No Premiership games on free-to-air in Britain. Would have to go with the pay-to-view sort of deals like Sky or ESPN to see them. We do get the occasional Championship game though. Home international games are on free-to-air though, it's something the government stepped in for I think. Otherwise we'd lose all football to Sky and the likes. Good if you can afford it, not so good for the common person.
If I should ever go to America I'd bear that in mind. Sounds good to have the choice as well.
Prices vary from club to club, though I've ever only been to the one game myself; a friendly at Old Trafford. I would guess that ticket prices could cost about the price of a game for some clubs and matches; not sure how season tickets work though I should ask a friend of mine as he's attending the Norwich home games this season.
It has been competitive, though listening to the pundits it's due to an inability to defend. Quite frankly as a person who appreciates the game I couldn't give a flying monkeys as we get to see some cracking stuff as a result.
Not sure how much the foreign leagues are shown on the channels like SkySports and ESPN, though I would imagine a bit. Serie A used to be on free-to-air but viewing figures were really low.

We get Champions League games on free-to-air aswell. Sky are a rip-off, don't get me started on their tactics and prices. Then they have the cheek to put Redknapp junior on my screen every week.
I tried watching a game with American commentary once. I say tried...
I've only made it over to one game myself too. It was £75 for the whole package which included a tour of Old Trafford and an away game at Goodison Park which was unfortunately when Cantona was suspended. Price included a "hotel" aswell which was infact the P.E. hall of a school where we got to sleep for two nights.
I like the inability to defend, it makes me think I could play in the PL as an inability to defend is my trademark. Its an odd phenomenon though, even Man City seem to be trying to attack. Its strange and sudden, like a funny sounding fart.
Sky show alot of La Liga, ESPN show the Bundesliga and Serie A, I think they also show the Russian and Dutch leagues but I'm not sure. I know they used to. But then again they also used to show NHL and seem to have stopped. Serie A on channel 4 was great on a Sunday afternoon or Saturday morning, James Richardson was the best presenter on tv.

Ah yes...forgot the European games. On that note, we get more Europa League than Champions League. Still wondering if ole 'Arry will try and throw it to do better in the league.
Well...after the legendary interview with Huckerby I can only guess what commentary will be like.
You got to tour Old Trafford? Nice. When we went the option wasn't available apparently, and we were essentially kicked out of the ground as soon as the match finished. Disappointing end to a good game.
Ah...the hopes and dreams of a player. Has to be said that goalkeepers are definitely more exposed this season given the defending; we may find out who is really worth the money.
Twas a great time back when Serie A was on Channel 4. Thems were the days....
Just seen that Mancini is willing to offer Tevez a way out if Tevez apologizes. Given what Tevez has said earlier I get the feeling that that won't happen.... Mind you, where is he going to get that sort of wage? Will he swallow his pride and admit fault? The drama rumbles on....

Well he is basically playing his reserves in it already so I'd say the throwing has begun.
The commentary was horrendous. I wasn't even sure what they were on about, I think they might have been trying to sell me a new kitchen during the match.
Aye, we arrived the day before the match so got the tour then I think. It was around 15 years ago so my memory isn't the best. I just remember my cousin stealing some grass from Old Trafford and thinking he was some sort of master thief. We also got to meet a gang of vigilantes called the Guardian Angels in Bury and a hooker got on our bus and tried to acost a priest, dunno why we had a priest..... I vaguely recall some girl hitting me with a foghorn too...and me scoring a goal while wearing no shoes for some reason...thats all I have in my pit of broken memories.
Alot of defence's seem to be in flux this season. United and Arsenal are constantly having to change their back four with injuries and suspension. Chelsea haven't been the same since they sold Carvalho who was their best defender by a mile.
It was a grand time to be alive. I believe it was different teams every week too, unlike La Liga on sky when you know exactly who is going to be shown every week. Them were the days of Maldini, Battigol, Savicevic, Boban and Weah...
The best part of the new Tevez story is that he is now willing to consider another English team. Brilliant...Like he wasn't going to go anywhere that will pay him anyway.
The investigation against Terry is now a formal one by the Police. Sh*t just got real?
Watched a bit of the Arsenal match before Haven. That new striker they bought Park looks very very nervous and lacking in confidence.

