My ancestors in particular only had right feet...

The Organ Grinder today anounced that Blanka will be staying at City and won't be leaving in this window. They might shut up for a while now hopefully. Although the outcome will be transfer rumours right up until he goes or until we all die.

Agreed. Although that also applies to assassin's and ninja's.

What's it do for The Iron Gerbil's reputation? You'd think a computer would be required to be a football manager these days, how does he even fill out a team sheet?

Indeed he was. Don't mention feet! Heard that guy Chelsea are after Willian can't be signed because he only has 3 caps for Brazil. Does this rule apply to the rest of Europe? Football Manager makes me think it doesn't.

The people are the FA, the very people who went all nutty like squirrel turds looking to have Blatter replaced when he said it. How many death threats from Chelsea fans is that? I can think of atleast two off the top of my head. Apparently A. Ferdinand had to shell out £30k on personal security for tomorrow even ahead of the bullet. I don't get the bullet in the post, are they saying this is the bullet we will get you with?

Exactly. Whatever was promised to Torres is still preventing him from giving his all apparently. Give the man his Kinder egg damn you John W. Henry! Unfortunately for Samba Blackburn are a tad mental and an unhappy player is probably considered a good thing.

Aye, I think the Liverpool - United match is on at around noonish(new official timescale) on ITV. Not sure what other games are on tv. Newcastle are on tv somewhere I think, the voice of Derek Acorah is in my mind informing me of that, also theres someone called...Mary...? Doesn't matter where she's from but when she possesses him she will be Scouse. This has gone off on a weird tangent...

I have known people to use their right foot; I work with them every day....

It will go on and on. Like the Energizer bunny.

And spies come to think of it.

I am starting to get the impression he just points at the player he wants to play. Joe Jordan has been working with The Iron Gerbil for a while at different clubs; starting to look like he does more than we would have guessed. I guess Kevin Bond also has to do some of that work as well. I guess The Iron Gerbil is lucky, very lucky to be doing what he's been doing; if he's as bad as he states he is his job prospects are worse than mine.

I thought the rule concerned only non-EU nationals. I recall those players had to have represented their country for 75% of their recent 10 matches or something. It's why certain players signed by English clubs are sent out immediately to a European club to obtain a work permit (as they're more relaxed about that). What was that Chinese striker's name that Man Utd signed and immediately farmed him out to Antwerp (?), Dong? to get around that problem in order to bring him back to the club properly after a couple of years (or however long it takes to get an EU work permit or citizenship). I remember there being a big kerfuffle about him not doing so as he wouldn't turn his back on his own people thing, and if he did he'd be disowned and never play for his country again.

Reminds me of a Blackadder sketch.... FA and consistency; never the twain shall meet. Seriously though there does seem to be a thing with death threats from some Chelsea fans; it is...odd. Some Liverpool fans only prevent ambulance drivers doing their jobs....

Mmm....Kinder Egg..... Maybe they gave him the Kinder Egg but witheld the toy. Or maybe he needed one last toy to complete a collection. I'd be miffed as well if they didn't get that last one for me if they promised to. That would be reason enough to disown Henry. Judging by the looks of things Chelsea haven't been able to help him with that last toy either; it looks like one of those really rare ones that Torres needs.

Hm...with that win over Man Utd I anticipate that we'll hear claims that Liverpool will soon be back where they belong; plus the possibility of a cup double.

Also pleased that Norwich had won their match as well, but after so many years of getting used to Norwich being knocked out of cup competitions straight away no matter who the opposition are I am somewhat puzzled this season.

My wife's right footed...

Apparently its already well known that he doesn't really do "tactics" he just sends the players out to play. What exactly are Spurs paying him to do other than speak out a car window to SSN reporters?

Dong Fangzhou is the man in question, not sure exactly how that panned out but I do recall him playing for United though it may have been a friendly. See thats what made me think it didn't apply to all of Europe, because of FM's ability to get feeder clubs to "naturalize" non-EU players. I believe Polish and Belgian teams were offered alot in this role and there is the Antwerp situation with United. Wasn't sure if this loophole still exists though.

Ha. Aye, Anders Frisk had to retire because of Chelsea's death threats, after Mourinho lied about him and was caught lying about him, then he circumvented his ban and admitted to that too. Yet Mourinho still has a career and Frisk does not. Is there a more recent threat too that I'm forgetting? I think there is.

