Whats this whole Leeds - Norwich thing? Am I now missing something?
I don't even know where to start on the decisions in the United match OBaka. There was some strange decisions going both ways. Can't argue with either of West Hams penalties though, one of them MAY have been outside the box but even after numerous replays I can't tell so I don't expect the ref to see it. Can't argue with the penalty. Though the depiction of the match that MotD gave was very different from the match I watched. Not the first time they have done that.
Thats insane Natt. I don't understand that behaviour at all, some fans are just scum. If your in with the opposition fans then you can expect a bit of abuse and banter, but I can't understand why people would go further than that. Wanting to attack someone for the team they support is demented.
Mind you the whole Celtic - Rangers thing goes alot further here. Wear the wrong top or what looks like the wrong top in the wrong area and you might not get out alive. Literally.

Theres nothing going on Druss......we just both happened to drop to the lower echelons and both get promoted last season....and were both looking for promotion again this season....
Thats about as far as it goes I thin with similarities.......because...obviously....were miles better than Leeds, and they have some woman called Betty making the pie and chips, where as we have Delia making ours
Personally...can't stand Leeds either lmao....

Don't forget Norwich have better "Fry" ups as well...
...That is a joke.
I've gotta admit a Norwich-Leeds double promotion seems unlikely to me IMO at this stage but their inclusion and hopefully the relegation of duff teams like Wigan and Blackburn; would at least make the Premiership more interesting next season.

lol, somebody get the water.
yeah, for real, that seems terrible for the sick kids. sometimes as a people, we are too quick to jump to conclusions and act way too irrational. also, if they hadn't been bothering the home fans, why did they feel they had to act that way?

Fry ups....sweet jesus....what have we sunk to?
In every big crowd theres always going to be an element of scummery Modjo, there was probably thousands of people there who had no problem with it but that one small element is the one that stands out. Some teams have a bigger problem with it than others.
I think the attendance today in the Man City game put the notion that they are a big club to bed. You wouldn't see any of the other top teams playing a home premier league game with so many empty seats.

For some reason I get the feeling that the worst fans (feel that should be 'fans') tend to be more vocal. Given a large enough amount of people then you'll see all-sorts (and not the licorice variety either) in there. I'm guessing the mob mentality probably plays a part as well.

Its alot like the forums OBaka, the people that hated ME2 and the people that hate DA2 tend to be the ones flooding the forums. Angry people will always be more vocal than non-angry people. I think West Ham are one of the teams known for a particularly nasty set of fans along with Millwall.

Haha Dylan Moran's a legend.
All this recent talk of fair weather fans reminded me of this old clip from The Fast Show....
and this from That Mitchell and Webb look...
which lead me to this...

Also at the risk of angering Natt and his hatred of Fat Sam: After hearing Allardyce commentating on a couple of games lately I think he might actually be the best commentator on TV at the minute. He is way, way, way better than that tw*t Andy Gray used to be.

So are we to understand that its ok to elbow someone in the face off the ball, its ok to attempt to break someones leg with a knee high tackle and its indeed ok to shoot someone but you can't swear?
Why call it now? Why not do it when players are clearly and f*cking obviously swearing at the ref? Perhaps because the head of the FA is a former Man City chairman and the ban will take in the Man City FA Cup match? If your offended by the word f*ck then you really shouldn't be at a football match or watching it on tv.

Chuck Norris is beyond our mortal ken though so he doesn't count.
I hate Rooney as much as the next man but this is utterly ridiculous, a two match ban for cursing? He's been cursing away at refs all season and never got banned, its all good when he's playing sh*t but as soon as he hits some form in comes the ban. I'm going all conspiracy theory mental like OBaka.
He's done much worse, why ban him now over nothing? If fans are allowed to curse at players and sing whatever they want then they should be allowed to curse back. Wheres the line going to be drawn from now on? What if someone is lip read telling the ref to f*ck off next week? The FA are a complete joke.

Something has to give sooner or later, they can't go on making these kinds of ridiculous decisions. First not banning him for the elbow assault on McCarthy and now banning him for this? I'd like to see Rooney pull a Shearer and say he won't play for England if they ban him for it.
Avram Grant has got a 2 match ban too, for giving his opinion on a ref. Why make them do press conferences if your going to ban them for answering questions? Why give a ban that basically means nothing? Its all pointless. Why wear your trousers in the bath? I give up, f*ck it.

What if they had ran the entire country instead?
The suspension on Rooney is indeed laughable.... but if he is banned against Newcastle I won't complain...

I think the ban is for Fulham and the Man City cup match, unless he appeals and gets an extra game or two ban. Not sure which fixtures they cover though.

Rooney would indeed miss the Newcastle fixture if he appeals and is found still guilty. Which is another questionable rule.

Looking forward the battle of managers I'd love to see set on fire tomorrow night. Think Real will get off to a first leg advantage.

Should be two interesting games that. So who do you favor Mourinho or 'Arry?

Posté 04 avril 2011 - 09:32
Seems likely. Also, Spurs are closer to home hence more 'Arry; Mourinho is a fair distance away.
Rooney: yeah, he has been swearing a lot; like a lot of other players. But is it because he directed it at a camera or something? I'm aware of there being swearing but what made this particular outburst special enough for the FA to act? Or is there a conspiracy....hm....
Elbowing people in the face has been OK for a few years I think depending on the ref. I still recall a Shearer (spinning) elbow against an Inter player all those years ago, and he wasn't sent off despite the blatantly obvious intent in the action. Actually, I think I have seen the move in Virtua Fighter 5. Very inspiring. Come to think of it, Shearer flung out quite a few elbows in his day; so I never understood how he seemed to preserve this...good person stature he seems to have.
EDIT: ah, I see. Rooney swore into a camera.