You know its weird with Serie A. I don't think its as popular over here as the premiership or la liga, but for some reason it has always been my preffered league to follow. Couldn't tell you why though. I suspect a large part of it is due to the commentators who cover serie a, who are really good. When you see me managing fellas, don't be surprised if I choose to stay in serie a lol.
hmm, Old Trafford. Did it live up to its title as a dreamweaver?
Good ol' 'Arry and his side are in the europa league? You know, I would normally agree with just throwing the competition as well, but what if he used it to get the reserves some valuable experience? Maybe experiment with a formation, maybe see how different players work in different positions.
Terry is now getting investigated by the police....whaaaat? s#!t did just get real.

What's more interesting about memories is trying sort out whether they are related in the way we remember them to be.... The atmosphere sort of...echoes when the chanting goes. While it still sounds loud I get the feeling that the sound isn't as loud as one would expect it to be due to the sheer number of supporters in the ground. Could be due to the thought that some are just there to be entertained rather than actually support the team; though I like to think that it's because the sound disperses rather quickish so it seems quieter.
On the defensive side the injuries have taken their toll, and there has been a lot of them this season. The number of injuries don't usually pile up until the new year. Makes me think it was a busy summer for the clubs.
Yeah, that was the beauty of Serie A. It really did seem that any team could win it; truly unpredictable back then. It probably isn't as popular due to the Italian game being seen as rather reserved or defensive in nature. Certainly the league to watch back then when you want to see how to defend (also probably why Mourinho was able to beat Barcelona with Inter as Inter are in a league that typically has a reputation for defending); probably not the league you'd think of when you want to see goals. I do recall that 20+ goals in Serie A was (is?) a rarity due to the defending, and strikers are good if they get into the high teens....actually....given how some players are, that sentence could look dodgy. Hm......
Well...having read that 'Arry is having some sort of undisclosed operation he'll be missing the trip to the next Europa League match with Tottenham anyway. Er....couldn't help but think that he's taken missing a match of purpose to new heights. (Joking aside though hope it isn't anything too serious if genuine.)
Terry looks to be in trouble. Of course, innocent until proven guilty; but since formal proceedings are taking place that would suggest there's enough evidence to present a case for the prosecution, surely?

From watching on TV I don't really expect it to be that loud, alot of the fans really are the prawn sandwich brigade. Its pretty awesome while empty and silent though. Goodison Park was very loud from what I remember. We were up in one of the top tier stands and it slopes forward, every time you stood up you got the impression you were going to fall forward. The girl next to me lost her balance twice and stumbled forward while standing to cheer.
United may have shut the door with Vidic coming back, I'd expect him and Evans to be given a run at centreback now with Smalling out for a month. Jones at RB until Raphael comes back, though he may be back tonight I hear. Although Vidic is suspended tonight and Ferdinand is back in. I like that Ferdinand has been told he is past it, I've always hated him even more so since the whole contract thing.
It always seemed like any team could win it but I think it always ended up being Juve or AC Milan. There was some great attacking players in Italy for all the defensive play. Mourinho gets way too much credit for beating Barca, all he really did was park the bus and hope for the best. Don't forget Barca had a last minute goal in the second leg ruled out for no real reason. I thought Arsenal were much more impressive until the ref intervened.
'Arry is having the media's collective tongues surgically removed from his arse. It could just be him not only refusing to send his best players but also himself along.
Thats what I thought it meant too. Terry will most likely get away with it as per usual though.
I love when journalists chase players asking them the same question over and over again no matter if the players answer them or not. It makes them look sort of like crazed zombies.

Yeah, the prawn sandwich brigade is likely to be the real reason. And in that it is the expectation to be entertained rather than support the team. I can sort of understand that, but it feels like the wrong attitude if you are fortunate enough to be able to afford such luxuries.
That would probably be the most likely scenario with the back four. Ferdinand is said to have lost a yard of pace so to speak, in which case such a player would have to rely on their positional sense to defend...which sort of left him against Man City as well...with any luck he'll rediscover it when next called upon.
I still remember fondly when Roma won Serie A, and fans mobbing Totti who ended up either without his shorts or top.... Back then, Inter was the poor relation to the historically dominant Milan. I miss footy on the telly.....
Likely to be true. Still think Wenger got it right against Barcelona. If there's a game to look at at how to beat them that would be it. And with style as well rather than parking a bus or two...
Hm....a lot of tongues.... Turns out it's a minor heart op though. Does this mean his time is now limited?
Yeah, we'll have to wait to see the outcome of that. A lot seems to rest on what A. Ferdinand's statement was. It is possible that it will be a no verdict sort of thing rather than actual proof of guilt or innocence.
The silly things they ask. Read the article on F365 about silly questions, but the bit about quantifying disappointment made me chuckle that did.