Bet its one of the limited edition ones that they discontinued now, leaving Torres forever mentally scarred.

I'm oddly not that bothered about the defeat today, considering we bossed the game with a 36 and a 37 year old in midfield, it only got away from us when Scholes got too tired to control the game and we had no replacement. Thats actually the best Scholes has played in about two years. Plus we were missing Vidic, Ferdinand, Jones, Fabio, Fletcher, Anderson, Cleverly, Young, Nani, Rooney and Owen. Basically an entire team plus subs and we were still the better team.

Yet another two footed tackle without a red card or even a booking, make your mind up refs, are they a straight red or not? Also did you see the 16 conclusions on F365? They pointed out that Evra is being booed for being racially abused and its a disgrace. Scousers up in arms pointing out Suarez will be booed at Old Trafford. Failing to grasp one is booed for being racially abused and the other is being booed for racially abusing someone. Ofcourse none of this is the fault of the clubs ridiculous stance on the whole thing...

I keep getting the Norwich scores spot on on my Super Six predictions. If only I could get the other five scores right...

We rest our case.

Doesn't sound like what Scolari did at Real? The whole picking the team and letting them sort it out on the pitch. Is it Scolari I'm thinking of? pretty sure it was. Always thought of The Iron Gerbil as a little wer....a little bit way. *Cough*

Been too long since I've played a FM game so unfamiliar with that now. Also, I don't think we've had many of those sort of transfers in recent years. I would guess it very much depends on whether those countries have changed their laws regarding employment on non-EU people; Britain is just a tad strict on that front. (Dong really hasn't done much since he left for Europe.)

Yeah, I get the feeling we're forgetting something there. Another referee perhaps?

I think we can accept why his form is so poor. That's what happens when a man doesn't get to complete his Kinder Egg Surprise collection. Sad state of affairs; he has my sympathies....

The league is more important for quite a few clubs, though some do use it to try and get a good run together which hopefully propels their league form as well. Given the title race it might not be a bad thing to not play the cup competitions. Still anticipate that Liverpool will win everything they are eligible for according to their fans still....

Tackles are....well...thick and fast. Saw another today in the Sunderland-Middlesborough match. It does make me wonder at times. Liverpool fans' defence of their actions seem to be taken from the sort of logic that Liverpool lawyer had used in their defence of Suarez; missing the point. "Let us boo the swine for being allegedly racially abused by our player for it is in no way racially motivated. It is perfectly normal to chastise the victim in our fair society."

Was Scolari ever at Real? Del Bosque? Was it when the "Galactico's" were there?

I'm tempted to get this years FM, I saw it for £13 and it might make up for this awful transfer window, I'm not even excited about Jim White transfer deadline day tomorrow. I can't remember any of those transfers since Dong either. Though I noted Wenger saying today that they can't loan out their Japanese winger Miyachi to a club outside England again or he will lose his home grown status, think thats an entirely different rule, but another hurdle clubs have to get around with non-EU players. I thought they expected him to play in the first team this year anyway. I also think he is the only Japanese player left in the PL.

Hhmmm did they threaten the ref from the Barca debacle a few years ago? Orvsbo I think his name was.

I want a kinder egg now for these Lidl knock off kinder bar things just don't cut. I feel Fernando's pain.

I think they already made themselves FA Cup favourites and dismissed Cardiff in the League Cup. Ofcourse they completely ignored Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Exactly, its about time the FA did something about LFC's behaviour in this whole debacle, they have gotten away with blue murder so far. If it had been any other team they would have the book thrown at them. Dalglish even praised the fans on Saturday. Apparently all United players get booed, they must only boo them when Evra has the ball.

Ah....yeah, that's right; got my managers confused. It was del Bosque I was thinking of.

I remember seeing FM for that price as well, can't recall where I saw it though. White only play off of what is available to him, and it seems like slim pickings this year. As for Japanese players...really can't think of any who are active in the Prem at the moment, if there are any, so he may well be. There are more South Koreans in recent years by contrast though. Mind you, I can't think of any particularly successful Japanese players in the Premier League though.

Wouldn't surprise me if they did; though I still don't remember the incident.

There are proper Kinder chocolate bars. Absolutely lovely, and not the wafer Bueno either. No toy though, but good for Kinder choccy goodness. Yum.... Maybe Chelsea management can start feeding Torres some Kinder choccy goodness; force feed him if need be.

