No one. Its giving him more of a platform to spout off. I don't use twitter yet I seem to have everything he says and things forced upon me. He isn't even that good, he is going from Newcastle to QPR, no one else wanted him on a free. He is a nothing yet you'd think he was as wise an owl with glasses on the way he is being constantly quoted.
Newcastle were piling on a bit of pressure the last I saw. An equaliser doesn't look beyond them. If you ignore their kinda crap strikers.

Intriguing game between S****horpe and Newcastle. Will do my usual 'waiting for results' thing.
People love the whole social media thing; probably because it allows the normal bloke on the street to 'know' the twit...sorry...Twitterer (?). What's wrong with chatting? *Shrugs* (That we're on a forum discussing stuff has not escaped me.)
Champions League draw had been made. Seems like it should be plain sailing for Man Utd.

Not a convincing game against Scunthorpe. Newcastle are in a desperate need of a good striker or two as well as a real left back.
Watching Sammy Ameobi is like watching a young Shola... to think that he actually looked promising during the Robson era.
They've been promoting Shane Ferguson a lot, but he's a midfielder and not a defender.
Both Ireland and Northern Ireland have been pulling on him and it looks like Nireland is winning his favor.
Can't deny that Barton's presence on the pitch has been important for the team.
But I'm glad this whole affair is finally coming to an end... we'll see if Warnock can handle his new asset...
Edit: The filter lose.

Er....wha? That's the first time I've been censored. What does EA have against the place that played against Newcastle? That's discrimination! I'm disgusted. *Pfff*
Anyway...you guys noticed that there seems to be a few strikes going on off late? Wonder what would happen if they don't get resolved. Does it mean teams playing in European competitions won't participate (though it didn't seem to stop them)?
Oh, read that Darron Gibson got injured in training. I know he's sort of stuck in limbo after Sunderland's failed bid to sign him, but this isn't going to help him much.

I think its about time someone censored OBaka's potty mouth. Won't someone think of the children? I think maybe thats the one word that EA fears. The place they are fated to fight their final battle against the Kraken and die.
I noticed the strikes in Italy and Spain. Are there more? I think they will still play in Europe but it means teams might not be fully fit when the CL officially starts and might have fixture congestion later on in the year. Depends how long they strike.
Being a bite sh*te doesn't help Gibson much either. He might do well in another team but he really doesn't fit into Uniteds team. I just read Hargreaves offered to play for United for free. I really hope he gets back to his best and finds a team.
Dunno why but I fancy Norwich to get a draw at Chelsea today.

Indeed, Druss. I really should knock the swearing on the head. Moving on...
A 3-1 loss against Chelsea isn't too shameful. As usual will catch the highlights to see how we fared, though reading one report suggests Chelsea weren't convincing in their victory; though I'm sure there will be others saying that to be champions you need to win even when you're playing badly (or just grinding out results).
Hm...Blackburn lose to Everton, huh. Interesting.

Of the very brief highlights I've seen so far... Everton should never have had that penalty. It was extremely harsh.
Bolton were so disgustingly awful that I turned the match off and went to play Deus Ex. Hard to believe its the same team that gave Man City a game and hammered QPR 4-0.

Another decent showing by Liverpool, made Bolton look like a lower league team to say the least. Norwich had their work cut out for them against Chelsea though a good showing all round.
I'm not that enlightened regarding the Spanish and Italian football strikes, though I am curious as to what happens to the European competitions.
And in Carling Cup 3rd Round news Manchester United to play wait for it...wait for it....Leeds and at Elland Road too, ugh!

That should be a bundle of laughs.
I think Norwich did fine up until the red card. Hopefully we can avoid such incidents and soldier on; we might have a chance of staying up then.
Anyone notice a touch of...Mourinho in AVB's post-match interview? Or is it just me?
EDIT: crikey. Man Utd are really putting it past Arsenal, and the game still hasn't finished at the time of writing. 6-1. Looks like they're not letting Man City grab the headlines.

Do you mean when AVB said something like "I haven't mentioned any referee decisions so I hope others won't either."? Like he was implying he was above it and people should follow his example. Why would he mention them when his team won? That struck me as tw@tish.
The United result was alot like the Liverpool one yesterday, a team made to look alot better than they were by how awful the opposition were. United played well but not 8 goals well, Arsenal really were shocking. We scored some absolute crackers though, Rooney's freekicks and Youngs first were brilliant strikes. I felt sorry for their keeper he could do nothing about most of the goals. Nani frustrated the hell out of me in the second half playing like the match was over. I'd have subbed Rooney too for booting the ball out for a corner needlessly.

It was actually AVB's comment on the penalty decisions that 'only his players go down' or something to that effect; but...the influence seems to be there. Maybe the media will have their little Mourinho after all.... Be afraid, be very afraid......
I was listening to most of the match (using Freeview) and the impression I got was that their keeper did pretty well despite the score. I can only imagine that it would have been worse if he was off his game. By comparison I heard that de Gea had a couple of moments even though he saved a penalty. Will be looking forward to MOTD tonight though.
Oh...and following the 'off his game' line, I understand that Modric played. And then of course ole 'Arry has the excuse that his head has been turned, and that all the transfer speculation has ruined preparation for the season.
Anyway, with the rather mammoth loss for Arsenal, what does it mean for the club going forward? I'd be expecting the calls for Wenger to be sacked for starters. Or can we expect a knee jerk reaction from the board? Troubling times for Arsenal ahead it would seem.

