Theres one with a pile of camera's on the goal line and a watch with a tv screen that the ref can get goal line angles on. It all seems very futuristic.

Ha. Where did Babel go? Hamburg? There was that fella Pacheco too, supposed to be one of the brightest stars in Europe(apparently), not playing him and then subsequently playing him and him being a bit sh*t was one of the sticks used to beat Hodgson. Then Kenny loaned him to Norwich and where is he now? Obviously its still all Hodgsons fault.

The Iron Gerbil has had it easy his whole career...

I assumed it would come down to that choice, no one else will offer the money or PR chances.

Maybe after Christmas when theres less need for a butcher he will be let go. I always assumed a strongly worded letter just had random use of the word "must" in huge capital letters.

I didn't actually see the Balotelli sending off(not doing a Wenger I was eating at the time, an excuse he should use actually) but I hear there was a massive overreaction by Liverpool players, which to be honest was going on all game. Suarez went in on Kompany studs up then went down holding his ankle, like he did every time anyone came near him. What does Adam have to do to get booked? He was caught diving AGAIN, the ref looking right at it and he let Man City play on but never went back to book Adam, he also threw the ball away at a City throw in which is a bookable offence isn't it?

I didn't even see the Norwich result so I assumed they were playing tonight. Oops.

How do you psychologically test a known liar and will Joorabchian be answering the questions for him?

Papers here are claiming Rooney is in for a ban after "kicking" Colocini when infact he just swung for the ball and Colocini got there first. As much as I hate the guy I don'tthink he did anything wrong in that instance.

Oo...very sci-fi....it probably won't work properly when a leaf goes past or something.

Hm...forgotten where he went. Once players are out of the Prem it becomes a bit of a mystery to me. Why would anyone want to leave the best league in the world? *Ahem*

I suppose Da Iron Gerbil has at that, and left a string of struggling clubs in his wake. Though the Portsmouth situation really does take the biscuit though.

Agreed. Unless another club need the publicity.

Hm...the timing would make sense, but why on earth give him a revised contract? Heard some people suggest that Venky's want to drive the club to the ground. Makes me wonder.

There was a massive reaction by Liverpool's players for Balotelli's second offence. It was likely that he may have been booked anyway as he was leaning in with his arm, but it was a very normal thing; nothing malicious about it. The first offence was just daft as he just pulled them down for no real reason. The second...soft I think. Liverpool getting decisions going their way....hm....conspiracy....

Tucked away last on MOTD which was predictable I suppose. Haven't seen it for a few weeks (far too knackered at that time of day) and....well...it's changed back to something like normal now. Gone are the pie charts and most of the flashy effects.

Joorabchian will probably pass Tevez the answers on a piece of paper when the invigilator isn't looking....

Be harsh to ban him for that. Coloccini was just quicker getting the ball away. They shook hands (that's the sort of thing Blatter wants) and they carried on. Mind you, Ben Arfa seemed to be pretty touchy about it at the time. And can Rooney even be banned now? It's not as if the ref didn't see it, and that seems to be the FA stance here. The FA can only give out sanctions if the ref didn't know about the incident, though it might be different in France for example.

It probably won't stop one team arguing even when the ref has evidence. I think a rule should be brought in that if you claim a freekick or throw in or anything that clearly isn't yours to claim its an automatic booking.

Who knows? Crazy foreigners, the daily mail will sort them out.

Be hilarious if he gets jailed for the whole tax fraud thing, "Iron Gerbil gets caged!".

Willing to bet Beckham makes the olympics squad purely for publicity. Which is possibly part of the reason the other 3 nations want no part of it. To be honest though I've never met anyone who cares at all about about the olympics in any capacity, football or otherwise.

On Kean after reading one of the comments pages on Football365 I was lead to this...http://en.wikipedia....football_agent) Iiiiiiiiiiinteresting...it also seems vaguely familiar, maybe it was brought up before? Whats the reason for wanting to run the club into the ground? Did they give any? I was walking past the meat counter in Sainsbury's earlier and found myself with an overwhelming urge to boo and demand the butcher be fired. Kean has said he will meat with the fans who want him out, he may have meant meet.

Just saw the Balotelli thing, to me that was never a booking. He was just using his arm to jump, its impossible to jump properly without using your arms unless your some sort of salmon. Wonder if Dalglish still feels refs are being unfair to poor precious Liverpool? He is still b*tching about 2 games in 48 hours and they even tried to get the matches changed at short notice, nice thought for their fans there. No one else moaned this much about it. No faith in the big squad he invested in it seems.

