Very true Druss...

As much as it pains me to say, American Football has some very good tech when it comes to stuff like that....

Unfortunately, as much as I can see them wanting to keep football what it always has been (sort of)....this tech should have been used and introduced and constantly evolved the minute football became a business, and no longer a sport.

I still think it will be years before they introduce it. FIFA simply don't want to spend the money.

Rafael Van Der Vaart does not look like a professional footballer, he looks like a small chubby man who plays saturday morning league football. Good player but he looks really unfit. Chelsea are looking better since they took Torres off.

Hmmm....Tottenham.....Van der Vaart.....Sunday League....

Sounds about a correct assumption Druss that to me :P

LOL at the norwich banners! quick question, is there something special about norwich?

about the linesmen, yeah, how the heck do they have their eyes on two separate things at once? the ball and the man? granted, they get it right most of the time, but how they do it seems a mystery. you're right about technology taking years to get implemented into football. when they finally do it, it will have been long overdue. maybe if another league started using it, like the bundesliga or the eredivise, then the premiership will warm up to it.

I've never seen a Norwich fan before this forum...

They get it right most of the time Modjo? lol. Its up to FIFA and UEFA not individual leagues I think.

Chelsea have won 2-1. Want to play guess the controversy with their second goal? I'll give you a clue....linesman.

Is there something....somethign special......MODJO!

We are still the ONLY british team to ever beat the mighty Bayern Munich in the Olympic stadium in Europe :P

well, the linesmen usually get it right more times then not. (feel free to correct me)

really, its up to fifa and uefa to allow replay and technology?! well thats not cool. it would seem easier for a smaller league to start implementing technology in football, since it would not be such a high profile case. maybe they have too much power if they can decide something like that.

was the chelsea match worth watching? its coming on a little later. (don't know why they didn't show it live)

Only worth watching for the controversy. Their first goal didn't cross the line and their second goal Kalou was offside when he scored. Sandro's goal was an absolute ****** too. Neither team played well though. Two linesmen may have just cost Spurs a champions league place.

They are competitions under FIFA, UEFA etc. So I think its up to them if they can bring in technology, they have leeway with some rules but not others if I understand it correctly.

*Ignores Auto's claim to fame and remembers Solskjaer's goal against Bayern in '99*

About Norwich...

Bozorgmehr wrote

To stay with the Norwich example - DA:O vs DA2 is like Man Utd vs Norwich City. Although Norwich will never play football like they do at Utd doesn't mean it can't be fun watching them (the canaries) play.

Norwich Age: Origins? Consider it done rofl.....(want any particular characters on it etc?)

And the Milk Cup?...Hmmm...well....in the English Leagues....it's often referred to as the Mickey Mouse Cup....basically....it's the lame version of the FA cup lol....

Most big teams field their reserves or kids as none of them really take it too seriously, unless they get to the final....

It was too late for me to jump on the bandwagon 29 years ago when I was thrust upon this world and uttered my first words "Whats the score in the United match?" to the doctor. Football teams are for life.

The League Cup is the cup that doesn't matter unless you've just won it. Like that chick that was ugly until she showed an interest in you and now your trying to convince people she is hot.

oh ok, so they save those matches for their reserves. still, a title/cup is something. or should i say, we should be proud of that cup!
