Ah...nothing like a fan protest video. I now know why you missed the legal shenanigans. You should check it out though if you want good laughing material. ;)

Gillette wanting to sue took the biscuit. He defaulted on his loan payments, and wanted to sue for loss of earnings in the eventual sale of the club he no longer had any financial stake in. I wonder why people who had to default on their mortgage payments don't come up with that idea? Sue someone for more than what your (former) possession was worth.

To be fair if I was Hicks and Gillette I'd do everything in my power to annoy the Scousers for the way they carried on. The whole thing is so undignified and childish its barely even believable.

Oh, without a doubt. But it got to the point when only stupidity ruled. At which point I stopped laughing and got annoyed. *Hmph*

With Man Utd though I do recall a documentary charting the Glazer's own business dealings in sport in the US as...not being very encouraging. How many fans are still protesting there I wonder. At least they paid back a chunk of the debt they had incrued which is of some relief. At least I think that's right anyway.

To be honest I've had no problem with the Glazers they see United as a business and thats it. I don't expect them to treat it any other way or act like we have some sort of heritage and prestige they must live up to. It might affect us on the pitch at some point if they aren't investing but we have no right to be at the top table and you can't choose your owners based on fans self important beliefs. Some of our fans are almost as precious as the Liverpool ones. All the green n gold protesting was just embarrassing especially when you consider the people looking to take over. People claiming that just because we had £80m from the Ronaldo sale and hadn't spent the £25m we usually get for transfers per season that we *should* have spent £100m wether we needed to or not. Retards, thats whats wrong with football. Too many damn fools. I don't think anyone actually knows whats going on with the Glazers debts, theres so much nonesense being flung around.

I'm watching that Liverpool Tom Hicks clip again that I linked to. I swear its one of the funniest videos on youtube and the comments from the Liverpool fans underneath.... I just can't stop laughing.

Also just found out that Ryan Giggs only needs one more medal to become the most decorated player in the world. He is currently tied for first with 31 medals with Victor Baia the former Portugese goalkeeper.

well that will be guarenteed at the end of the season then druss..

and Chelski are out of the cup....and Norwich are losing to Leeds.....But in true Man Utd fashion, I am confident Norwich will get the winner in 95th minute :P

EDIT:  We decided to score in first half injury time instead lol

LMAO stop stealing our trademark!!

I hope to god you beat Leeds though I can't stomach their fans if they get back into the EPL.

Do you mean the Giggs thing will be guarenteed Auto? I'm not overly confident myself, optimistic but not confident.

Scummy Leeds!

I still think the prem is hard to call, no one is on particularly good form and we still have some tough fixtures to go.

I've a feeling Crawley might score first against us.

Championship is getting tight. Miffed that we drew with Leeds but at least we didn't lose.

Will have to check the Man Utd/Crawley match to see how that's going....

I actually fell asleep during that match, it was a turgid affair. The patronizing commentary didn't help much either. Apparently Crawley are allowed to commit fouls because they are non-league. I've no complaints about the ref but the commentary team making out like Crawley players are allowed to blatantly shoulder Hernandez in the face off the ball to stop him from going to challenge for the ball because they are non-league is just hard to take. If I was playing for Crawley or a Crawley fan I'd be offended at them talking like that.

That bad, huh? Sort of glad I missed it in the end then.

Commentators can be sort of....odd at times. I hear that quite a few people prefer listening to the radio rather than the TV offering.

For some reason that tackling thing reminds me of challenges that go unpunished even though they're as blatant as anything.

Yeah it was a nothing game, looked for a while in the first half that we might get a few goals when we took charge for a spell but when Anderson went off for Rooney we lost control of the game. Anderson was excellent while he was on and has really come along this season.

Theres certain players in the league who do get away with blue murder on a regular basis, often centrebacks who aren't the quickest. Vidic, Terry and Carragher immediately spring to mind but its probably because they are more high profile so more likely to be seen on tv.

