cheerleaders would not hurt one bit, and hey, maybe they could work to distract the opposing team as well! just think of it, the other team won't be able to concentrate on the match when he has been seduced by one of the cheerleaders! and druss, you can actually go into cheerleading (just search for "male cheerleader" ;)

how were the football matches? unfortunately did not get to see too many, but did get to see liverpool tottenham. pretty entertaining match actually.

hmm, and about salaries getting out of hand, it really does seem that way. signing kids when they are toddlers, paying ridiculous salaries....it is becoming more and more about the money and business then about football. thats why there is such pressure to get results. don't get me wrong, winning is important, but there is more to football (and life) then results and money.

and sparrow, as auto was telling us earlier, we won the milk cup in 1985 if i'm not mistaken! ahhh, what a great year that was! the air was fresher, water purer, music sweeter! lol, of course i wasn't born yet, but it seems like it really was a great year. and don't peg norwich that low juuust yet. its the premiership, yes, and it is very tough, but its not impossible. if norwich play well and play smart, they could end up somewhere in the 10 to 15 spots. now, where is that '85 chardonnay?  :D

You all remember what Real did with the cup? After Ajax won the title here they thought to do the same thing:

OMG, good thing they are soccer players and don't play American sports, because they're hands are horrendous !!

( I like soccer btw, so don't take it as an insult )

Well...going on that line of thought it may explain the shoddiness of some goalkeepers' form this year.

Goalkeeper's have made better saves this season with either their chest or their feet, or in Spurs' Gomez' case the crown jewels.

Loud horn shouldn't do that. A vuvuzela on the other hand....

Oh...reading the speculation for who is in the frame for the vacant manager position at West Ham is...interesting to say the least. Martin O'Neill, who I'm sure rejected the chance back in January, and...Neil Warnock, which would be funny.

Oh...and Neil Warnock's future at QPR. According to reports there is no doubt about his future. I have to admit that I read that differently to how Warnock is reacting....

Well, I think it was just 'there is no doubt'. Warnock thinks he has a job, which he may, but...to me that also suggests that if there is 'no doubt' on their part that could also mean they have already decided on a new manager in which there is no doubt on their part as to what needs to be done.

But yes, Auto, being backed by the board...the kiss of death.

Given all the kerfuffles of late by the FA I get a feeling that press conferences next season are going to be somewhat tamer.

As well as a serious lack of post match interviews outside the dressing room.

If that's the case we're going to need some really entertaining footy matches.

I like when they ask managers about their future obviously they can't come out and say "Aye am getting the boot mate." yet they ask them anyway. Its retarded and why isn't James Richardson on TV anymore? He was great on the Italian football many moons ago.

Where are you? Where are you? Lets be 'avin ya!

If you're Avram Grant then you can legitimately claim not to know at the time, and then get sacked afterwards in the tunnel....

A very good clearance though. I can't help but admire the tenacity of the player who ran back to do that. But yeah, will agree that it should have been scored.

Oh, the whole 'no comment on the ref before a match' thing...I wonder if the FA will start to hand out warnings if managers decide to say something like "I expect the referee will be a human being".

yup, donovan should have put it away, but you have to admire the defender's determination and tenacity. who knows how many defenders would have done the same

hehe....is it safe to assume they will be of this planet? or is that assumption going too far? ;)