Well...I'm sure there are those who are convinced (and perhaps they are justified though time will tell) that Dalglish has gotten the team to turn the corner. Has anyone trademarked 'best team in the world' yet?

It does indeed seem absolutely shambolic the way it has gone on. Fan logic rarely makes sense at the best of times, but given the gravity of the situation I'd have liked to have thought that some reason would have come into play a bit more. That hasn't happened. While Liverpool's defence of Suarez is understandable for Suarez's morale it seems to have lent a certain...acceptability and legitimization of racially motivated abuse (or at least that's one way to interpret it whether it is a rightful or wrongful interpretation is another matter). Supporters have seemed to latch onto that and see no wrong in doing so, for example the subsequent abuse of Adeyemi. The question is which body will actually raise the issue first. I half suspect that the issue will not be confronted.

Seen the gossip that Liverpool put in a cheeky inquiry for Tevez? There's a sense that I would want to see the ensuing drama unfold should Tevez go to Liverpool, and perhaps Suarez could teach Tevez some English (I read somewhere that Suarez is taking extra English lessons to avoid any other missteps in language use, in which case good for him as he's made more effort than Tevez on that front).

Heard from a mate that it's been suggested that Venky's have no idea how transfers work. The thought was that they pay a transfer fee for a player and that's the end of any further financial necessity from the club; i.e. they didn't factor in the player's wages. I do wonder if that's true...

I think that was back during the days of Raul though when managers alledgedly had no real power anyway.

I think it might have been play.com I saw it. Nakata did alright at Bolton if I remember correctly, can't think of any others apart from Inamoto. United were linked with Nakamura alot and I'd have loved for us to sign him, he had a brilliant left foot on him...uh oh.

He denied Chelsea a few penalty claims, basically heavily favoured Barca and they went a bit nuts.

Aye these lidl things are a direct rip-off of them. You can't beat kinder. I remember reading that Ruud Van Nistleroy eats a sponge cake before every game. He knew how to score goals so perhaps fore feeding Torres isn't a bad idea.

Carlsberg?

They have managed to turn themselves into the victims despite Suarez admitting to it and being found guilty of lying. They still for some reason believe Evra was lying and the panel was corrupt. Its all being started and driven by the club itself, so the fans are just an extension of that. If thats not bringing the game into disrepute then I dunno what is. Like I said, any other club. I suspection you're right with your suspicion. Also cancelling the pre-game handshake before the QPR - Chelsea game? I dunno but I suspect it was solely to spare the blushes of the England captain.

Ha aye I laughed at that. Is Liverpool any closer to Argentina? I don't think I could take the fallout of that if it actually happened.

I'm inclined to believe that. Alot of fans seem to forget that too but it seems absurd that owners would then I remember everything else and....it makes sense.

Well, I remember the manager was allowed to use the remote he if was nice to Raul....

Hm...with Soul Calibur 5 coming out soon....may have to give FM a miss. Also time consuming. There hasn't been many Japanese players in the Prem of late, not of major impact anyway. *Whistles*

People should be afraid when Chelsea fans feel they have been offended, especially considering what has happened over the years. The current one could also be nasty.

Sponge cake before every game? I wonder if they're those little fairy cakes or a proper 9 inch baked sponge. I think Torres just needs to be reminded of the Kinder goodness and all will be well with him again; unless he has been so badly scarred that he can't even bear to look at them again....

Hm...I think they'd just stick a 'probably' at the front which doesn't have the same impact. Can't imagine any club's fans chanting "we're probably the best team in the world!"

Having read through the F365 mailbox there's only one particular letter which I agree and empathize with to a certain degree, but their letter was pretty much self defeating in the end. The thought is that the club (and by extension the fans) believe that Suarez is innocent (despite the official ruling to the contrary) and that the support of his innocence is distinguished from condoning racism (after all they maintain the stance that no racist abuse took place). It is a fair point if it is a true belief. Unfortunately they go on to suggest that Evra got booed because they believe he was not racially abused, in which case why was he booed then? Another 10 opposition players were not racially abused and they were presumably booed were they? Or was it just Evra? What about your team's own players who you believe weren't racially abused? (Making daft arguments now....) If they really want to show support for Suarez then support Suarez; cheer him when he plays or something; why boo someone? Daft behaviour. As for the handshake thing...that makes sense actually. AVB was rather inconsistent on what he thought would be good before and after the match. Oh...and a signing without his apparent input citing the club's youth policy.

