Looks like it is a Newcastle player knocking out the linesman.

That's probably even better than Steven Taylor getting shot on the pitch...

Just to tide things over there's more of Tevez's 'I want to leave to go elsewhere for more money' shenanigans. He keeps on mentioning how things are difficult for his family but never goes home. And returning to Boca Jrs. (a dream move) is a no-no because they can't afford him. *Shakes head*

Aye OBaka, remember last time he wanted to be closer to his daughters and moved across Manchester? Really shortened the journey that did.

Interesting that the PL aren't planning on charging us for fielding a weakened team the same way they did to Wolves and Blackpool. Once again they pick and choose when to enforce each rule, you simply can't run a professional sport like that.

Bloody hell the off-topic has become a nightmare with all the Witcher threads. It looks good but people need to calm down seriously.

And also goes to justify a lot of the big team (especially Man Utd) hate.....

Can you blame people for saying that teams like Utd get favouritism?

Indeed Auto. In a world that makes sense managers would be able to pick their own teams without the PL telling them who is good enough and who isn't. But now that they have hit two teams with it then surely they have to hit everyone. Are they saying our reserves are better than Blackpools so it doesn't count?

I saw Scudamore earlier saying that it was because they changed their team for one match then changed it back for the next and thats wrong. Its the managers decision, thats what he is paid for and is under enough pressure without them sticking their noses in.

More annoyingly....I agree with oli's statement...

You have to give the EPL a list of 22 players who believe it or not...you can...play lol....

Crazy....makes a mockery of the whole thing.

That whole thing was daft concerning the 'changing' of the team. I mean really, choosing who doesn't play and who does for what games are as much as part of the tactics as the stuff on the pitch. Seriously, they really need to brush up on the Art of War.

Never agreed with Wolves and Blackpool being punished. Why bother registering a squad if you can't use that squad in the manner you want?

That does remind me that a few seasons ago Man Utd played with a weakened squad (I think it's the year when Sheffield United got relegated during the West Ham/Tevez kerfuffle), and Warnock (or someone) said that they'd sue (probably Warnock) if Man Utd lost the game and they went down. If I recall, Man Utd went ahead and won the game with the weakened team and there was no lawsuit. So...we just expect certain results do we? They should have sued on the principle that a weakened was fielded not on the results; at least they would be seen to have more integrity.

Just admit you find Ollie to be a visionary. He hit the nail on the head though, the PL opened a can of worms when they charged those two and now rules is rules. They seem to have done alot of that this season between the PL and the FA. If they would stop being so stupidly reactionary and going by how loud the media cry about things then they might get somewhere. Wolves got charged because they made the changes against us which got more attention than most.

You sure we won that game OBaka? I know Tevez scored for West Ham and I think they won but I'm not 100% sure on that. I think Sheffield United just needed a point at home to stay up, can't recall who they were playing but they didn't even get the point they needed so couldn't blame us anyway.

he is Druss :)

As for wolves I agree, had they done that against Fulham, no one would have cared....

And I thought United lost too....but yes, Sheff Utd were that dire they couldn't even save themselves.

Hm...maybe my hazy memory at work (it's working overtime of late), or I'm getting it confused with the result of another season. I do recall Man Utd winning a game where there was threat of legal action if they lost. *Scratches head*

But yeah, Ollie does hit the nail on the head. Just imagine how bland the post-match interviews will be without him.

Hhmmm its not ringing any bells with me OBaka. It sounds vaguely familiar but nothing concrete.

"Is there 6 or 7 letters in Wolves?" Jamie Redknapp folks.

Don't blame the tools, blame the one that couldn't even use one: Jamie Redknapp I'm talking about of course.

And there was that time on A league of their own, where he was asked to name PL teams beginning with 'W' to which he kept repeating 'West 'am! West 'am! West 'am!' facepalm worthy indeed.

:lol::lol: It took me a minute to get that.

I'm willing to bet he wasn't the one that originally said West Ham either Sparroww. Watch him during the quickfire round, his team mate will say something and right or wrong Jamie will sit shouting it over and over again drowning out anything his team mate says after that point. I like the champions league nights with Graeme Souness and him, Souness gives him these glares of barely controlled rage and you just know what he is thinking.

Either that or as a cockney he has some sort of aversion to being able to name teams not from London. :pinched:

Survival Sunday is upon us. It looks to me like Blackpool and either Blackburn or Birmingham going down.

Quick Football Manager question if anyone has an answer: When retraining a players position and that position becomes his natural position can I stop training him in it or will it revert back to no longer being natural if I stop? I've retrained Eden Hazard to be a left winger and he is phenomenal out there but its now his natural position so I'm just wondering if I'm ok to stop training him out there.

Yes you can stop Druss....

Once natural....I keep my eye on his stats during the following season...just in case, but if he 'playing' in that position regularly.....then you're usually ok to put his training back to whatever it would be.

And you're right...he is :)

Thats the way I thought it should work Auto, but I was burned with it once before a few years ago. Neymar is another great player for converting into a winger.
