I think Owens problem is that the injuries have been to his hamstrings which has robbed him of his pace and that was his main asset. Giggs said he hasn't been able to properly sprint in years because of his hamstrings, so I'd imagine its the same deal with Owen.
Spurs - Arsenal is 1-1 after 7 minutes. I'm tempted to watch the United - Chelsea youth cup match instead though simply because Gary Neville is commentating.

Hehe...the difference there though Druss is that Giggs is actually good and never really relied on his pace to begin with.

Sort of reminds me of Sheringham in a way. I think he said that he wasn't worried about losing pace as he got older as he was never quick to begin with.
Giggs is just good with pace being one weapon in his armoury as it were. I.e. I agree.

How funny would be it be if Ipswich beat the Canaries tonight and halt their chances of getting back to 2nd place?

You really are poking the hornets nest with that one lol. I hear Grant Holt is a doubt for tonight.
I hear United supporters groups are demanding the Glazers lower ticket costs. Lower ticket costs and spend more on players, quite the winning combination of demands we have going on there.

I've every faith Norwich are able to get promoted either way, just the irony of tonight would be something lol not trying to ruffle any (canaries') feathers.
Ah yes United supporters, expect more from their club but think they're entitled to cheaper tickets we have dismissed those claims. But seriously I think that's been a 'complaint' for a while.
Reminds me of this team.

Well United are the biggest team in the land so its kind of expected you will pay more than going to see smaller teams like Blackburn or Liverpool. We are also in debt so why would we lower ticket prices? Thats strange logic to me.
It all reminds me of a couple of seasons ago those fan groups that were making statements on the news and stuff about how we had £80m from the Ronaldo deal and £25m that we get every year so we should be spending £100m on a player just because. Despite the fact we were top of the league and in all the cups at the time.
Haha FCUM lets never speak of them again. File them away with Highlander 2 and the Garfield movie.

Hey...the Garfield was great.....for Bill Murray and Jennefier Love Hewit (just me thinks she was HOT in that?).
Admittedly...other than those two redeeming features...it did suck lizard eggs.

I know what you mean Druss regarding the fans' opinions, was at a meeting of sorts that was like a public forum for the start of the new Chester City club and we walked out after 30 minutes simply because of the so-called opinions of each person in that room it was chaos.
lol at that brochure Natt, seemed like Owen really didn't want to return to the magpies. =P

JLH is hot in everything I thought that went unsaid Auto....
LMAO I vaguely remember seeing the start of the brochure a few years ago, I thought it was only a couple of pages. Page 12 is the highlight, I nearly spat out my water when I saw the first words on the list. I'm not even sure what aspirational is either.
Why is the Norwich match not on TV? I can't seem to find it on any of the sports channels.
I can see why you would leave Sparroww, the most vocal fans tend to be the most clueless. They will repeatedly shout utter bollocks just to make it look like they have a clue.

Nope, I even checked the BBC channels and can't find it anywhere. The way sky were going on about it all day I assumed it was one of their live matches. I'm surprised too.
Page 18 on that brochure is actually the worst attempt at self promotion I've ever seen. He treated Dean Ashton, Keiron Dyer and Michael Owen and is using this as some sort of proof of his credentials? I'd sooner let Captain Hook perform open surgery on me.

LMA yeah I thought that.....virtually the whole of the the first section on the medical bit is self promotion....when I was reading it I was thinking to myself when is he actually goijg to start talking about Owen lol
And fair enough, only a championship match, but as we pushing for promotion, and it was a derby....surprised they didn't show it.
Not that it matters....battered them 5-1......back into second.....6 points behind QPR

Had to laugh on the Sky Sports site live comentary....
Some smart ass ipswich fan got all prissy and said " lets remember who the only team to score 5 goals is in this derby game".....
That was 5 minutes before we got our fifth roflmao......to which numerous people (myself included) emailed in to point out lol.....

LMAO! You have to love it when that happens. Your quickly becoming the star of the sky sports website lol.
Though its giving me horrible flashbacks to the time I announced rather loudly that I was putting on a goalkeeping master class.....about 12 seconds before I dropped a 30 yard shot through my own legs and into the net. That doesn't adequately describe how bad my "error" actually was.
Puts the pressure on Cardiff another team I wouldn't be too keen on seeing in the PL.

Well...just looking, and for some reason, just realised that QPR play Cardiff on 'saturday'......meaning they both play again on the monday (my birthday btw lol)....so we get an extra 2 days off to recover.....
That really could be decisive. Though I think cardiff will only slip up once (sat), so we really need to win our last 3 games, and they winnable, Derby (H), Pompey (A) and Coventry (H).
Cardiff have QPR, Preston (could be tricky), Middlesborough (should be a banker) and then Burnley (could also be tricky). QPR have Cardiff, Hull, Watford and Leeds.....you never know....they might fall at the final hurdle....their last three games are not foregone conclusions.
I'm certainly hopeful after tonight we can finish it off now, we certainly have the easiest run in. (on paper)