I was thinking 'Druss would be chuffed to see this' when I read...well...this.
Looks like the Manchester clubs did the job in Europe today after a seemingly lacklustre performance by the London clubs yesterday.
Also interesting that Blackburn won't allow banners before or during the game, but will allow them afterwards. Can't help but think the move won't actually quell anything much less those who aren't convinced of Kean. (I'm not convinced of his abilities but then I'm not a Blackburn fan.)

Bollocks! I was in the bar with the git and left before I saw the scores to get my bus home as I didn't want to be stranded. Then some girl in the depot tells me there is now a 9.30pm bus too, double rage. I even had to endure 6-1 abuse and ridiculous claims that the Championship is harder than the PL. This is not my day.
I thought it had gone off channel 4 by then. Maybe I'm showing my age by remembering years before that with Baggio and the like. Inter only became a big team when the other big teams were docked points or relegated for match fixing. Can't recall how Roma fit into that equation.
I think a few managers have had heart operations. I think Sir Alex had one and I'm almost sure that Big Sam had his replaced with a hamster in a wheel.
Aye most likely. I just can't see the FA letting the England captain get charged with racism, strings will be pulled.
Ha aye. One of the reasons football management is meant for a particular kind of person. A person able to accept stupid questions.
Is there much point in a post match protest? I suppose if its an empty stadium it will highligh how many or how few are protesting. Numbers could go either way depending on the result.

Well...you could always mock your mate later. Mockery is never too late. So if 'today' isn't your day, make another day to be your day.
Hm...I remember it was the first Serie A title Roma managed win in a long time, or maybe it's just my hazy memory at work again; though I do distinctly remember the aftermath being shown of TV though. I'm just assuming it was still the Channel 4 broadcasts.
One of the most high profile managers was perhaps Houllier; not that he was doing brilliantly at Aston Villa. I do recall that quite a few were shocked he took on the job given the nature of his health which started when he was at Liverpool if I'm not mistaken. Hm...hamster in a wheel; reminds me of a certain Arnold Rimmer.
That is a distinct possibility. Also...I wonder how long proceedings will be. The justice system, such that it is, tends to be a lot quicker with high profile cases than ones involving your average person. String pulling would be understandable, but in such a context it would worry me if he was let off when there is evidence without any string pulling going on. That prospect is...dangerous.
Indeed. And journalists have no originality either.
I think Bob has been pointing out, or believing, that it is only the minority of fans who are grumbling. A post match protest would give him a better idea of whether that is actually correct. If he is...that's a very vocal minority. If it isn't then it will be quite embarrassing for him and Venky's.

I'll go burn a big 5-0 on his lawn.
Hhmmm I can't remember that time period.
Aye I think Houlier ended up in hospital while at Liverpool was it during a game or something? Kanu had a hole in his heart and is still playing today if I remember right.
Terry is in the England squad again. It remains a mystery to me, he isn't that good of a player and how someone like him can be described as a great leader is beyond me.
I expect we won't find out until probably Sunday on SSN if the protest was a big one or not.

That's the spirit!
Tis a long time ago and I wouldn't be surprised if my memory is playing tricks on me. I also remember thinking "Boy, Roma's shirts are awfully tight". Actually, I think quite a few clubs' shirts were tight in Serie A I think. I always thought it was to make spotting shirt pulling easier...
There's a higher profile case now I think about it. Who died on international duty? I think they died of a heart condition on the pitch, though the name escapes me. Pretty sure they played or were playing for a Premier League club at the time as well.
The FA is taking a innocent until proven guilty stance which is understandable, so his captaincy isn't under threat yet. Though whether he's good enough to play...ah...that's a different matter. Keep hearing Hanson say that Terry is past his prime and he needs a good defensive partner now whereas he could have played with anyone five years ago. (Can't help but think of Triple H and broomstick on that. Like him or hate him that was pretty amusing.)
Indeed. The club will see whether the protests have any meat to them. *Quietly seeks the exit*