I get the feeling that Liverpool is a little bit more to the west than Manchester. If it did happen...well...rubbernecking comes to mind. You know you shouldn't but you want to see what happened.

I wonder which part of the fit and proper persons test would have accounted for basic mathematical acumen. Hm.....

I wouldn't mind SC5 but it would require buying an arcade stick again after selling my last one. But I've also ME3 and the Witcher 2 lined up.

It was some form of cake, pretty sure it was sponge and he implied it was a whole one. Maybe Torres needs something new like some lindt.

I read that but its just clutching at straws, everyone knows why they booed him and their stance on the issue. It's been made perfectly clear by the club and theres no worming out of it. Suarez is obviously going to get booed at Old Trafford and probably every ground he goes to now but he actually did something worthy of a boo. It makes sense to cancel the handshake or it makes sense that they are doing it to spare Terry embarrassment? I dunno why they have the handshake, I only shook people's hands if they earned it, being forced to shake someones hand is just....weird. Haven't heard that about AVB.

I thought Liverpool was further east but my knowledge of English geography is...limited. He has appealed his fine the cheeky pr*ck. AC Milan are back in for him today again, I'm beginning to hate them. Stump up the cash or go home.

Maybe they forgot maths questions...

Transfer deadline day is in full swing. My favourite day of the year, United are signing some youngster from City and selling Morrison. Everton and QPR the big movers so far, no word of Norwich that I've seen yet. Holding out vague hope that United sign a midfielder too but can't see it. I've a medical this afternoon and might phone SSN to see if they will turn up outside it to interview me.

Yet to put in my order for it, tempted to get another stick though....

Oo...a whole cake. I assume the cake isn't a lie in van Nistelrooy's case then. But Lindt for Torres...hm....

Basically Liverpool as a club are in dodgy territory again. There's an article of F365 about handshakes before the game being a bit daft in general. Sort of gotten used to the whole ritual, but not bothered either way. Makes sense you only shake hands with certain people and in certain situations. Mind you, concerning what happened with Wayne Bridge...why didn't those handshakes get removed? Hm.....

Liverpool is geographically, ignoring curvature of the earth and such inconveniences, further to the west; so is closer to Argentina. Appealing to the Premier League as well. Deluded doesn't quite cover it....

Starting to think that 'fit' might be referring to physical attractiveness. Have yet to determine what 'proper' might mean though. In such a case, mathematical ability isn't amongst the criteria.

Rumours have it that Rangers want Grant Holt..... I would have thought that all you'd need to do is sit on a sofa to get SSN's attention....

Two teams in Germany? Does that not get awkward Kallianira?

I blame FIFA for the handshake nonsense.

Eugh I don't like knowing I'm closer to Scouseland than I originally thought.

Hhhmmm good thinking perhaps "proper" is some sort of slang like they are fit and they would get a proper seeing to?

Read that about Holt, Norwich turned down the bid. Would he want to play in the CL with Rangers and maybe not qualify or stick with Norwich in a better league? Be interesting to see if he hands in a transfer request. Confused why Spurs are after Saha, I thought he was a great player but he is an injury prone 34 year old on poor form now.

FIFA, huh? Might explain things....

Afraid so, Druss. You will now have to live with that knowledge for the rest of your life. My apologies.

Hm...starting to sound very...er...*ahem* questionable to say the least.

I think they used the word 'blocked' with reference to Holt. Would make me wonder whether it would turn his head, there's always a possibility. Saha always struck me as the ultimate form player as it were. It's unfortunate for him and his club that it's been a long time since he was in form.

Some interesting results tonight. Chelsea fluffing it again and Everton beating Man City. Well....this is, how is it said? squeaky bum time? for Man City as they're now level on points with Man Utd.

It smells of FIFA anyway.

I might move to China then.

The Everton game was pretty good, MotD is on as I type this but I can't look away from SSN. Natalie Sawyer is clearly winding up Jim White and giggling as he turns purple and goes into wild excited rants about "it all happening now" or "there's deals going through all the time!!"

Apparently Pogba came on tonight for United and played very well, interesting. Will have to wait for football first to witness it later.

I'm sure one of the moneymen will try and bottle up that smell and sell it in a perfumery or something....

Hm...I'd suggest Japan myself.

Have to admit that it has been a fairly quiet transfer window overall. The biggest name moving, at least in my mind, is Djibril Cisse. Still think he had an extremely bad run at Liverpool in terms of injuries, so I don't think we ever saw the best he had to offer.

