Or I could stop sneaking into the box, that would be a lot easier.

Almost time for the match, may the best team win Druss, Sparrow.

If I'll have any comments on the match it won't be until tomorrow, see ya all.

Then you don't know how these forums work. Bioware will anounce a character or one will pop up in the background of a screenshot and next thing you know theres a whole bunch of people looking to "romance" it.

If Bioware anounced a lampost as squadmate for ME3 there would be a bunch of people campaigning for it to be shaggable.

From another topic, classic Druss.

Ok have a good one Natt, if Newcastle win don't come back for a week or we shall tear you limb from limb.

Are you knocking either the woman from SSN or Big Mick, Sparroww? I shall have none of it!

Out of those two there's only one that I'd knock. =)

Anyway back to football, witness the greatest People's eyebrow!

Aye I can tell Big Mick wooed you.

Newcastle are all over us here and we are just about weathering the storm.

Ancelotti does that so much I've been convinced thats just the way his face always is.

He's a natural I'll give him that.

Also it's only right Rooney scores against Newcastle tonight, Hernandez ain't doing too bad at the moment either.

All this time I didn't even realise he was checking people into the smackdown hotel.

United would need to step it up a gear in the second half, we have been fairly sloppy so far.

Bah we were our usual away from home selves tonight. Lacking creativity and not creating a whole lot. Giggs missed a sitter and we would have had a penalty had Hernandez not decided he needed to sell it, if he had kept running he would have went over Simpsons leg anyway. He cost himself a penalty with his theatrics and was rightly booked. Could have conceded a penalty too.

Surprise surprise Berbatov didn't even make the bench tonight.

Thought we had a good start tonight and we got sloppier the longer the match went on IMO, Hernandez's dive was sort of unnecessary I suppose, Newcastle fans booing Owen was strange as I wasn't aware he was such a key player during his time there.

Reminds me of a Manchester derby game at Old Trafford and they booed Tevez even though it was our club's fault Tevez left in the first place.

Draw's a fair result either way, keeps Arsenals 'chase' interesting.

How do you work out it was our clubs fault? It was Tevez' fault that he left, he already had that deal with City done before he started making noises, you could see through his lies a mile away and we were never going to fork out for him, Rooney and Berbatov. You missed the Tevez discussion from a couple of months ago lol.

Think they were calling Owen a mercenary but I'm not sure. I can't even really recall his time at Newcastle to be honest.

Newcastle deserved their point. Thats the second booking Hernandez has got for diving this season, if he had just fallen properly instead of that frog splash he attempted we probably would have got a penalty.

I think because Tevez was making noises about moving meant that United gave up on him and let him go anyway, this was a couple years ago and thought we should've at least kept hold of him especially after losing Ronaldo the year before and Berba didn't impress me after his first season.

Fast-forward 2 years and me and my mates still talk about the Tevez situaation, I'd blame it on too many pints and other assorted cheap drinks affecting my memory of what happened lol either way my perspective has changed.

Owen was injured for a while IIRC at Newcastle so I wouldn't be surprised if anyone remembered he was there.

Owens been injured everywhere lol. Is his contract up in the summer? Wonder if he will get a new one with Macheda, Diouf and Welbeck all possibly returning.

Tevez has a history of doing exactly what he did at United at every club he has been at. Engineering a move then claiming he doesn't want to go and loves the fans but is being forced out by management. He didn't do a whole lot in his second season either, I can remember quite a few games where he was frankly awful, he simply wasn't worth the money at the time even if he hadn't already signed for City.

I'll be honest Druss I don't remember the Tevez situation that well, wasn't as into football then until the start of 2010 so it's a bit of a hazy memory so I appear to be wrong which I'll admit.

Reckon Owen will get picked by another team, maybe Villa or somewhere close to home. I would think that United will let him go and he'll want to leave anyway me thinks. Aren't Macheda and Wellbeck on-loan at the moment?

Crikey....it's almost as as if no one wants wants to win the EPL this season lol

And we all know that "King Kenny" will bring the messiah back to Anfield and that it will then be 'their year' roflmao

Trust me Sparroww, getting rid of Tevez was a blessing in disguise. ;)

Welbeck is at Sunderland and Macheda is at Sampdoria but I dunno if he is getting on or not. I've never been particularly impressed by Macheda but he is very young. I'm interested to see what impact Cleverly has next year, you seen much of him? He looks a good prospect.

Oh aye Auto, did you not hear? Parking the bus against a team that is refusing to push any players into your penalty area and hasn't scored at home in its last two matches is a sign that your back in the big time.

Well Everton's goal is to at least finish above Liverpool by the end of the season, which I definitely want to see just for the Anfield reaction come final game.

I've seen Macheda come on as a sub for us some time before Christmas and he worked pretty well for the remainder as a winger with Nani covering the other side, not a bad player.

And just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water...

...it's enough to get frightened about.

Well we have Everton on saturday so it might be a bit of a conflict of interests for you lol. Think its a morning game. I wonder if Berbatov had taken a knock tonight because he traveled with the team, he seemed to hurt his ankle on Saturday but it was right after his second miss so he might have been doing my patented "I missed because I'm hurt" trick.

I think Macheda lacks the pace that Welbeck has and doesn't have the guile or experience to make up for it the way Berbatov does so he might go out on loan again next year.

Haha I saw the frightened one earlier. I think his greyhound got loose and frightened him.

I think we were lucky with that point, Hernandez and Giggs both missed sitters plus Man United had two shouts for a penalty (the shot that hit Tioté's arm and as already mentioned, Hernandez' booking).

It is a well needed point and I'm happy to take it.

During the relegation season Owen didn't show any interest at all when he played, was nowhere to be seen and kept hiding from the ball.
I think he went to hiding because he was afraid to get injured and that would have made it harder for him to find a club once he left Newcastle.
Hiding or not, during that season he was awful just like everyone else.

I think the Tiote penalty would have been harsh, it was fairly close to him and its hard to move like that with your hands at your side. He was taking a risk and it could have been given but I think it would have been harsh. If Berbatov missed those sitters we would be hearing alot more about them.

Isn't that how Owen always plays? He hasn't exactly been brilliant for us but I suspect he might have a big goal in him.

I find it strange the FA haven't charged Redknapp for basically implying that Stoke might throw a game if the dates aren't changed. Be a different story if Sir Alex or Wenger said that...

I do feel a little sorry for Owen as he's been unlucky enough to be plagued by injuries that have drastically affected the way he plays, not sure if other clubs would want him or not tbh signing for us last season was totally out of left field.

I always suspected Sir Alex signed him because he wanted someone to talk about horses with and has been lonely with no one to send to the bookies for him since Kieth Gillespie left.

I think you're on the right track Druss, in this case the horse racing track.

Well it explains alot. Why we signed him and what he is up to when he is neither playing nor injured? He doesn't even play for the reserves between his appearances every three months. So Sir Alex is probably keeping him fit by sending him to the bookies and to pick up his copy of the racing post.

I think I recall from somewhere that Owen was offered a move somewhere and part of the deal was he'd get a racehorse. Interesting way to tempt a player. Actually if that applied to other interests....

In terms of his ability Owen just isn't the player he was because of all the injuries. Hargreaves would come under that category as well I'd imagine. It would look like there could be a few changes a-coming.

EDIT: oh yeah, the Ancelotti eyebrow puts the Rock's to shame. Now if only we could have conferences like wrestling promos.