Ah I missed the end, for some reason I thought the Arsenal match was the last match and I'd already seen that so I turned it over. Your right I didn't notice a single pie chart, was the pie chart man off at the weekend?

Norwich seem to be quietly gathering points to stand them in good stead for the second half of the season, if clubs around them don't go transfer mad and strengthen it seems they have a very good chance of staying up.

Just read that AC Milan only want Tevez on loan and only want him because Cassano had heart problems and needed an operation. Be quite the interesting dynamic between him, Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Cassano. Also replacing a player with heart problems with one with brain problems?

Apparently theres some sort of twitter outrage about the whole Rooney thing but it is Rooney so theres probably just an agenda there, it seemed a nothing incident to me. Suarez kick on Dawson last season was far worse and he got no punishment.

Seems Pogba is starting for United against Palace which should be interesting.

Bloody hell. We don't get much news on the Dutch league here, I don't think they even show it now but I'm not sure. But I did hear about the board quitting in an argument with Cruyff. Isn't Edgar Davids known for being a tad mental? I heard quotes from Van Gaal blaming Eriksson and Capello for his inability to land an international management job for some reason. Can't Ajax just fire Cruyff? Can't they vote against him? It seems like a mental situation.

Ajax can't just fire Cruyff since he is the Lengendary Number Fourteen (after hearing that 10 times in one day it gets really annoying..) and he is the hero of Ajax so straigt out firing him would probably have caused an even greater chaos among the supporters and they would have needed support by the members council (I have no idea if this is the correct english term..) which they would never have gotten. (When they brought in Van Gaal they didn't tell this council because they probably wouldn't have agreed but since they didn't officially appoint him as the replacement of Cruyff they technically didn't need to ask).

And now to continue the soap:
Apperently things weren't so friendly during the meetings of the board of directors. Cruyff would have said that the only reason that Davids was on the board was because he's black (even though Cruyff himself wanted him there in the first place during his takeover earlier this year). Cruyff denies this ofcourse and they both seem to think that it wasn't a big deal but Davids is still waiting for an apology that Cruyff won't give.

Meanwhile Tschue La Ling, a friend of Cruyff, someone that he put forward for the position of Van Gaal and owner of AC Trenchin reported Ten Have (one of the members of the board that appointed Van Gaal) to the police because of slander. Supposedly Ten Have said as a reason of the rejection of Ling that they could not trust a owned of a club in the Slovakia league because it is littered with bribing scandals and half-legal business.

Next to that, Cruyff and co are taking legal steps to reverse the actions of the other board members and so trying to make the appointment of Van Gaal illegal because it goes against all policy in Ajax, since Cruyff says he had no idea that the board appointed Van Gaal, and the board insist that they tried to call him buy couln't reach him (which isn't that farfetched since Cruyff doens't own a mobile phone)
Van Gaal meanwhile is talking to Bayern to break open his contract (he is still till 1 juli 2012 payed by them) so that he can start at Ajax as soon as possible.

As we speak the member council has a meeting to determine the future of Ajax, but same as the board, they are very divided so it isn't a clear win for either Cruyff (which will mean that Van Gaal and the other board members , among others, Ten Have, will be fired) or Ten Have which will mean that Cruyff will have to back down, which, in contrast to his previous record, he says he won't do or has to accept that he will work under Van Gaal.

So the soap continues...

That saga at Ajax puts everything here in Britain to shame, Kimo. And we thought Newcastle was a bit of a soap opera. What else is lacking from this little saga? Actually, given all the kerfuffles there jit seems like an achievement that Ajax are in fourth.

Here I was thinking of a challenge system like they have in tennis. Automatic bookings sound good; can't actually see refs being bothered though.

True. Forgot about the Daily Mail. More potent when rolled up I hear.

Forgot the Iron Gerbil has been under investigation for tax fraud (I keep forgetting stuff of late). I think I read that the current owners of Portsmouth have a warrant on them, and...well....the Iron Gerbil has been having those sort of tax issues for...oooo....quite a while now.

I think Beckham being in the Olympic team is shoe-in. I really can't see the FA not putting pressure on making that the case.