Yeah the tight shirt phenomenon caught me a bit by surprise too. More aero-dynamic? Its probably something like they just thought they looked better or something though.
I was trying to remember that too. Was it a player who had played in the PL but left? Marc Vivian Foe? I'm not sure, I know something happened to him but I'm not sure if it was death.
I don't think Terry could have played with anyone 5 years ago, if I'm not mistaken he only became "the worlds best centreback in the history of ever" when Carvalho arrived and became "past it" when Carvalho left. But that could just be my biased memory. I think the broomstick incident was the last time I watched WWE, mostly in fear that they would actually go through with it. I couldn't shake the question of why am I watching someone that always relies on other people to sell his matches when CM Punk is there being under used again? They let HHH hijack all Punks momentum again and went right back to the same old crap. I kind of gave up on it.
Ha meat. Actually with the way Chelsea are going the match could be a massive game for both managers, I wouldn't be too surprised to see AVB being the first manager sacked, he seems very close to cracking under pressure if you listen to his press conferences. You could say the steaks are very high. I'll get me coat.
SSN did a thing this morning where they picked Sir Alex's all time best team at United. So I thought I'd pick my own one:
Schmeichel
G. Neville
Stam
Vidic
Evra
Kanchelskis
Keane
Scholes
Giggs
Cantona
Van Nistlerooy
Subs: Van Der Sar, Pallister, Irwin, Robson, Valencia, Solskjaer, Hughes.
I'd really like to have squeezed in Bruce, Johnsen, O'Shea, Yorke and Forlan. I left players like Rooney, Ronaldo and Beckham out because I simply can't stand them or find them overrated to a ridiculous degree.

Likelihood is a aerodynamic thing, or I would guess that's what the manufacturers will tell the clubs. Come to think of it...it's probably a cost cutting exercise to ensure profit. That or there are a lot more women watching the game in Italy....
That's it. Marc Vivian Foe. Quick wiki...died playing for Cameroon against Colombia essentially; collapsed during the match. Looks like his last club was Man City as well; I think he was on loan there at the time.
Interesting coincidence. Mind you, I am of the mind that a good defence is due to a good partnership between the players. Remove one of them then the defence is likely to suffer.
True on the Triple H and CM Punk storyline as well. Still found the line amusing, but I agree that it's disappointing to see the momentum Punk got sort of fizzle out. Still hope they do the right thing on that....
Indeed. Will have to see whether Bob will be getting the chop if Chelsea make mincemeat of Blackburn.
That's a good selection, and that midfield actually played together too; probably a rarity in such team choices as well. If it was a squad you were choosing though, you'll be able to get most (all) of the others in as well.
With Rooney and Beckham there will always be the English premium, so Ronaldo is exempt from that (thus a bit more deserving of the plaudits). Did you see Beckham suggesting that he'll know when to call it a day? Hm....feel the scepticism in the air....
Oh...and the FA are going to appeal against Rooney's red? Seems a bit daft. Also...not a good evaluation of the abilities of the other players. I predict this will do wonders for morale.

Mmmm women...
I think United were going to sign Foe at one point but he broke his leg and ended up at West Ham instead. I'm almost sure there was another player that died on the pitch too.
United kept their run of clean sheets a couple of seasons ago with chopping and changing defenders although I don't think it was that extreme. I remember Evans playing a few of those games.
I'd say the whole Punk thing is dead and buried now. I don't think Vince likes Punk and won't let him be the main man.
Bob could be dead meat if they don't get a result.
I'm not sure if that midfield did play together, Kanchelskis may well have been gone by the time Scholes came through but I'm not sure. Twas a long time ago.
Aye Beckham will know when to call it a day when theres no one willing to pay him.
Seems a bit late aswell as daft. Aren't the FA risking a further ban? Apparently theres uproar because England aren't allowed to wear the poppy against Spain. Why the uproar? Its in the bloody rules. Ooohhh FIFA hates them because they won't let them break the rules.
Has Allardyce been sacked? I heard something on the radio that made it sound like he has but I'm not sure.
Rooney seems to be in midfield today again. Not sure what to make of that.

