Thats a tough one Natt. Its like choosing between having acid poured in your eye or having your nuts set on fire. I can't bring myself to choose.
Yeah he swore into a camera OBaka. He may aswell have punched the cameraman, atleast he might have got away with that.
Shearer once blatantly kicked Neil Lennon in the face and got away with it by threatening not to play for England if they punished him.

yeah, you guys are right about the vocal fans. it doesn't take much to tarnish an otherwise normal trip to the park. hmm, man city had a lot of empty seats? its kind of surprising since they won that game comfortably, and overall this season has not been bad for them (though they were serious contenders for the title for a while)
about the whole rooney accident. well, you can't just let it slide, he swore into the camera, which is a bit more serious. however, i do agree that elbows and blatant fouls should not be allowed to slide, big player or not. question about shearer: did he threaten to not play for england for just a few matches or a tournament, or to just flat out retire? cause if rooney threatened to retire from the national team, it would be so interesting to see what would happen.

Man City just aren't a big team. They don't have the pull.
A two game ban for swearing though Modjo? Anything more than a fine is an absolute joke. Why not let it slide? Why suddenly become paragons of justice now after how much they have let slide during the season? Would they have pulled up the elbow thing if he was on the form then that he is now?
He can swear at the ref and everyone knows what hes saying, the fans can chant anything they want at him and nothing is done. Apparently they were singing abuse about his wife and kid all match. He gets caught up in emotion and curses and its a two game ban? Why not punish West Ham for their fans behaviour? I want to see him punished when he has done something worth punishing. This is just beyond stupid.
Can't remember exactly what Shearer threatened, It was never officially anounced, just one of those things everyone knew. I think it was refusing to play in a tournament. Not the best of videos but this is what he did...

Man City fans think they are a big team (and perhaps in time they might be, but that's a long way off if it happens) due to the finances available. Even then that is false because having a rich owner does not equate to the club itself being rich; never understood why they're are taken to be the same thing.
A friend of mine commented that he can never understand why people leave early during matches; he thinks it defeats the idea of attending a match. (Especially if your team specializes in late goals...)
Rooney's swearing: I'm guessing the punishment is more severe because having sworn into the camera it meant what he said was picked up and broadcast. If he hadn't it would have just earned the usual attention (i.e. not a lot), but since it was audibly recorded and broadcast he had inadvertently broken broadcasting restrictions or the like. You know, where 'live' shows now have a few seconds delay so they can censor the swearing. Was Drogba punished for something similar earlier during the season? I recall there was something about a camera as well.

That's not true, Lennon headbutted Shearer's foot..

Actually Natt, Shearer psychically commanded Lennon to headbutt his foot so its still Shearer's fault. Its a well known fact that Alan Shearer is a Geordie witch.
Did you see Eastlands on Sunday OBaka? Behind one of the goals had an entire tier empty as well as big patches of emptiness everywhere else. They aren't a big team or a team anyone wants to see, they are just a rich Arab's plaything.
I'm inclined to agree with your mate, it seems stupid to me to leave early unless you absolutely have to. Prawn sandwhich brigade....
Drogba's ban was after Barca beat Chelsea in the Champions League a couple of seasons ago if I'm not mistaken. He was also banned more for going absolutely apesh*t rather than just swearing, it was also a UEFA ban not an FA one. Theres no precedent for this and if they are starting to crack down on it then they need to announce that first and not just do it as soon as the media tells them to. It was also done in celebration, its not like he went on a long tirade screaming at everyone. I can't understand it at all, but then we do tend to communicate in insults and swearing over here.

As for the leaving early...I have done on occasion....
Those occasions where I was parked miles away, wanted to get a head start and beat the rush...and we were 5-0 down away from home

I did it once but it was a League of Ireland match so I don't think it counts as actual football. I also had the excuse of my mate wanted to get out early for one of his reasons that no one but him ever understands.
Also.....

What is SME? Swedish MILF Enclave? I like the sound of that actually...
To be honest you might be better off not watching the video. I've watched it 4 times and I still don't know if I'm aroused or amused. Yet its still football related...

Damn the SME. It clearly means Sexy Mick's Enemies. Because the best way to describe the clip is probably Mick McCarthy being sexy.....Overly sexy.

It's inspired I'd have to say.
Drogba: ah...hazy memory at work again. It's true that a lot isn't set in concrete as it were, and that's part of the problem with the whole disciplinary measures. I think they're going to do more on the Respect campaign next season (again).
In general though, the FA sure has been strict regarding comments made about referees this season. Maybe clubs should consider trying to have prepared promos rather than the media conducting interviews.

Did anyone else become kinda gay after watching it?
I don't think they are allowed to OBaka. I just watched Sir Alex do his champions league press conference and it was announced 3 times that he wouldn't be taking any questions on anything other than the match. Guess what the first 3 or 4 questions were. Rooney has appealed his ban now too. Hearing is tomorrow but how can they do that on the day we have a match? Would Thursday not be better?
On a side note how come the first 2 letters of your name are capitol OBaka? Its like its half Irish and half Japanese or something.

I think I switched tabs after the third repetition. It felt...strange to watch it all the way through methinks.
Japanese. 'O' is a prefix signifying politeness, 'Sama' is a suffix meaning something like lord, and 'Baka' is idiot. I am literally (something along the lines of) the honorable lord of idiots. Partially inspired by a favourite manga/anime (though the two are quite different storywise) called Excel Saga. I believe the name suits me well enough.
Yeah, I have heard that it is mandatory for the clubs to speak to the media after a game; which is why Phelan speaks for Ferguson on the BBC after Ferguson's boycott.
The media tends to ignore those sort of conditions as to what can or can be asked I presume; partially because the other things may seem more interesting.
As for Rooney's appeal...let's see how that goes. It would seem that Gordon Taylor wants clarification on the issue; certainly he brings up the point about consistency.

Spurs down 2-0, they're in big trouble.
Won't be easy for them to get back in this match with one man down.