Very interesting. I don't recall anything like that coming up though; however, the pattern of influence and other things there are...hm....peculiar to say the least. Running the club to the ground: I think they were thinking of Venky's as a certain business model. I suspect they had in mind something like asset stripping and take away the valuable assets of the club then walking away. Next time you come across the butcher's take along a sign with you for added emphasis on how bad the butcher is doing.

It was a nothing thing, though I suspect that the ref may have been influenced by Skrtel's reaction (ignoring the other Liverpool players' protest) and think that it was deliberate or something. Given Liverpool's financial status now, odd how decisions have started to fall for them once again as in days of old......conspiracy.....

I think Bob hasn't been able to supply the pie chart man with any meat of late, so the pie charts have been absent on MOTD. That's my explanation and I think I'll stick with it. At least the picture no longer looks wonky when they try to squeeze everything. Haven't seen it for a few weeks but...why is everyone on there growing a beard? They all auditioning for Santa or something?

Quietly chuffed with Norwich's progress. Definitely have to win against teams in the bottom third of the table, and have a good crack at the other promoted teams. Will have to await the January transfer window to see what Lambert has in store; I think he mentioned that he does intend to strengthen the squad.

Only a loan. I can't really see Man City accepting for some reason as they mentioned wanting to sell him and only for the right price. At least a player with a heart condition has a better chance of being cured of the problem.

Twitter outrage? Sort of glad I know nothing about that for some reason.

Hm...indeed. Gives them a chance to have a go.

Ajax are like Newcastle on steroids. Is a members council like a fans group who are given a voice on club matters or am I confusing myself?

F365 seem to be starting some sort of campaign about the calling for freekicks and bookings, they were going on about it after the Steven Taylor incident earlier in the season when he started claiming an elbow on Joey Barton that he couldn't even see. They were on about it again with Charlie Adam. Rooney does my head in with it too, he will be stuck in the middle of every incident no matter how far away he was.

Even better if you roll it up and hide a stick inside it. I found that out the hard way...

I heard that too and today they have gone back into administration, so Portsmouth could end up being docked points again if they don't find some cash. I think the fans should be collectively looking to sue 'Arry and Milan Mandaric for starting this whole mess and leaving the club to deal with it. If they win, the proceeds could go towards the club.

I'd say Beckhams name is already on the team sheet for the Olympics.

Apparently Sir Alex has been making comments about the whole thing but no one picked him up on it, thats probably where I heard it before. It does seem remarkably dodgy. If they were going to do that then surely someone like Everton would have better assets than Blackburn? You notice the bit in that article about why Big Sam was sacked?

Indeed, Liverpool seem to be getting more decisions than any other team both big calls and small ones. I'd be embarrassed to go down like Skrtel did. Seems thats one of the big difference's between professional game and amature, if your a pro then its considered acceptable to be a big girls blouse.

I asked myself the same thing about the beards. Linneker looks sinister and Lawrenson looks like a hobo. Someone told me it was moustache month or something a few weeks ago I vaguely recall. Charities seem to spend an awful lot of time wanting to deal with my facial and body hair to raise money, wax my chest for cash, grow a moustache for cash. Naturally I refuse. If only I could harness this for my own gain...

What areas do you think Lambert needs to strengthen? Is De Laet still getting on? Given our leftback problems I kind of wish he was at United this season.

Why is Joorabchian allowed to talk to AC Milan if no deal has been agreed? How does that work? It never makes sense to me.

Seems theres a general outrage now. Mostly because its Rooney, if it was David Dunne no one would care.

Did anyone see the John Terry throw in incident? He obviously got himself deliberately booked, he went to take a throw in at the other teams corner flag, a centre back...it was the height of stupidity and so blatantly obvious. He wasn't even looking for someone to throw it to, he was clearly time wasting waiting on the yellow card, he even stared at the ref instead of looking around for an option to throw it to. He wanted his fifth yellow of the season so he could serve his suspension in the League Cup instead of the league. The FA need to come down hard on that, its blatant cheating. I believe Beckham, Sergio Ramos and I think Iker Cassillas(not sure on him) all got in trouble for the same thing in the past and theirs was less obvious. It was so stupid it was unreal what he did.

It seems to be more than that; they seem to have actual clout. I saw there is some news on the SkySports website which might clarify some things for us though.

I don't really see such a campaign achieving much to be honest. Seems like a waste of time to me.