Much as I think Wikipedia can be dodgy, this seems to be a pretty long list on players who died while playing. Foe died in 2003, and seems a quite a few after him had heart problems as well. Makes me wonder how they managed to play as long as they did without realising they had a problem. Given that players who move clubs have to have a medical before the transfer you'd have thought some of these health problems would have been picked up.
That was probably when Evans was playing really well too. Usually the team copes, but this season they just seem a bit shakier. Same goes for most teams this season though.
Yeah, which is a shame. Listened to one podcast that suggests that Vince McMahon only likes guys he brings through, and CM Punk is pretty much self-made by comparison. If they were motivated by money they'd have seen that Punk would have been a money spinner at that point in time (still think they brought him back too early though), and have built on that. Shame they won't.
Looks like Bob lost; still haven't heard the reaction yet though. However, it looks like he's well and truly stuffed at this rate. In time for Christmas as well it would seem.
Hm...looks like it's a close thing. Kanchelskis was still there when Scholes came through, seems to have left the season afterwards. So it's touch and go as to whether they played together. Also...I'm using Wikipedia way too much...
But we know there will always be a club who is willing to do business though...at least Beckham is more likeable than Tevez....
Haven't seen mention of Alladyce being sacked. Did see that some fans are booing though.
At least they beat Sunderland (we lost to Villa, phooey). Tight game by the sounds of things, winning due to a Wes Brown own goal. I can almost hear 'conspiracy' being shouted somewhere....

Daniel Jarque was the one I was thinking of. I remember Matsuda from PES in the master league when you could sign Japanese and Korean players for like 200 points each. Him, Park, Nakamura and Nakata were all very good investments. From death to PES... The heart problems are the most surprising ones.
Evans was only really bad for the first 2/3's of last season. Although I do conced the point about partnerships.
I thought it was common knowledge that Vince only likes people that he brought through. Theres a reason almost everyone they sign from other promotions are forced to change their name so they can be a WWE brand. Look at Daniel Bryan, Vince has done everything in his power to bury him. Theres an air of George Lucas crazy about him.
Blackburn were actually very unlucky to lose judging by the highlights. Chelsea weren't counting their chickens before they hatched and clung on for a win. Torres seemed a bit awful again.
I'm not sure how much Kanchelskis played towards the end, I think Scholes may even have come through on the wing but memory is hazy. I do recall a few occassions he was wide right and out of position. But there is a good chance they all played together at some point.
Always a team in need of headlines...
What I heard was mention of Allardyce talking about his former players stabbing him in the back, it seemed to be talking about West Ham players but maybe I picked it up wrong.
I enjoyed the highlights of the Norwich game, good freekick and some good crosses. My kind of entertainment. I thought Ryan Taylors goal for Newcastle was a contender for goal of the season. What a strike.
Match of the Day's new studio frightens me. I fear change....and pie charts. Mark Lawrenson looks like a hobo too. Liverpool relegated to being shown last? Suarez caught diving again despite commentator refusing to call it that? Scousers will be making a video and writing letters as we speak.

It is surprising considering the medicals; and they don't seem to have become more rigorous either in that particular respect. Only makes me think that there will be more deaths due to what I would now consider to be an oversight.
True. I didn't discover that little tidbit about Vince until a few weeks ago while YouTubing. I can sort of see why, but it doesn't necessarily make great business sense. They could have, and I think it's what some fans were anticipating, retreading the Attitude era with another Corporation storyline with Punk in that rebellious Stone Cold role. Would have worked wonders, but...well...we know what they done after that. They should probably have let the Nexus have a longer run as well and built up the Corporation thing from there in my opinion. Anyway...back to the footy.
Blackburn have been unlucky of late, and they haven't really played bad. I admit that they should have won against Norwich last week, but one has to wonder how long this bad luck will continue because eventually someone is going to get fed up. And I though Torres was starting to find his feet again. Maybe London life doesn't suit him or something, the guy needs an excuse of sorts.
The wiki mentioned that Kanchelskis was eventually replaced by Beckham; though how long that process took is up for grabs. Still...would be nice to think they played together; and it's certainly feasible given their respective ages.
Eight teams apparently from what I saw....
Ah...right. Starting to think that maybe he was referring to what happened at Blackburn. Last I remember he mentioned Blackburn he mentioned something was going on behind his back, I just assumed it's Bob; but perhaps he lost the dressing room to an extent as well which led to his eventual sacking. In terms of results I just can't see why he was sacked.
I did sort of think it was strange with the new studio, and then I recalled the news that the BBC were moving production to Manchester a while back. Looks like it's finally happened then. Not sure about it myself, it looks...odd. Probably get used to it, but it's all chairs now instead of a cosy look. Has a sterile look to it. And the Football League show still seems to be filmed in a basement.... I don't mind the graphics as such, I just don't like them squishing the picture to accommodate them.
And yes, I was rather amused with Liverpool's demotion to being on last on MOTD. Aston Villa were fourth (with Norwich). Come to think of it, I do like that they flash up the order the matches will be shown in. At least I know how long I have to stay awake for. Also...did I read that Reina thinks they can win the league soon? On current form....I don't need to finish that I think.

