Truly? Paul Lambert has done a very impressive job for them.

Indeed. Personally I think that what has happened this season is beyond reasonable expectation. If everyone keeps level headed we have a bright future; if not...cue knee-jerk reactions.

Aye Natt....Lambert is showing whata trult talented manager he is (when at the right club....as can be said for many managers I guess)....
But he is still young and reletively inexperienced at management, so perhaps all the more impressive, when you consider half the squad is really of league 1 standard imo.
And agreed OBaka, I'd have been happy with with mid table anonymity given where we were when Lambert took over. Truly remarkable really....

Level headed and football don't really go together though.
I'd like to see some rules brought in where teams and managers have to sign off on their ambitions at the start and middle of each season for both the short and long term. Then you can't sack your manager unless you can prove that its exceptional circumstances or they are failing to meet the ambitions that were agreed to. It would cut down on the knee jerk reactions and teams hiring the flavour of the month manager or ex-player with no experience at all. But I live in a strange fantasy land where things like loyalty are real.

*Gasp* You're saying that...there's no loyalty in football? *Sniff* But, but...players kiss the badge!

OBaka sit down son its time for some truths. They kiss the badge because its covered in cinamon and they like the taste.

Aw Darth your always playing with my heart.
Its been a hell of a strange season and I'm still betting on it going right down to the wire.
And I agree, this season (as far as the PL goes) is gonna end up tight.

Ah...cinnamon. That explains a lot. Thank you for making me understand, Druss; I still have a lot to learn.

OBaka you've just taken your first steps into a larger world.
Just read some rumours that we are signing Javier Pastore for £34m and his agent is in England for talks with us. While I don't actually believe it and I'm not even sure who he is its still damn nice to be linked with actual midfielders and not Ashley Young or anyone else who just happens to be English and half decent.

Not a bad player.....though will he adapt to the English game?
If he does adapt well, could be a sterling buy.

They are just rumours at the minute. I'm about 98% sure he will go to Barca or Real Madrid anyway. Its just nice to be linked with players who aren't already in the PL flattering to decieve purely because they are English. South Americans can be very hit and miss over here but hes only young and apparently big and strong enough for the PL. I'd like us to sign Modric or Sneijder if we are going to splash the cash on a central midfielder.

Just saw on sky sports news the scouse are wheeling out the ex players to say they are ready to finish fourth now. I laughed long and hard at that one. It was our worst performance of the season and we still scored, had two cleared off the line, hit the post and Giggs and Chicharito missed golden chances. All this despite our attack offering the square root of nothing for the entire match.
The only team thats played well against them since "King" Kenny took over was West Ham and they took them apart. Delusion is a great thing to have.

LMAO
Speaking of delusion I'm just watching a phone in on MUTV, the Paddy Crerand show. Rightfully enough they are complaining that Carraghers possible career ending tackle was given nowhere near the same level of scrutiny as Rooney's elbow. But then they are going into things like calling it Rooneys ALLEGED elbow, bloody hell. Theres no words....
But my favourite bit of delusion was one person phoning in and saying how everything will be rosey when Hargreaves comes back. First off we are still top of the league and just had a couple of bad results, secondly Hargreaves coming back? I'd love to see it but hes played 4 minutes in the last 2 years.
I also take issue with Gerrard trying to stop United players from talking to the ref after the tackle while Liverpool players surrounded him. He even tried to stop our captain Evra from talking to him. God he has one of those faces I'd love to punt.

That almost looked like a swinging neckbreaker.
And Arsenal are out of the Champions League. What was van Persie up to?

To be fair, I was listening to the Sky sports commentary...and he shot virtually the minute he fot the ball...every panel member agreed it was very harsh as he would have been unlikely to have heard the whistle...
he didn't look up when he got the ball, just control and shot.....so I feel it was a bad decision personally....but hell...Barca went RAMPANT after that didn't they?

I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to it but at first glance it looked like a very nonchalant shot like he was trying to waste time. Second time I saw it, it looked more like a mistake. Either way it was a very harsh second yellow.

Absolute joke, the stewards weren't even trying to catch him. So when one of the players decided that he wanted to go on with the game he gets sent off for it.... astonashing.
