Druss, I think you're right on Liverpool's form and Gerrard being injured. It sort of reminds me of Thierry Henry's last season or so at Arsenal; I think he said in an interview that the team had started to depend on him to the extent that it effected team performance. His leaving Arsenal threw the responsibility back onto the other players to get a result. I think a similar thing is happening with Liverpool at the moment...well...maybe we should take 'moment' the way in which Ancelotti used it.

If they draw and we win....we 3 points ahead, but they have a vastly superior goal difference....our fate is in our hands (forgetting the QPR case)....all we have to do tonight and Saturday is equal or better Cardiff's results and it's job done.....
So, having said all that, come on the Boro!

The Gerrard thing, I think its more that playing him messes up their formation. Meireles seems to be playing alot better in the middle but anytime I've seen him and Gerrard in the same team he has been shunted onto the wing where he is ineffectual and Gerrard simply isn't as good as him in the middle. Plus I still don't think you can trust Gerrard to play as a central midfielder, he is far too self important. Like Paul Ince.
I believe the "next year is our year" shouts actually started back in January when it was decided that Suarez and Carroll are the two best strikers in Europe.

Boro are 2-0 up after 12 minutes. Barry Robson with the second goal. I once managed him, excellent professional....

24 That penalty shout against Robson now looks like a big call. Had that been given, Cardiff would have been right back in this tie. As it is, they need a miracle now to salvage anything from it.
23 What a result this will be for Norwich if Boro can hold on. They now stand on the brink of a return to the Premier League. Cardiff look a million miles away from that level at the moment, as another pass goes astray.
22 Some of the Cardiff fans are leaving already. This is unbelievable. Boro have taken their chances and made the most of the attacks they have launched. Cardiff haven't been able to find a way through

As for the Champs League, be very amazed if Utd and Barca don't get there.

So excited am I about the Portsmouth vs. Norwich game that I am actually listening to it using my Freeview set.
*EDIT* I think it's been an interesting year domestically myself (thinking of the English leagues only), and not just as a Norwich supporter either. As for the Champions League, let's hope that we get a decent game of football.

It has been a good season. Really was unthinkable at the start of the season that we would be chasing promotion; I thought it was one of those good starts to the season that you see promoted teams tend to have and then they fade away. Remarkable that we've managed to be there or thereabouts all season. Guessing there are also a bunch of disgruntled Ipswich fans.