Maybe after the first medical when they arrive they stop getting medicals? Though I find that hard to believe. Its a strange one though I don't know much about heart problems, I'm not a doctor, I just occassionally tell women that I am.
Its the same with the womens division, Gail Kim got buried because she was more known for TNA than WWE. That and she could wrestle therefore making the rest of the division look like an even bigger joke.
Torres was back on form, he just seemed to have a bit of a nightmare yesterday. The Bob situation is a confusing one, they have been unlucky but he also inspires zero confidence.
I found the abundance of pie charts disconcerting. Is the football league show still in the same basement or a new one?
I read the Reina headline and laughed. They never stop do they?
A few excellent saves from what I saw of todays games, I vaguely recall some from yesterday and last weekend too. With all the shoddy defending going on keepers are getting to shine.

Wouldn't be too surprised. Only real exception is when they sign a new contract. We know for sure they undertake one when they move clubs, though I think there have been the odd occasional waiver on that (Aquilani and Carrol perhaps for Liverpool; both were still injured when they moved). Well...you don't have to be a medical doctor....
True. Gail Kim can put on some decent matches; and quite frankly they didn't really have anyone who could work with her. I think some wrestlers get signed back from TNA out of spite. If Christian wasn't that tight with Edge I think he'd be suffering a lot more; that he gets a fair bit of time is probably remarkable though I guess he had enough of a grounding in WWE before going to TNA. If Awesome Kong wasn't pregnant who knows what they would have done.
Ah...right. Have to admit I couldn't stay awake for that one; will catch tonight's MOTD2 for the rest of the stuff I missed.
From the ad it looked like the same basement.
No, they don't. It's good for the chuckles at least. Interesting that it's coming from the club itself as it were rather than the fans.
Yep! Goalkeepers this season have to really earn their keep. I think there was that double save against Man Utd yesterday which was really impressive too. Mind you, double saves are always impressive. Speaking of which, Cech seems to get a few injuries.

Considering Liverpool, after spending 30 mil for Caroll straight from the Torres sale in January and him being injured kinda suggests they'd made their mind up over him without really thinking about other potential options, like Dalglish just bought him out of impulse.
Yeah Vince is only really keen on guys that have only really been in WWE and it's development promotions. Christian has done pretty well since coming back and he had to slum it in 'ECW' and ended up making it watchable with his matches with low-carders like Tommy Dreamer and Zack Ryder, now he's had a run with the big gold belt this year and is getting to shine further in Edge's absence. Women's division, what division...?
I think if Torres is partnered with guys like Mata and Ramires more, he's probably play a lot better than he is right now. But to be honest there's quite a few natural scorers who just aren't quite hitting it this season.
Gonna be a while to get used to the new MOTD studio, having heard non-stop about Manchester and Salford getting new TV studios for the last 4 years (alas I live there) I'm actually surprised that it's come to fruition. I agree that the old set looked 'cosier' and maybe easier on the eyes (and brain; match stats return).
This time last year Reina was talking about wanting to leave the club for a team that's capable of winning trophies and getting Champions League action. That's quite the 180 you've made there Pepe. Found that they've been quite abysmal lately against a Swansea and Norwich side who have been looking decent in promotion season with their draws.
Aye I think on today's games alone it shows some of the goalkeeping saves that have been happening frequently all because defenders suddenly don't know how to clear the ball and maintain their back lines. Gotta admit seeing the Wes Brown own goal for us did make me chuckle, I'm sure Fergie would have mused over it too.