That sounds...painful to say the least.

The Iron Gerbil and Mandaric certainly got the ball rolling at Portsmouth, but I would also add that the FA has to take some responsibility with their rather shoddy fit and proper persons test which has failed Portsmouth how many times now?

Wouldn't surprise me at all. I would assume that it was part of an agreement for his role in the Olympic bid and all that hullabaloo.

Yeah, the Big Sam thing. It seems like a way for the agent to essentially gain a lot of money from the club by positioning themselves (and hence their clients) in that position. Would have to keep an eye on all their transfers to see how many players who go there are one of his. I'm not sure what sort of agent is more damaging, this Anderson or the likes of Joorabchian and Pini Zahavi (I had to google the name....). Actually, Zahavi was probably the agent who had quite a big influence on Portsmouth decline as well.

You think they'll make big girl blouses part of the kit? Or do you think clubs will try and milk it as some sort of limited edition kit?

Maybe it's just as well I've been unable to stay awake at that time of night given the sinister looks of those on MOTD now... Sounds like you could branch out there, Druss.

Hm...attacking intent seems pretty solid I think, might need a signing up front to maybe provide some goals. Perhaps another defender to cover for injuries and occasionally shore up the defence. I don't think there's anything drastically wrong with the squad Lambert has put together as they've played well and haven't really been thrashed yet, which promoted teams would probably dread. That we get attacks even against higher placed teams suggest we might have enough to squeak by this season.

Would have thought it would have been essentially tapping up given how long Tevez still has on his contract. Isn't it only the last year of a contract that players can speak freely to other clubs? And Joorabchian isn't really Tevez's agent; he's his special friend. The partnership continueth.

I recall that Roy Keane got booked for time wasting in USA '94 for pulling his socks up before a throw in. At least I think it was Keane. If something so minor can be a yellow card offence in terms of time wasting...well...wonder what the FA will make of that Terry incident. But the FA throwing the book at John 'the Lionheart' Terry? He who represents all that is good an' propa? Surely a sign of the apocalypse if that happens.

Just read that Steve Bruce has been sacked.

It is a waste of time unless the tabloids or bigger media pick up on it, then it becomes something the FA will actually crack down on because we all know where the power lies.

Third time? Fourth time?

Ha I remember when they were calling Zahavi a super agent, he would rip open his shirt and have another shirt underneath like a true super agent in my mind. Apparently Blackburn have also signed that agent guy who's name escapes me's son. Hhmmm.

It would ruin footballers own images that they are hard men. Pro footballers these days are some of the biggest pansies I've ever seen, even when they fight its basically just slap fights most of the time.

Its been one of those seasons though where most teams are getting attacks with the shoddy defending. But given that, the lack of a thrashing so far is a fairly good sign, seems most sides have taken one somewhere or other.

I think its the last 6 months of their contract they can talk to people. Who is his agent then? Joorabchian should be banned from all football matters, simply because I dislike him.

I can't remember that far back. I haven't heard it mentioned since monday so maybe its been dropped because he isn't Rooney. I can't find any youtube footage of it.

Ambrose's goal for QPR last night was one of the best goals I've ever seen if anyone ever gets a chance to watch it I'd advise them to do so. What a strike.

Aye Bruce is gone it was only a matter of time really, looks like Martin O'Neil is the favourite to take over as he nearly always is. Although he was a boyhood Sunderland fan so maybe this time he will take over.

What in the hell is this list about? Its mental...http://www.football3...e-World-XI-List Its like 90% of the footballers in England just automatically said "Terry, Ferdinand, Cole, Lampard, Rooney" without even thinking about it. Then again Kaka is in there dunno if those votes came from Brazil or where.

And the excuse is in, Lucas is out for the season. Delight on Merseyside.

Looks like the original John Terry incident is getting serious now--the alleged racist remark directed at A. Ferdinand--as the police have sent the file to the CPS. It looks like they believe there is a case to be answered for there.

Did a little checking up on the Ajax situation that Kimo brought up. Cruyff is on an supervisory board along with four others; at least 'supervisory board' is what the SkySports website translates it as (and sometimes as 'advisory' as well). From what I can gather it seems there will be an eventual overhaul of both committees: board members will step down when suitable replacements are found; and the board want all supervisory board members to resign. As Kimo says the soap continues, but boy...we thought Newcastle was a soap. Maybe Pompey is one as well come to think of it.

