As for Young and Nasri...if both transfers go through I would expect Young to cost more. English premium prices playing its part of course.

Are any of the Man Utd fans getting concerned with how slow the transfer window activity seems to be for the club especially with respect to the replacing of van der Sar? I recall that thing about de Gea changing agents, but that seemed to be ages ago now....

Hell yeah! I`m worried by the lack of movement for a goalkeeper AND a creative mid. Instead we have picked up (or are about to pick up) another defender and winger!!

True, Druss. It isn't often that we hear Ferguson announcing who he is after (unlike ole 'Arry); Wenger also plays those cards close to his chest as well. I'd be interested to see what sort of 'overhaul' Wenger is planning for next season. Hopefully the de Gea deal is pretty much sealed, otherwise...it might seem a desperate scramble.

I'd be surprised if De Gea doesn't sign at this point. I know Sir Alex only said it to deflect from the Giggs fiasco but he wouldn't have done it if he wasn't confident.
Anyone else fed up with the whole Alexis Sanchez thing already? Everyday Udinese's president is out making statements about who is the favourite to sign him, how much he will cost, how he is better off staying. Its getting tiresome I hope someone signs him just to put an end to it. Then it will be Pastore though.

There's always some particular transfer saga going on, and the current star seems to be Sanchez. If that does get resolved quickly then I am sure the press can find something else to write about.

Are the Norwich fans excited about the publication of the fixtures tomorrow?
I had to laugh at Chelsea's £22m bid for Modric, thats an insult. Henderson is going for £20m, Carroll £35m, Jones £16m, Young £15m and they offer £22m for probably the best midfielder in the league? The world doesn't make sense at all anymore.

What's happening for Norwich tomorrow?
Also expect Fabregas to stay at Arsenal as they sortof need him more than they think.

The fixtures for the new season come out tomorrow so they find out who they will be playing first on their return to the big time.
I think everyone knows that Fabregas is going nowhere. Doesn't stop Barca though, they will talk about it all summer. Comment after comment about a player who is under contract to another team and UEFA will do nothing. Admittedly we did it about De Gea but I suspect we have already signed him as the club actually anounced it at one point.

Maybe that baby kid with the ball (from quite a few pages back) will break every transfer record available if it were legal to sign him...
Fixtures list out. And this time Norwich don't get the special 'welcome to the Premier League' treatment. We's were bludgeoned last time. Don't like the end of season run though, that can (probably will) be brutal if we struggle.

EDIT: I have to admit I chuckled when reading this. No sooner are the fixtures released we already get a manager moaning about the fixtures list; though to be fair it is with respect to the whole international schedule but still....
Also...that Gerrard believes they have a tough start seems to indicate where Liverpool are at really (opening match against Sunderland at home). Well, when you get beaten by a beach ball I suppose it does make things tough....

Man United is screwed without Van der Sar! MU won't get any goalkeeper better than Almunia.
Yes dear.
As much as it grinds my gears I feel I have to agree with Dalglish, its a remarkably stupid time to have friendlies and if they absolutely have to then they should put the league fixtures back a day. Players are going to be flying off allover the world then expected to play again 3 days later. Its stupid and does my head in in football manager too, having to rest players on the opening day of the season. Butt monkeys.
As for Gerrard comments, I suppose its always a tough start when your a bit sh*t.
Seems that Modric is set for a summer long saga too.
Real and Barca are above the law in european football and everyone knows it. They can tap up anyone they like, Real even have the cheek to appeal against Mourinho's ban. They will probably succeed too. Atleast other teams have the good grace to do their tapping up in private.
Newcastle are splashing the cash, first Cabaye and now Ba. I thought you could only play for 2 teams in a calendar year and that he already played for West Ham and Hoffenheim. Maybe I've got the rule wrong though.

Speaking of Football Manager that does remind me about the time I had to play a Champions League final without my first team due to internationals...did lead against Real in the first half, though I did lose that match. Ahh...them were the days....
Can't have Sanchez hogging all the spotlight; 'Arry will make sure of that. Actually, can you imagine if 'Arry was at Barcelona or Real with their 'above the law' status? I shudder to think....

Posté 17 juin 2011 - 09:06
That happened me once too a few years ago OBaka, it wasn't the final but I had to play with mostly youth team players.
If 'Arry was at Barca or Real he would still be claiming theres bigger teams out there with more money so how can he possibly compete?
I don't even know where to start on that whole Villa thing its ridiculous.

Posté 17 juin 2011 - 09:43
You know, if 'Arry was at either of those teams he would just point the finger at the club he isn't at. His options might be limited but still has the other team to blame though.
