That was a hard fought win today and I have to yet again question the point of Darron Gibson. Anderson was probably the best player on the pitch but Gibson was woeful, he did nothing. We really need to sign a creative midfielder and/or a left winger. When Nani isn't on form we look a bit toothless in attack. Rooney finished the game in central midfield I wonder if thats a sign of things to come.

Anyone notice Liverpool have improved immensely since Gerrard got injured? I reckon they will return to form when he comes back and they have to shift everyone else around to find a position where he isn't inept.

I suppose ManU had the best team on the field?

I'm just asking because of the upcoming CL match. Schalke lost today 0-1 against Kaiserslautern, however they nominated a B-team. They've nothing to gain or lose in the league anymore, and lots of regulars didn't play at all, or were substituted late in the game.

Its all coming together nicely Auto. Just need West Ham to hold Chelsea tonight, a result I have no faith in but who knows? Theres going to be a few weak teams left at the end of the season so whoever comes up has a fair chance of staying up I reckon.

United were the better team Merci but Everton never really looked to attack, they defended well though. United rested a few players too and made hard work of the match when it could have been over before half time. I'd expect a tight match on Tuesday and I think Hernandez may have picked up a knock as he went over on his ankle at one point today.

Hey...the way Chelsea play....West Ham could just upset them tonight lol...

And yeah I would go along with that. If the table stays at is right now...I would say there was about 5 teams (above the relegations zone) that are currently on a par with the best in the Championship

Aye that sounds about right and theres a few more that if they don't invest heavily and pick up a couple of key injuries could easily be dragged down aswell. Next could be even tighter than this year at the bottom and it no longer looks like the promoted teams are automatic favourites to go down.

'Tis an interesting season to be sure. Man Utd's perseverance paid off, though I think we've come to expect that when there are a few games left and they're top of the league.

As you said earlier, Druss, the run-in really does start now. A couple of tough games for your team, so let's see how they handle the games. Man Utd have found some form.

And about form...Torres finally scores for Chelsea. If I was to be unfair I would say that the pressure was off him as Chelsea were leading at the time, which might have helped him psychologically. And boy...the pitch was wet in that game.

And Norwich. Well, I'm chuffed about the derby win. The results were good for us too. That we've beaten Ipswich and will finish above them has already made it a good season as far as I am concerned. Promotion would be icing on the cake (though still somewhat ambivalent about that prospect).

Also....Leeds are currently out of the top six. Good news, Druss?

Tis good news indeed OBaka. Its making me want to send a text gloating and laughing but I won't sink to that level.

I think United have actually gone off form recently, we have only scored one goal in our last 3 games. We could conceivably still finish as low as third.

When I saw Torres coming on I said to myself he was going to get a lucky break with the wet pitch and put £5 on him to score the next goal. I wouldn't be surprised if thats the only goal he scores between now and the end of the season. His "pass" for Malouda's goal was infact just an awful pass to Anelka.

If the promotion money is spent wisely Norwich have as good a shout as anybody of staying up.

Thats the key I think Druss, I hope the board have realised from other teams, and our own last outing in the Prem, that if we want to stay there, we need to spend some money.

Its hard to find the balance between spending big to stay up and not going overboard.

And Arsenal have fallen behind to a goal from an onloan Chelsea striker. I put some of my Torres winnings on him to score first hehehe. Its a good day in Druss' pocket.

Excellent stuff Druss :)

And yes it is a fine balance, and the money needs to be spent on the 'right' players.

Looks like Arsenal are out of the title race now. People can go on about all the great passing football they play but the majority of the time they are frustrating and boring to watch. Today they needed a goal so Van Persie and Walcott were lurking around on the right wing with Nasri, Fabregas, Sanga, Song and Wilshere all standing at the edge of the box. Where the hell do they hope to go with that? When they do send on strikers like Bendtner they play him on the wing. I find them annoying as hell to watch and its boring because you know whats coming.

Arsenal are a frustrating team. I wouldn't be surprised if a mate of mine has ditched his support for them (he was previously a Liverpool fan) for a more successful team.

Here's a question related to Leeds. Sort of.

If you have a derby rival would you rather (A) see them languish in the lower leagues, or (B) have them in the same league just so you can see your team beating them?

Personally I like B; just wondering what your thoughts are as a few of us support teams with an intense derby rival.

I'd go for option A, the FA Cup semi final is still fresh in my memory though.

Hmmm...tough one that....but I'm going to go with lower leagues personally.

Or better still...beat them to send them to the lower leagues hehe.

Either way....4-1 and 5-1 over the tractor boys this season will live long in the memory :)

A derby double is always good. Even better since we only got back into the Championship this season.

liverpool are actually playing better now that gerrard is out. whaaaat?! well, now i have to watch their next game.

hmm, we don't get championship football in the states, maybe they have the highlights online.

they are saying ancelotti might go to madrid, if that happens, chelsea and madrid should just swap managers :) are you guys pumped for the third clasico in very recent history? the last two have been fairly boring affairs, so maybe it will be better.

you know, arsenal's style is not unlike barcelona, except barcelona has players like messi and david villa who hunger and go for that goal. arsenal need that player/s who can get them fired up and wanting to score. they need more confidence to go for it in other words. (Mr. Wenger, my offer is still open :D)

You could try the BBC IPlayer Modjo for Championship highlights....or try skysports website (show highlights of all championship games a couple days after match.

I have the same problem watching Barca - Madrid as I do watching most Mourinho teams. The guy just wants to stifle and bore. Not the kind of matches I enjoy watching.

I more excited by Schalke - United tomorrow night. I reckon it will be a tight but exciting 0-0 draw setting the second leg up nicely. Given how we have played on the road this year I'm not really expecting us to score.

Aye lol. Though to be fair to him every single time I've seen the guy play he has done something stupid so I blame whoever thought it was a good idea to let him hold the cup unsupervised.