Hm...two season ending injuries in recent days as well; Gera and Lucas.

League cup results were somewhat a surprise as well especially concerning Man Utd. Interesting also that Bob seemed to suggest that they threw the game, only to have to backtrack afterwards. I'm sure that fans initial reaction was to think that Bob was being somewhat offal. *Cough*

The members of the members board (the representation of the stockholders) wants/demanded that the entire supervisory board, including Cruyff, steps down and none of them will be able to hold a similar job in the future at Ajax. For the moment however they refure to step down

We just had the draw for the EC in Poland and Ukraine, The Netherlands are in the same poule as Germany, Portugal and Denmark, this is going to be interestingB)

Could have sworn I checked to see if there were any posts before I posted my last one....forums a little tardy in updating? Hm...

The Ajax soap has seemingly split the club in half if what I read is accurate. Cruyff seems to have the backing of the everyday staff (manager and coaches), and then there's the rest of the supervisory board. It will get ugly by the looks of things. I can see Cruyff's point about appointing someone younger to drive the club forward, though I anticipate that his mutual animosity with van Gaal doesn't help his cause (and has been lost in the whole kerfuffle).

So interested in the European Cup that I have neglected to check out who England is drawn with. I'll just filch it from the F365 site:

Group A: Poland, Greece, Russia, Czech Republic

Group B: Holland, Denmark, Germany, Portugal

Group C: Spain, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Croatia

Group D: Ukraine, Sweden, France, England

I would say that group B and D seem to be the most open myself; I can't see a clear winner in those groups unlike the other two.

Getting the image that Zahavi wears specs to conceal his super-agent status from the world....

The only real thrashing dished out this season in my memory is Man Utd thrashing Arsenal (the Man Utd game is somewhat skewed due to a sending off). Norwich has so far avoided a thrashing and lost admirably (if that makes any sense). Against Man City this weekend though I do anticipate a hammering; Man City seem to batter the smaller teams this season. This is a game to be feared I think.

I don't think Tevez has an agent because he has an adviser in Joorabchian, who is his special friend. Everything seems to go through him anyway if the media articles are to be believed, at least that's the implication of all the shenanigans.

Maybe they erased all existence of the Terry throw in incident then; a bit like Tevez contradicting his own later story and Arsenal beating Barcelona....

It would seem that Martin O'Neill is favourite to take over, though is his boyhood interest enough to make him take the job? I just feel that O'Neill seems to be the sort who also spends his way out of trouble. Question now is...who's next for the chop?

And to think that Lucas was regarded as a laughing stock a couple of seasons ago, and now...well...let's see how Dalglish's squad handle this set back.

EDIT: according to the BBC website O'Neill has agreed to be Sunderland's manager.

Just found this thread. Nice to see "football" means proper football and not yanks (sorry) running about in 2 tonnes of padding.

Anyway, i support Bradford (england) FC. Just thought i'd let you know.

Back to the euro's i think it is a tricky group for england.
Ukraine are hosts and will have backing from many fans (think South Africa in WC)
Apart from the last match, we never have done well against the Swedes plus and they some quite good players Kallstrom, Ibra, Larson, The Olssons.
And France have some top quality players.

So basically Liverpool fans? Be interesting to see how they cope without him as I don't think they have anyone other than Spearing to cover that position.

If you give Peter Cech enough time Mordin eventually he will be in 2 tonnes of padding. I'm waiting on the day he comes out in full SWAT gear.

Meh still feeling no excitement for the Euro's. I'd say England will probably make it out of that group. Interestingly according to Glen Hoddle during the draw its all about luck when the last ball is being drawn. I'm not sure what the rest of the draw was about, psychic powers?

Logic says Kean is next for the chop but I don't see it happening. I'd say maybe McCarthy. But then again...

O'Neill has indeed been confirmed as Sunderland manager.

Did Tevez ever come back or is he still on strike? I saw quotes yesterday claiming Juventus don't want anything to do with him but Corinthians still want to sign him.

Every group is tricky for England. Because England is like Russia - overrated team with high expectations.

PS. Do you think Ireland stand a chance against Spain and Italy?

Thats how we roll around these parts.

To be honest no, I can see Ireland boring one of the teams into a 0-0 draw and calling it a massive victory. But then I'm not exactly a big fan and I'm in Northern Ireland. All the people I've spoken to that really followed the team expect them to go out in the groups. They are hard to beat but don't offer alot of threat going forward from the games I've seen.

