lol the boyhood dream. is that very common, cause in serie a footballers pull that one out of the hat on special summers :) also, it was interesting to hear all the guys you would trade and bring in to your clubs, norwich it seems will be plenty ready for next season! united got van der sar's replacement? well that is good news, no doubt the man u supporters will be hoping he can fill van der sar's shoes.

and it still seems kind of surreal that chelsea have sacked ancelloti, almost to the point where it is a little amusing. he has a good season, (mind you, the level of play for the premier league seemed a bit lower this year, but overall it has been an enjoyable campaign) and finished strongly. it will be interesting to see how the new manager (maybe good ol' 'arry) addresses the club's issues next season.

and the champions final is only 3 days away now. yes yes, these matches rarely live up to the hype, but in the spirit of building it up, here is a link for a song about lionel messi http://bit.ly/eS2mNt now the man utd supporters need to make one on one of man utd's forwards :)

'Arry's solution to addressing squad problems: buy another bunch of players....actually that sounds a lot like what Benitez did as well. Hmm.....

Given the whole Twitter thing and the ash cloud thing as well, this year's Champion's League final has been disrupted in unforetold ways. Will be wondering what the effect will be.

'Arry's solution will be to try and find himself another team in a better position and walk away from the mess he has made. Plan B will be to buy a whole new team and leave the club in massive debt, then walk away from the mess he has made.

I heard the ash cloud has mutated Javier Mascherano into a small rabid creature with bulging eyes and the personality of a vicious poodle. My mate was stuck in Lanzarote and phoned me to check flights, I thought she said ass cloud and assumed she was on drugs...

Lambert has signed his contract, he was just on SSN mumbling something in scottish.

Spain really seem to have a better quality of WAG than England. No wonder most players want to go there.

Well, can't complain about the quality of the WAGs I suppose....

Just read that Lambert has signed a new deal. And apparently Klose is on his radar. 'Tis a curious thing.

As for Mascherano...doesn't sound to me like he's changed much....

Ole 'Arry...curious what he did with Southampton and Portsmouth actually. Looks like Southampton got the better deal during that kerfuffle.

'Arry is now 2/1 favourite for the Chelsea job. If he pulls that one off it will be the coup of a life time and further proof that the media truly run football. It will also be a massive boost for Spurs who can go after a decent manager.

It seems theres confusion about the whole De Gea thing. The club anounced we signed him according to sky the other night but are now saying we haven't but we actually have and can't anounce it because he is in the middle of changing agents. Football eh? Jumpers for goal posts... grazed knees...oh mummy will kiss it better...whats that? 'keeper is wanted for his tea? 11 against 9? Fly keepers? Marvelous.

"Ron. The game?"

Yeah, I thought the deal was signed and everything. Or has he had second thoughts? Or perhaps just a confusion in general.

So...if 'Arry does get the Chelsea job (really? is Abramovich really off his rocker?) then what do you suppose will happen later down the line? Bankruptcy? Relegation? Liquidation? A combination? Or something more...'optimistic'?

Would mean 'Arry actually has an excuse to blame players for poor games like Terry, Torres and Trampard, probably because they're kinda terrible.

As for the De Gea deal, well I'll wait for an official announcement before I consider anything truly concrete. This is football after all...

Doesn't 'Arry blame the players anyway? Has he started to blame the fans yet?

As far as I've heard on De Gea he has signed but if he anounces it now he will owe his current agent 10% of the fee or something like that. They were planning to keep it quiet but Sir Alex used it to deflect from all the Giggs questions.

'Arry has blamed the fans indeed. He was giving off about them recently claiming they know nothing and have ridiculous expectations and Spurs could never compete with the likes of Man City. Ofcourse it was Redknapp himself who claimed Spurs could win the league. It was in Mediawatch on F365 recently.