Heard that Pogba played well too. Seems like some faith has been restored as it were for those who were losing it.

Looks like the Terry incident will drag on now due to the impending trial. At least with Suarez the FA acted fairly swiftly. This will not be pretty. Anticipating more suspicious packages to be sent to Anton Ferdinand as a result.

Condolences out to the people in Egypt, I'm sure there were troublemakers out there, and too many times the people who suffer are the ones who just wanted to get away from that kind of scenario.

Speaking of Japanese players, do you know Inter has a really unassuming Japanese player, Nagatomo, but man, he can play.

You look at him and think, well, he doesn't really look like too much of a threat, but he's got incredible pace and has a great intelligence for the game. When he links up with Cambiasso, ooof, they make beautiful things happen hehe.

So the Tevez drama is still going on? .... Didn't they say he was going to PSG? Its interesting how it was about a few years ago now that Man City and Madrid began their serious cash investments into the club, and it is only till this season really when its beginning to pay dividends...and even now, there are still some doubts for both clubs. You really can't just buy a club and buy the best players on the market, there needs to be some actual building in order for those players to materialise as a team.

...also, just wanted to let you guys know, because I know its important for yall, but there was another weird episode of Doctor Who on the other day, and like last time, it was also pretty good. lol  (blame the sugar intake)

It seems to be once again extremists using football for their own agenda causing deaths for innocents.

Has Cisse done well anywhere since Liverpool? He was brilliant before he went there.

Pogba played well, was neat and tidy. Hopefully he will get a chance because Carrick must be knackered and Scholes can't play three games a week.

What the hell...http://www.football3...ol-during-trial I don't even know where to start. Do I go with the staring or questioning if The Iron Gerbil was having an affair with Milan Mandaric?

But City did just buy a club and buy the best players as did Chelsea.

Why did Spurs sell two fit players and sign one very injury prone one and one thats not played since August with a career threatening injury in a position they badly need cover? Are they addicted to deadline day signings?

The FA now have a decision to make regarding Terry. It's their bloody fault though, he should have been dropped and banned years ago. This isn't his first "incident".

I thought Nagatomo was Cameroonian for some reason...

Sunderland seem to have found some form and took Norwich a bit by surprise.

That seems to happen a bit too much for my liking. Condolences to those who lost someone.

No idea. I'm guessing nothing spectacular; I just think it's a shame we never got to see him at his best as I would with any other player really. Scored on his debut so we'll have to see how his current spell in the league is.

Maybe Pogba will get games now; partly to ease him into the team but also to show that he needn't go elsewhere to get games.

The Iron Gerbil: I was still stuck on the 'thinking of Beckham' line at the time. Then I read another version about marking Beckham. I thought the first one made a bit more sense.... Anyway....I think The Iron Gerbil and Mandaric were very special friends.

Chelsea's success came quicker than Man City's (as Man City hasn't gotten a trophy yet since the extravagant expenditure), though it's probably easier to judge in a couple of years time. When Abramovich bought Chelsea they were a club who were thereabouts at the top end of the table, so they weren't doing badly football-wise (financially that was a different matter). Ranieri only managed one season before Mourinho came in I think; more cash and trophies along with it. Mourinho was timely if nothing else. Man City though...not sure where to begin. Do we start with Shinawatra's initial purchase or just Mansour's? Even just focusing on Mansour's the success hasn't come as quickly as Chelsea's. There are other factors of course like the relative successes of other clubs, players, etc. but Man City's progress feels slower at the moment.

Maybe there's something to do with taxable transfer bonuses in there somewhere, and that they do like their deadline day deals. I'm sure a lot of shouting gets to be done in those last few minutes. Last minute transfers out of the club doesn't do them much good like when Berbatov left. Not sure if they've learnt their lesson. Or maybe they have and it's a tactic to weaken the other team deliberately....hm....conspiracy hat is nearby I feel.....

Have to admit the marketing people did a good job of positioning Terry to be this role model and to continue as England captain despite what has gone on. Now....whether he continues as England captain...I wonder who is going to bring it up first: the FA or Capello?

I'm thinking 'long friend' at the moment, not that that makes a lot of sense....

We's were battered. Have we suffered that big a loss with no reply this season? Quick check suggests losing to MK Dons 4-0 is our heaviest defeat with no reply (though cup competition....). Worst was losing 5-1 to Man City and even then we managed to score a goal. Still all to play for.