I get annoyed by all the shirt pulling at corners and freekicks. Its one of the most frustrating things when your playing and its almost as bad watching it happen on tv.

A bit of bias but Carragher seems to have gotten away with quite a few...what I would consider wrestling moves. Terry managed a great save one time; and Vidic seems to get away with quite a few decisions. Wouldn't be so bad if there's a touch of consistency from the officials.

Some of the worst are probably from the World Cups. I remember a blatant clothesline and...nothing from the ref. I understand managers not seeing incidents perpetrated by their own players, but from officials that's pretty poor.

Terry made a great save ONE time? The mans handled more balls than Jenna Jameson. Carragher gets away with hauling down anyone who gets past him, Vidic does it too but isn't quite as obvious and on rare occassions actually gets called on it.

The clothesline incident is ringing a bell but I can't quite remember it fully, did it happen a long time ago? Wenger is the absolute master of not seeing incidents, its understandable he doesn't want to comment but hes a bit too vocal when someone makes a bad tackle against one of his players. He takes the moaning a bit too far.

I've never understood why refs take abuse from players, if someone started screaming at you in work the way players scream and curse at refs you would put their teeth down their throat nevermind give them a yellow card.

Sadly, the referees in Barclay's Premier League have a really poor standard.... are there actually anyone you could say is very good?

Well the Terry one was an exceptionally good save...if he was a goalkeeper. (*Heh* Jenna Jameson.)

Carragher should become a professional wrestler.

The clothesline incident happened at the 2002 World Cup but I can't remember the match; just the incident.

Maybe officials can start a campaign and have posters up like they do in hospitals that they don't have to take abuse. Actually, that would be fair to be honest.

Good refs...can't think of any at the mo.

The best handball "save" that I can remember was Steven Taylor for Newcastle a few years ago, it wasn't so much the save but his instant reaction of going down like he was shot. A bit over the top for someone who'd been hit by a ball, sometimes you just have to appreciate the effort put in to a random bit of cheating.

Officials have been doing the whole respect campaign for ages now but it doesn't seem to have gotten them anywhere. I don't have a problem with swearing really, I'm Irish its how we communicate but when your screaming those curses in someones face I just don't get how ref's can take it. I don't know anyone in any other profession that would.

Your right Nattfare the PL refs aren't great but its always hard to pick out a good ref because if they are that good then you don't really notice them.

Well...hate to be a party pooper and bring 'them' back into the conversation...

But the two best 'saves' I can remember were Carraghers in the quarter finals and Hypia's in the semi final (both unpunished) the year they won the Champs League...

Cheating scouse bastards! XD

Nowt wrong wit dat. *Cough*

Steven Taylor does seem to get shot when the ball touches his arm though. And he gets away with it, so it must work.

Can we have a party without 'them'? It's us so....hm....draw your own conclusion. *Heh*

Trying to con the ref is one thing, but certain blatant decisions not being given is just....*urgh* annoying to say the least. I can understand that there's a certain bias to side with the top teams, but when Arsenal met 'them' in the Champions League a while back, wasn't it sort of odd that 'they' got away with the most dodgy of situations? Very suspicious.

I didn't see those hand balls because 'they' were painful to watch the whole way through that competition. I seem to recall two handballs in cup finals by Stefan Henchoz for 'them' the year they won the plastic treble.

Around this time I could b*tch about the Drogba goal against us last season that was clearly a yard offside and in the end up if it had been called correctly we would be league champions and not Chelsea. But such things happen.

Was Henchoz still there the year they won the champions league? I'm nearly sure one of his handballs was back in the Houlier reign when they won the league cup and FA Cup. He handled on the line in both finals if memory serves me right, but it was a long time ago so I may be mistaken. We could be talking about four different incidents and have all four wrong lol.

And here he is in all his glory, he did something similar earlier this season and really should be ashamed of himself.... this coming from a Newcastle fan.
