about berbatov: it may be his style that gets people angry. he kind of hangs out in the box, doesn't really drop back too much, unlike someone like rooney, who you'll see playing midfielder sometimes. however, when he gets the ball, he knows what to do with it.

they vote for the pfa awards in february? well, you still have a lot of football to be played then. march and april can have some decisive matches in there.

well, i'm a neutral when it comes to supporting a club. its not a big deal to me who wins or loses the title/cup ...except in international competitions!

well, i think we are onto something here with the big brother! for the manager's edition, could you imagine the volatility when the ref shows up?! or some of the tasks for the players which forces some rivals to work together or something! if the execs and producers aren't reading this, i think we should go pitch it to them! (it would all be for charity, of course)

its funny how that lady did not want to disrespect the missus by sleeping in her bed, maybe she meant disrespect her more the necessary? ahhh, footballers who cheat on their wives, you know, maybe we should have some of the wives enter the house, so we can all watch the footballers get a real earful lol. and their is no shortage of couples either, have your pick :)

Berbatov doesn't need to chase players like Rooney does, hes not fast enough and he isn't that sort of player. He does his share of tracking back, he also routinely clears opposition corners and freekicks by winning the ball in the air but gets no praise for it. Rooneys wandering isn't always a good thing but the media will never say that, hes a genius and Berbatov is lazy. Which is just lazy journalism as per usual, the problem is half our fans are spoilt glory hunters who know nothing about football and if your not being constantly praised in the media then your sh*t and shouldn't be at the club. Berbatov has done well for us and is still one of the best strikers in the league, but most of the cretins that support United will never see it.

The general opinion amongst the Man United fans in Sweden is that Berbatov is too slow and that is the reason he missed the sitters against City, also he can only score goals if it is on Old Trafford and against weak teams.

They don't hold him in a very high regard either.
I wouldn't mind seing him in Newcastle though, he's a better version of Ameobi. :P ;)

I don't see how being quicker would have helped him against City, the first was a great save and the second was an awkward one that bounced just as it came to him, we've all missed them. He is slow but he always has been its no big shocker, he holds the ball up well and links the play thats what he was signed for. The only complaint I have about him is that for all the headers he wins he rarely seems to score with them.

We play a slightly different system away from home that hasn't exactly been working out brilliantly this season, so its not just Berbatov who doesn't perform away from home. I feel he gets unfairly blamed for alot of the teams faults. Like all the talk of him being sold after saturday. Why? Who actually did play well for us? Nani in spells and thats it. Valencia was abysmal in the second half.

Wait til he comes off the bench and scores the winner tonight Natt. Then the upper hand will be on the other foot and the wrong side of your face!

For United Berbatov is overshadowed in the media by the likes of Rooney and to some extent Hernandez, and in honesty Berba has had his best season with us this year while you had Rooney messing about and threatning to sign with Chelsea which was cleared up and sorted out around December.

Rooney's had the attention of the media for years and nothing really changed that whether the guy plays for Utd or not, people would be quick to dismiss him as a player if he's playing terrible or something else off-pitch. The hat trick the other week and the bicycle kick months ago means people are back on the Rooney bandwagon and players like Berbatov get the short end of it.

Berbatov's hattrick against the scum has been the highlight of the season so far. If Rooney had scored that then the English media would have carved an image of it onto the moon for the world to see.

Also that woman on Sky Sports News would seriously need to stop giving me the eye. The dirty minx.

Since the media focus is on Rooney it might have helped Berbatov somewhat as he can get on with playing football. I guess I have the Giggs/Beckham situation in mind as a parallel. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Rooney likes to score against Newcastle, so it is very likely that he'll end up scoring today.

And I agree on Berbatov's two misses, it happens to everyone. Heck it happens to me every Friday, :pinched: fortunetly though we just play for fun.

I saw Georgie with no make up on last week Auto, it was frightening and I died a bit inside. Its neither of them though, its Rachel the Irish one. She makes my pants feel like they have stars in them...

Stephen Ireland is set to make his debut for Newcastle tonight, it will be interesting to see how he does as sometimes he seems a good player and sometimes he seems like it would be best if we all just pretended he didn't exist.

The trick is Natt to always have an excuse ready for your miss or to deflect attention to something else. I used to limp away as if I'd pulled something after embarrassing misses.

Good point OBaka, but I think Berbatov is one of those players who needs to feel loved and wanted like he is the main man. His form has suffered since Rooney came back into form.

very true. mourinho does it all the time, saying all the crazy stuff so the media focuses on him and his players can just worry about playing. about giggs and beckham, did beckham get all the attention and giggs was kind of just allowed to play? i have always kind of liked giggs for some reason, and i think he is innately just a good person. it would be nice if hernandez would look to him as a role model. (lol i sure as heck would, and probably annoy him by always asking him if he wants to go to the pub :)

Psshh your as bad as my mate who prefers that big tall woman who's face doesn't really fit her head. You ever notice they will let two men host but not two women? I think its incase a cat fight ensues before the water shed. I'd like to know where this water shed place is actually because alot of stuff seems to go on there.

Mourinho uses those tactics because he wants attention. Beckham got all the attention and wanted all the attention. Giggs and Lee Sharpe had it before Beckham but Giggs never seemed to crave it like the other two, theres stories of parties and pj's and Danni Behr if I recall correctly.

Aaahh Sharpey, the original Gareth Bale. What might have been....

LOL druss, replay....button.....broken! oh my god, all the videos are cut to have hayley mcqueen! there was one titled, "hayley mcqueen looking fine"....and she certainly was XD. ahhh good times.

ok, completely random question. are you guys getting completely inundated with the royal wedding? i am across the pond, and it seems that everywhere you look, royal wedding, royal wedding, and more about the royal wedding! it is probably much worse over there.

to keep this post football related, here is a goal

LMAO at keeping it on topic. Technically Hayley McQueen is on topic as her dad played for Man United and she used to host MUTV. She's ok but I still prefer Rachel, Alex Hammond isn't bad either. How did you end up at Hayley? You dirty git lol. I loved the goal too.

I've seen a bit about the RW but haven't paid much attention really. I think alot of places are taking the day off here because of it, opportunists. It got on my nerves when SSN ran a story that David Beckham will miss the wedding. Like thats sports news?

Speaking of Mourinho, I would love to see Real finish with 11 men tomorrow night and still get an utter tonking from Barca and Mourinho to be sacked as a result.

Seperate paragraphs Auto. Seperate paragraphs.... Keep up with my subject hopping shenanigans. Though if it got him a bit more attention I've no doubt Mourinho would use two tall women as a tactic. One on each fullback because they are small and poor in the air.

I think Mourinho is the only manager / coach who might stop or disrupt Barca's well-oiled machine. He did so with Inter last year (don't ask how). He might do it again - though I hope not :)

I doubt he will get the sack if Real loses, but he said he'll leave Madrid at the end of the season anyway. Returning to Chelsea me thinks.

And it has only taken Ireland around three months to make his debut...

I ran out of excuses a long time ago, if the goal is wide open though I blame it on that. It makes me focus too much on not to miss the goal instead of just hitting the ball..

You could try the old "I thought I heard the whistle/I thought it was a freekick" trick that I occassionally utilized. I never perfected it but I'm willing to let you adopt it and make it your own Natt. I never could think up a valid reason why if I thought it was a freekick I belted it into the carpark anyway other than "Its what I do..."

Whats this if theres one coach that can beat Barca its Mourinho business? He got lucky once, he's no tactical genius he just parked the bus and hoped for the best.

The only reason to tune in to Big Brother Football Manager Edition....