EDIT: the Tevez thing never really stopped; just less reports on him playing golf I believe.

Doctor Who and weird, huh? Hm...am intrigued what episode you saw, modjo.

He wasn't that bad at Lazio, considering he had to play as right winger most of the time. I guess he was planned as striker (the position he always played), but couldn't compete with Miro Klose - who is playing a very good season so far. So, in short, Cisse wasn't happy there.

They were implying over here that Cisse wasn't getting on at all because of Klose, probably just didn't research it and assumed Klose was playing instead of him. He does seem to have a habit of debut goals, thats his third in England alone.

There was so much that The Iron Gerbil came out with that I still don't know where to start. I was waiting for a tale involving ice cream and hand holding between the two of them.

Ah, but City won the FA Cup and have overtaken Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton and Villa since they got their money. They are now a Champions League team and competing for the league, time will tell if they have overtaken us too. With their money they are now the favourites for most competitions. Chelsea's investment was arguably poorly planned short term investment that got them initial success, but thats all Mourinho seems to do anywhere.

Well Kean was on SSN today saying they released Nelson because he can't get over his injury and hasn't managed 90 minutes in over 8 months. He implied he kept attempting reserve comebacks but failed to finish a single game. So its a strange one. Looks like Sir Alex was right to let Hargreaves go too.

It was more the media than Terry's marketers I think, much like a certain Gerbil of an Iron nature.

It made so little sense that it took me a while to work out you were translating. From now on he will be known as Jimmy Longfriend in my mind.

Alot of promoted teams seem to struggle after Christmas, only four wins away from probable safety though so its by no means a panic situation. Just a blip.

Tevez? Stopping?......http://www.football3...On-Whingeing... Man City have the bloody cheek to ask for a fee for him! Human rights are being repressed! Free Tevez from his £200k a week football hell! Or someone take the moany wee f*cker to one side and slap some sense into him.

Should be interesting to see how he fares here again. I think I read that he didn't want to hear about the 'r' word. We shall see if he can help in that respect.

Well...with Valentine's coming up I somehow hear 'Love is in the air' playing in the background with The Iron Gerbil and Mandaric wistfully reminiscing about their moments together....

FA Cup? Hm...forgot about that one; that's what happens with a lack of research.... Man City have a very strong team though I'm not entirely sure about the squad; they have stumbled a little over the last couple of games or so. Time will tell indeed. Without the FFP coming in I would have no doubt of them overtaking any team in England; there just isn't another team who would have the resources to compete on that level. True about Mourinho, though he has managed to time his exits pretty well in general. Real seems to be a true test of his abilities...*cough*

I don't think Ferguson is often wrong in letting certain players go; I can't think of any off the top of my head. Most players he has had to let go are done so for a good reason and he's managed to keep the team going in their absence. I suppose the only one that might have had a negative impact was Jaap Stam, though that wasn't for footballing reasons he was let go I recall. Forlan never seemed to find his feet at Old Trafford but has done well in Spain. If Man Utd win the league by a point or something this season then letting Gibson leave could be construed as a right choice as well. Any players that come to mind?

Always thought it was a marketing thing meself, but the media does share a part in that. Alan Hansen using phrases like 'John Terry position' for instance now I come to think of it. After how they've been portrayed by the media I wonder if their reputations will remain intact after their respective trials...

Half-hearted translation with a dollop of imagination, my friend.

Not panicking yet. Might do if we hit a winless run; will do if he hit a losing run. More concerned of whether Holt got his head turned by Rangers. A player having their head turned is never good for the team; Lescott at Everton before going to Man City, Charlie Adams at Blackpool second half of the season with the interest from Liverpool are examples. Modric is one of the few who hasn't succumbed entirely to head turning.

Tevez whinging and moaning. At least he learnt something of the British culture while he was here (though not the language); learning how to moan. All he has to do is apply that to the weather now.... I do wonder (as if I do anything else now-a-days) how strong Man City's stance on his contractual obligations are. As much it is a pain with this situation (we haven't had a decent laugh at him for a while) I am intrigued at Man City's stance.

So the FA actually moved to strip Terry of the England captaincy. That answers my question about that possibility. So with various views of whether they should have stripped him of it or not (haven't read many of those yet but should prove interesting), I wonder who will get to be the captain. Gerrard? seeing he is vice-captain if memory serves. Who else would be suitable?
