That wasn't a 3-0 game. Swansea is a hard place to get a result though and I don't think it will end up being a massive set back.

Good result for Swansea, deadlocked with Cardiff for the moment 1 pt underneath Norwich. Norwich could do with the QPR 10 point deduction right now surely.

Just read this on Sky Sports Sparroww. Look about halfway down the page in the section about Raul, claims that we have already agreed a deal for De Gea...

Just read it now Druss, and wow Atletico's cleaning house or what? Wasn't even aware he was on the radar though there seem to be other issues regarding his move i.e doesn't want to leave Spain.

He is one of the keepers that gets mentioned alot but I don't know alot about him to be honest. If Athletico are selling then I wouldn't mind Forlan coming back. Buffon is available on a free transfer I hear, surprised there hasn't been more talk of that, though he does have some back problems.

Hm...transfer speculation is always fun to play.

Will be looking forward to team X's fans stating that if they buy so-and-so then they will win the league (even though they've haven't won the league for years or never won it before).

Who could you possibly be referring to OBaka? lol. Do they wear red and haven't won the league in over 20 years?

I would actually like to see Kuzcak or however his name is spelt given a chance, I can't remember him ever letting us down when given a chance. Sir Alex must have seen something he doesn't like about him.

Just watching the highlights on Irish tv here, Berbatov's goal could well have been offside, it was hard to tell. Anderson might have had a couple, he was playing right in behind Berbatov it seems.

Money to spend on other keepers it would seem. He's alright IMO, although curious how he peforms if given a regular role in the team.

Yay 'Arry is trying to tap our players up through the media now too. He sees Smalling coming through and is trying to use the media to tap up Rio. Also I interpreted the end of this as "please bring in experienced players because I'm crap at coaching."

Mad Jens Lehmann is starting for Arsenal today, hopefully he gets up to something mental.

I wasn't referring to anyone in particular, Druss, honest. *Cough*

Goalkeepers are probably the hardest positions to fill. A good keeper will almost always play, leaving little playing time for their understudies; and partly I would imagine so the defence isn't disrupted. Regular playing time is necessary as many a player would point out. Sturridge has been doing pretty well at Bolton since his loan move.

Lehmann starting? Hm...I bet things are really cordial between he and Almunia.

EDIT: interesting that Blackpool still manages to score actually.

I'll choose to believe you OBaka ;)

Yeah your right, look at how long it took us to replace Schmeichel, I fear a repeat of that scenario.

Looks like Arsenal are getting an american owner. Will be interesting to see if things change for them.

Quality result tonight for United, missed the first half (and Chicarito's goal) but caught the second half which was pretty cool. Also Giggs and Park on form tonight again as well I thought, we were definitely on another league than Chelsea tonight.

If Drogba had started that could have been a very different result Sparroww. There was a spell where we were pinned back in the first half and if Drogba had been on then things could have gone badly. But £50m to blunt your attack and cost you your Champions League chances doesn't seem like the best of deals to me...

Giggs and Carrick were excellent for us, Park was brilliant when we didn't have the ball but was a bit clumsy and didn't seem confident in posession. Rooney was excellent at times but gave the ball away a bit too much for my liking. Nani was fantastic throughout.

Yeah Ancelotti insists on having Torres starting simply cause he's 50 mil (whatever) investment when Drogba has been Chelsea's ace the last couple years. Definitely changed it up for them when he came on, not surprisingly there's already rumors 'bout Chelsea wanting to ditch Torres this summer.

Pretty much a solid performance, Schalke/Inter is going to be interesting indeed.

I wonder if it is actually Abramovich who insists on that Torres is starting.

It could well be Natt. At the same time I wouldn't be surprised if its Ancelotti making the call afterall its quite difficult to drop a player you just spent £50m on. If Torres had scored tonight then all would have been forgiven, alas he was crap.

I'd have settled for us getting to the semi's at the start of the season, I think we can beat Schalke or Inter but I'm happy enough with a semi final place and eliminating Chelsea.

Jamie Redknapp is almost as infuriating as Harry. He is almost singlehandedly ruining my enjoyment of this win.

why did chelsea buy torres though in the first place? you would think that the £50 million were burning a hole in their pockets. they should have spent that money scouting and developing some good players for a couple years time from now. also, they already have drogba, malouda and anelka.

It probably seemed like a good idea at the time and they felt it was the best time to sign him while he wanted out. Who knows, no one even knows who is signing the players at Chelsea or how much power people like John Terry have.

Hm...I'm starting to have disturbing mental images of the Chelsea flower show now....

Good result for Man Utd.

Torres...well...you have to admit that Liverpool got a cracking deal on that transfer. £50 million for a player whose last decent game was...goodness knows when.

That explains the constant failure outside of England and being thought of as rich scum within England then Auto.

Do we want to know about your flower show images OBaka?

Graham Souness made a point during the match last night that Torres' couldn't even score during the world cup when being supplied by Xavi, Iniesta and Alonso so how is he supposed to score with Chelsea's midfield behind him?

Anyone see the Spurs match? They really should have had two first half penalties. Gomes blunder was ridiculous though, he is a great keeper most of the time but his blunders are spectacular when they happen.

Damn it I tried to avoid thinking about it until he clarified, but OBaka has given me the disturbing mental images now too.

Yeah they do Natt. Um I don't know a whole lot about Schalke, I haven't seen them play this season but I understand they aren't doing too well in the league. I think United can beat them as we are on good form at the minute. I would have been happy with a semi-final place at the start of the season though so won't be too upset if we do go out.
