixes it comes with)

2. Tony_K's AI Update

3. Some Auto-buff mod like Rod of Prep

4. Various spell,feat,etc. updates

5. Crafting Improvements ie. The CTT

6. A custom UI of some sort

7. Camera tweaks (oh please tell me something like this exists)

8. Extra Races (Like the Races of Faerun Pack)

9. Better control over companions..ability to MC..maybe even create your own

10. More Cosmetic Options

Note: All this stuff was mentioned in your list...but alas currently I only have Kaedrin's Pack and anything else I add just screws up the game (freezes when clicking on custom content) or it works because i overwrote the dialog.tlk but now Kaedrin's stuff doesn't work.

Look on the wiki page about the camera (I think it's here) - it's not 100% clear, but basically you can edit the ini file to set stuff that you can't set in the options page, letting you make the camera much less hyper-sensitive.

EDIT: Correcting link. The site doesn't understand non www links I guess...