Going back to the FM11 question from last week, it turns out stopping the position training after a player becomes natural in his new position does infact revert them back to no longer being natural there. It happened me with both Fletcher and Hazard. Agents are the bane of my existance, theres nothing quite like negotating for weeks to sign a player only to have it fall through after agreeing a fee because his agent is an utter dick. I've found no way around it either.

druss, i think in one of the article you posted, but it might have been somewhere else, they had 'arry saying they could beat any team in the league, and then a few weeks later negating that. they could have definitely picked up some points going down the stretch. but we'll see how things go next season. tottenham have a good team...perhaps the europa cup will prove a distraction for them in the league and fa cup. there were some doubts about how they would this year with the champions league, and they didn't do too bad.

Tottenham in the Europa Cup...last time they were in it, when 'Arry first took over if memory serves right (I'll next be claiming he started the whole 1066 thing) I think he threw that competition away to concentrate on the league. Would a more stable league position mean he will give it a go this time? Assuming he is still the manager of course.

you know, throwing the europa league is something that perhaps tarnishes the integrity of the competition, but honestly it seems like the smart thing to do. it just seems like a distraction to the league and fa cup, with a good finish in the premier league representing a spot in the champions league, which apperantly is where all the revenue lies.

I remember negotiating with my first agent where things didn't work out, a day or two afterwards the player sacked his agent and I managed to sign him then.
When I looked on the agent's profile I was one of the persons on his hate list...

That would make financial sense, modjo. Though I wonder what it would do to the morale and ambitions of certain players when the manager decides to throw a competition like that away.

All this FM talk is really tempting me to pick it up (I have enough unfinished games as it is....).

The last match that I want to watch this season is Man United - Barcelona. It will be better Fergusen wins the match or I get angry! rawwr
I hope Arsenal and Werder Bremen's owners do something about their teams, I don't like them to play as level as Wigan plays in England.

Also ignored lol.
I'm hoping for a terrible match. My sister said she is going to put a bet on that Barca will win 4-0. I want to see her face when the only goal scored is from a fumbled header by Nemanja Vidić in the 89th minute, oh it will be glorious.

I've seen that happen too but it almost seems to be random. Is there a way to ask them to drop their agent?

Hargreaves, Park and Fletcher all have the same agent and the man is intolerable. He has me on his hate list ever since I first extended Hargreaves' contract and he made insane demands. I had to let Hargreaves go at the start of the season on a free because his agent wanted £140k a week and wouldn't negotiate, for a rotation player who is second choice to Vidal. I have to let Park go at the end of the season and I really don't want to, his contract is up and his agent wants £110k a week for him, he has Hazard, Neymar and Hulk all ahead of him on the wings so theres no way I'm paying that for a squad player. I signed a 16 year old French midfielder/striker and had to list him as a key player because of his agents infuriating refusal to budge.

I find the whole homegrown players quota thing is turning me into Arsene Wenger, I must have spent about £25m in the past couple of seasons on 15, 16 and 17 year olds for the future. Consequently my youth team is unbeatable, I've one 17 year old that has 30 goals in 22 reserve and youth team matches. I sold Valencia, De Laet, Smalling, Macheda, Wellbeck and sent Fabio out on loan so I could bring them through. Now I know how Wenger thinks.

Norwich have made their first signing...James Vaughan from Everton for £2.5m. Whats the consensus amongst the Norwitches on that deal?

This FIFA madness is getting out of hand. Its further proof of how corrupt they are.

Considering your club's reputation Druss I'd figure those agents would want to bleed you dry.

I've only managed Cowdenbeath and Bray Wanderers and I couldn't sign any players with agents there really.

I'm kinda regretting picking United now. I assumed it would be a challenge with our squad and lack of finances. But I've won 2 PL's, 2 FA Cups, 1 League Cup and 3 Charity Shields in 2 and a half seasons. Although I've been one game away from being sacked twice but Berbatov saved me both times.

Interesting read on Blatter... http://www.football3...6954451,00.html Its a smear campaign at the highest levels of football are these men so desperate for power that they resort to this? Anyone who wants power that badly should never ever be given it.

Here's hoping that he'll be the hungry sort that Lambert said he wants at the club; if so it could provide us with a bit more grit to try and avoid relegation.

I read a few of those FIFA corruption articles, and it seems to be very much a case of 'if I'm going down, then you're coming with me' sort of thing. The accusations themselves aren't really at all surprising....
