Druss, given that you dislike both the managers in the Real and Spurs tie, good result?

Yes and no. The look on Redknapps face was priceless but he has two ready made excuses which he is currently belting out on sky.

is it just me, or do the fa even know what the heck they are doing?
saw the tackle, well, as a neutral (and someone who doesn't know the history of these two players/ teams, it is crazy to think he got away with that. the malicous intent was definately there)
drogba got a four match ban uefa for that incident. that match was very fishy, because some obvious calls against barca were not called.
lol, Mick McCarthy just has the dreamiest eyes! and obaka, that is a really cool meaning behind the name, props to druss for asking
and about inter, did anyone see their match against milan? (meant to bring it up sooner actually) milan dominated that match. the final was 3 nill, but if robinho had been on form, it could have been 5,6 nill. (credit to ceasar though, cause he had some great saves. milan did not look anything special, but inter could just not hold the ball. it might have carried over to the shalke match. anybody eyeing a madrid barca face off? its huge for both teams, but barca look like they have la liga in the bag.

I'm not making excuses for the guy, far from it theres things he has done that he should be punished for. He is an absolute moron and drags our club through the mud with his antics. My problem is with the outrage and punishment.
It was the same when Adebayor was taking massive abuse from Arsenal fans(he played for them and left for Man City) he scored against them then ran up and celebrated infront of the fans who were abusing him. He got punished but I can't recall if it was a ban or not. What for though? He has to take constant abuse but people in the stands are so precious that they can't take him giving a bit back? Quite frankly with that attitude they shouldn't be let out of the house, its almost bullying. Its the same with this Rooney thing to me, the fake outrage and demands from the media to punish him. Why? He is taking far worse abuse than what he said and its all picked up on camera. Players can clearly be seen swearing all the time, James Beattie was aparently picked up swearing too on Saturday, wheres the outrage? There is none because he isn't Wayne Rooney. The FA should just admit they are run by the media. Spineless tw@ts.
I'm not saying he didn't do anything wrong either, he clearly did. I just feel a two match ban is a complete joke.
Admit it your going to be up dreaming about Mick McCarthy tonight, aren't you?
I saw the start of the Milan derby but wound up getting distracted by something. I only remember the very early first goal. Inter aren't having the best of weeks. Hopefully we can continue Chelsea's bad week on Wednesday night.
Mate who's a Spurs fan text me and said if he had the choice Harry would be sacked after that shambles, the red card is no excuse and they were clearly sent out unprepared and unready for Real Madrid.

i remember that adebayor incident, and it could have ended really bad actually. those fans probably felt really angry and betrayed or something, and adebayor ran the length of the pitch to get there! looking back you know, what if they had charged the field? also, why would they be angry if adebayor's move to man city was actually a good thing for them?
and about rooney getting the match bans and the fa, it just seems that they are not fair enough with their punishments. like you say, they fine someone here or there, but they don't have a fair and balanced track record of doing what needs to be done.
you know druss, i think it will either be sweet dreams or one of those restless nights thinking about mickey tonigt! lol XD
yup, milan scored right off in the first minute. inter just did not show up that day. ohhh, just looked it up, its chelsea and man u tomorrow! should be a good one.
harry redknapp did not field a full strength squad?! well, thats dissappointing, partially becasue the spurs haven't looked all too bad, and partially because madrid haven't even played that well! (they lack good teamwork) time to check out the highlights

The Adebayor incident was ridiculous, they could have invaded the pitch? Why? Thats whats wrong with society its full of self righteous b*tches like that who can give it but can't take it. If your going to abuse someone like that then expect to take a bit back, anyone in their right mind would just laugh it off as "bah he got us" not start a riot. If I kick someone then I fully expect they are going to kick me back, I'd have absolutely no right to act surprised or indignant when they do. People hurling abuse at footballers are no different.
I now start my day with a few watches of Sexy Mick, it makes me feel sexy by association.
Nah Harry fielded a mostly full strength but as per usual failed to prepare them tactically hoping that having spent all that money on experienced players they would sort themselves out, which is why they keep losing against the big teams. Lennon got injured in the warm up or something so had to be replaced. They then claimed thats what caused Jena's who replaced him to be marking Adebayor, how the f*ck does that work? Was Lennon the shortest player on the pitch going to be marking Adebayor? Seriously? Redknapp has his son in the media making excuses for him, it sickens me.

hehe....great point there Druss. It's slightly connected, but I recall fondly once when I was a Norwich game, for weeks the fans had been giving Fleck abuse for being fat and not scoring (yes I know I'm going back a while lmao)....
Anyway...this particualrly day when I was there...he scored a scorcher (and had lost weight)...he ran to the Barclay end while we cheered , and gave us all the finger (which produced a bigger cheer) lmao......good times

What kind of brain dead simpleton would start a riot because someone they had been abusing relentlessly decided to give a bit back? If you honestly think like that you should probably be put out of your misery because your going to have one hell of a tough life. I tell you when I take over the world things will change...

lol I'm sure you could take over the world by showing everyone the Mick McCarthy vid Druss, if that doesn't convert anyone nothing will.
As for Rooney well like everyone the swearing can occur spur of the moment and happens a lot of the time on and off the pitch between players. Fans who go to games have a sort of entitlement to say and chant anything they like cause they paid to get in and if they don't like whichever (player, team, the game etc) they'll take it upon themselves to entertain themselves, this happened when I went to a Wigan game and needless to say it was awful but fans were just happy to chant a way even though their team are doing balls and me and my mate joined in as well for a bit.
Utd/Chelsea later Druss. Any thoughts on tonight?

I dunno if I can ever watch Wolves again knowing that the sexiest man alive is prowling the sidelines like a sexual tiger.
I dunno about tonight, every time I think that we could have a midfield of Scholes, Carrick and Gibson I end up needing to go sit on the toilet. Scholes was a great player but he is a liability in big games and quite frankly scares me, Carrick is decent but disapears too often in big games and the other one is Darron Gibson. Hopefully Fletcher, Anderson and Park are all fit to play. I think it will be a tight cagey affair with us playing one up front, probably Rooney with Valencia and either Park or Nani on the left. If Park isn't on the left I expect him to be playing just off the front and basically harrassing deep lying midfielders and defenders. He is a very underrated player. Either way tighter than a nuns fun pocket.
This made me smile. It made me smile alot. Note the difference between Harry's version and Lennons. Note the difference between Harry's first statement and his second too.

How could it come as a surprise to 'Arry when Leannon said that he had been ill all weekend? The plot thickens.

As for Spurs well it kind of clarifies itself given how the manager spews his usual drivel and absolves himself from any kind of responsibility.

I think it will be cagey Bozorgmehr but if United try to sit back and soak up pressure I think we will get beat. Sir Alex will look to attack without going gung ho for the first 20 minutes and see how it goes I think.
You serious Natt? What height is he? Maybe its because he is often next to Crouch makes him look shorter.

Uniteds team - Van der Sar, Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Rafael, Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Park, Hernandez and Rooney. Looks like 4-4-2, 4-4-1-1 or 4-5-1.

I saw that Holt signed a new contract with Norwich. Also bizarrely QPR's hearing is just before the final round of matches. Will a decision be made on that day? What if its not? What if it is and then appealed? It could go on all summer not knowing if they have been docked points or not.

Looking at our team though Sparroww it doesn't look like its set out to sit back. I think Hernandez being in the team is a clear sign of attacking intent, why play him if he isn't going to get any service? He's not the finished article outside the box yet. I worry about Rafael's temperament in these games.

You could be right though regards to attacking, if anything Chelsea might well play defense for most of the game.