Does seem impulsive now that you mention it. Carroll had a thigh injury of some sort at the time I think. Maybe it was Dalglish's way of testing the new owner's intent and where he stood with regards to spending power. And boy, did he miss a cracking chance....
I would just like to add that there are no such things as 'women' in the WWE; they have these things called 'Divas'. *Cough*
Torres made mention of wanting to play with Mata earlier in the season. I think he was suggesting he was starved of service, hence his inability to score goals. Though there aren't many excuses when you miss absolute sitters though....
I know the move is to do with budgets and such, but I just can't help but think...you better have some spare chairs somewhere if you have an extra guest, otherwise they'll have to sit on the floor. As for the match stats...is just me or were they missing from MOTD2?
Maybe Reina is also spurred on by the return of Captain Fantastic (though currently absent due to injury). Bringing up Liverpool...reading the comments section of the sports sites are always funny with cries of "it'll be our year soon!" and related thoughts. A nice way to generate confidence in the squad to be fair, but the amusing ones are where there's a seemingly absent logic to it. "Our players will improve in a season and then we'll win it!" or something similar. Er....so...other teams are just going to stagnate then? On that note I wish to state that this is our year. *Cough*
Al-Habsi made some cracking saves. Really had to earn his keep against Wolves; shame his defenders couldn't have helped out more. Nice to see shoddy defending give us some cracking action in terms of goals and saves.

It was crazy impulsive an injured player who had less than half a decent season at the highest level? I'm trying to get a link to the F365 mailbox but its not loading for some reason. There was Liverpool fan calling for Dalglish's head because he has been spending fortunes on mediocre players, it amused me.
Ha Diva's. Whats their tagline? Sexy, smart and powerful? Two of those are debatable, the other I've seen no evidence of. It amuses me how all their characters are basically schoolgirls and the biggest rivalries come from one calling another one fat or a sl*t. The Piggy James incident springs to mind.
Indeed, I think being in and out of the team isn't helping Torres either. I saw City and Chelsea linked with that Erikson kid thats playing for Ajax today, I'd think they both already have enough players in that position.
I didn't see MOTD2 but your other point has me thinking of them panning across and just the top of Lee Dixons head coming into view as he speaks from his position sat on the floor.
I think its more Liverpool fans are the ones interviewing the players and asking "When will it be our year? Is it our year this year?" to which they have to just answer "Um yeah, it could be." I enjoy reading the delirious leaps of logic and convincing themselves of things like Carragher is a great defender. Mind you I've convinced myself that Jonny Evans will be a great defender. My mate had a hilarious run in with him in a Belfast nightclub a few years ago that still makes me chuckle.
Thingy's double save against United was pretty good too. The more SSN show Taylor and Pilkington's goals from the weekend the more I like them.
Now Anton Ferdinand has had death threats so bad that the club couldn't even show them to him. Reminds of when Anders Frisk had to retire because of Jose Mourinho lying about him and then Chelsea fans sending him death threats.

I read that in the mailbox. Twas an amusing letter. In terms of spending money...well...that's just continuing the trend started by Benitez as far as I'm concerned.
I think that's the tagline. Sexy is subjective, smart is certainly debatable, and power...well...there's really only one who fits that and they're pregnant (maybe Beth Phoenix at a push but haven't seen much of her work). It's so badly done it would be better if they didn't bother.
Good point. Players require that run in the team to establish themselves to find form as much as anything. There aren't many players who can do the supersub role, if such a role actually exists.
Well, that's if Lee Dixon has to give up his seat for the guest. Would also anticipate that should that ever happen, he would have to put his hand up and then Colin Murray has to give permission for him to speak as well.
In that case I would expect fanzines to be full of 'this is our year' type articles. The leaps in logic are sometimes...disturbing. Being blinded by...faith? belief? like that is rather...limiting. Though I have heard that some people, no matter how 'intelligent' they may be, can be blind to certain things.
How old is Evans now? I still think young but not sure of his age. If he is still young then he still has every chance to develop. Carragher however is at the age where you can only hope that he doesn't deteriorate rather than improve.
Westwood I think his name is. I think we'll become more knowledgeable with regards to the goalkeepers' names this season. That was a good save by him though. I do like Ryan Taylor's goal. Didn't he score one earlier in the season? Looks like he might get a few in this season. Certainly well taken goals as well.
Newcastle have had a good run of games this season so far. Does nothing to alleviate fans' grievances with Ashley though. It's an interesting state of affairs there I think considering. And to be fair to Pardew, his results have so far justified Ashley's decision to replace Hughton as good a job as he was doing. Makes better sense than Venky's replacing Alladyce with Bob in terms of results anyway. By the way, were there any long range stadium shots of the post-match protests? There was a clip on MOTD2 but those were close-ups.
Yeah, I was thinking about the Frisk incident as well. No coincidence that it involves Chelsea again. Something rather dodgy there. While Mourinho could be said to have manipulated fans' feelings about Frisk, there is no comparison in the current case.
At the time of writing F365 isn't loading for me either.