Too bad, I'm slightly rooting for Ireland myself, Robbie Keane fan since his early Tottenham days(and because of that I was sure he'd flop at Liverpool), I like Shay Given too, Steve Finnan also played his part. But what you gonna do - Spain generation is the best in all their's history, and Italy is Italy.

Indeed. And for the record we also have a good laugh at Tevez whenever we can.

England would probably have difficulty if they were drawn against a bunch of apparent no-hopers; they tend to make games more difficult themselves. As for the 'clear winner' thing, I would expect the other two groups to have clear winners; I at no point suggested which team would be the clear winner. :P

Spain has set recent international standards that's for sure; would be interesting to see how other teams will tackle them. Though not in the way the Netherlands did in the World Cup hopefully.

Have found out that me Norwich have been beaten by Man City 5-1. Could have been worse I guess; and worst defeat for us in the league so far.

A win's always good unless it's the opposition who get it; or a derby rival.

Having managed to stay awake for MOTD it comforts me to see that all the facial hair that had been on the screen has now disappeared....

Despite the loss to Man City I cannot help but laugh when seeing Balotelli score his goal. Still think it would have been funny if the officials got the call wrong and said he handballed though....

Also felt Newcastle were somewhat hard done by by the ref for not sending off Luiz; though can sort of see why that decision was made. Would have been a different game if Chelsea were down to 10 men.

Also anticipating a rant from Warnock if more daft decisions like having a perfectly legitimate goal being ruled out for offside happen to his team.

CURINTIÁÁÁÁÁÁÁ!

that's Corinthians in the fans language - 5th Brazilian Title today! - and that's not like winning some tournament where only 2-3 teams are strong enough. Our National has 20 teams always with the chance of winning it!

Good for them. That sounds like a genuinely open league (knowing nothing about it).

I just sort of hope that Corinthians aren't actually thinking of getting Tevez..... We need a Tevez jibe in there somewhere.....

Well, this year, out of the 20 contendants, 16 of them have already been Brazilian Champions. One of them 6 times, other 5, now Corinthians 5, a few of them 4 times, others 3, 2 and 1 time only. And sometimes they have really great teams, same level as the greatest European ones.

And unlike most countries in Europe, where it's always the same 2 or 3 teams, we never really know which is going to take the Cup. Tevez was in the 2005 Corinthians winning campaign and he became very popular among the fans. He wasn't a troublemaker here... hehe

Sounds like a nicely balanced league. Always more fun not knowing who is more likely to win the league.

Tevez not a troublemaker?!? I have to admit that that sentence doesn't make any sense to me.... I will admit that he is a decent player (when he decides to play), but his personal conduct is rather unbecoming of a professional football player.

Thats just Rage's way of admitting that all the teams in Brazil are as bad as each other. :P

Boca Juniors won the Argentine league too, I saw their third goal this morning and it was a brilliant strike.

Speaking of brilliant strikes FIFA's goal of the year is down to the final three and is up for voting. http://www.fifa.com/...ward/index.html Neymars is by far the best in my opinion, I don't know how Messi and Rooney's got in there. There was an Ibrahimovic one that didn't make the final round that was an absolute ******, didn't see the others though.

AC Milan have been given permission to speak to Tevez representatives. Quite frankly if your willing to employ him at this point then you deserve it blowing up in your face. Saw reports this morning they were willing to offer Pato or Thiago Silva in exchange which sounded very dubious at best.

I missed Match of the Day so the only dodgy decision I've seen was Cahill's sending off for Bolton. That was never ever a red card. As I type this the QPR one is on the tv, hhmm he is onside but it happened so fast and at first look I thought he was offside.

Socrates died the other day too.

Was anyone else getting really fed up with all the Gary Speed talk in the media? I'm not talking about the minutes applause or his old clubs paying tribute or even an RIP Gary Speed message being displayed. I have no problem with any of that or paying respects. I'm talking about the lengths they went to to make links to him and bring him into everything in the papers and on tv. Robert Snodgrass scored with a stooping header, Gary Speed once scored with a stooping header so obviously it was done in tribute, as was his freekick because he took it left footed and Speed was left footed. It all felt very cheap and to me made it seem like they would do anything for a bit of extra drama.