Changing club allegiance after the age of 12 is strictly forbidden. I think anyone who does it should be put on some sort of register.
I didn't hear that comment from AVB I only caught a couple of seconds maybe I didn't hear him right.
De Gea made a couple of good saves, the second goal he couldn't do alot about. But the first goal was his fault, well him and Evra's half arsed clearance(I'd say he got a bollocking for that). He seems to have a serious weakness with low shots, I dunno whats up with his feet or his judgement but he has struggled with low shots. Maybe he panics with them or something I dunno but he looks a bit frantic with anything low. Odd considering how good he is with his feet.
Did you see the thing on F365 about 'Arry's "tactics"? I have to admit that the 10 minutes of the game I saw left me thinking "Krajncar must be on the wing, he can't be playing him and Modric in the middle" but then I couldn't see who else could be in the middle. I dunno what he was thinking.
Wenger might offer his resignation. That was insane defending, like they were never coached at all. Like they just threw four randomers off the street on and told them to defend. Welbecks goal was laughable.

Sometimes it is. I liked Dortmund in Bundesliga around 98-2004. But after Werder Bremen nice season with Klose, Klasnic, Borowski, Frings and others I became a fan of WB. Now I'm so happy that WB is 3rd in the league.
I maybe give 2 chances to Arsenal to see how they will probably overcome their weaknesses

We will now be very suspicious of your allegiance, Garbage. *Backs off in suspicion*
I think recall that there was talk that de Gea was somewhat weak when dealing with long shots. Perhaps the recent fluffed saves fall into that category.
Intriguing start to the season with both Manchester clubs in the top two spots with Man Utd ahead on goal difference. Shaping up to be a cracking season.
Must have missed the article you're referring to, Druss. But looking at the team sheet it was very much a 'you what?' moment. Interesting that 'Arry is to have said that he needed Modric to play (probably so he has an excuse that they lost).
Martinez brought up an interesting point on MOTD2 regarding transfer window though. Ideally it closes for business before the league starts. Shame that there is more than one country involved and their seasons can vary as well.

Walcotts goal wasn't that far out. I think De Gea just has awkward feet, some of the fluffs he has made so far strike me as someone diving down with his eyes closed hoping for the best.
Am I alone in getting annoyed when people on tv make a big deal about the league table at this stage of the season? Like it was a big deal that Liverpool were top and its a big deal that United leapfrogged City on Sunday. Its really not. Agreed though intriguing start, some of the top teams really look set for a season of struggle. Early days yet though.
Can't remember what the article was called. Think it was concusions about the Spurs match. Its ok though he has come out and blamed it all on Modric and injuries. Not his fault guv.
It really is a bit ridiculous that they start the season with the window still open. It serves no purpose. January is understandable but I don't see the reason why its left open for weeks after the season starts.

If Wenger doesn't have much of a back-up plan, which the game against Man Utd seemed to suggest (though I think it can be argued that Wenger never has a back-up plan anyway), with respect to the players the club needs; then it looks like the demise of Arsenal as one of the top clubs in the Premier League. At least that's my knee-jerk reaction to it.
With respect to the league positions after three games...weren't Wolves top of the table for a couple of hours or something? But yeah, early days as yet though I think we can reasonably expect the Manchester clubs to set the pace this season. If Man Utd can bring their fabled after-Christmas form into their game earlier...I think other teams will have to be very wary of what they are capable of.
After that cracking weekend, I think it was on radio where they commented that what goes and happens? International break.
Oh...and it's never ole 'Arry's fault, guv. Still, since the transfer window is still open we will see him squirm a bit more. Goodness knows what will happen if Modric stays.

Its not like Arsenal are bereft of good players. The problem they have is keeping the players they have left on the pitch, their 2 best players are very injury prone. Also the red card record since Wenger took over is shocking, it was over 50 a few years ago I dunno what its at now. They were lucky to finish with 9 men yesterday nevermind 10. Apparently they have signed a Brazilian leftback, they would need another striker, a midfielder or two and a centreback before the window closes I'd imagine.
Weren't Blackpool top of the league at one point last season too? I expect Chelsea will find form sooner or later and one or both of their big strikers will start firing.
Yeah when I saw the England squad get announced my heart sank a bit. The international calendar is just a nuisance any time other than the summer.
I'd love to see Spurs continue like this, 'Arry getting sacked will be comedy gold.

That's a good point on the disciplinary side, I forgot about Arshavin's second tackle; they should have been down to 10 earlier on. Way back when Arsenal were still winning trophies I think they spent a fair bit of time playing with 10 men. I was always under the impression they had to adapt to it due to the regularity of having a smaller team on the pitch. Mind you, they also had tall and athletic players then as well. It sounds like Wenger is finally getting into the transfer market, so let's see what he comes up with. A busy day or two for their people I'd imagine.
Blackpool: I think they were. Back in the day even Norwich topped the table at one point....
'Arry getting sacked. Who could he blame then? The kitchen sink?
'Speaking' of sackings...I do wonder how long Kean will be in charge of Blackburn. I saw that the owners apparently pulled out of a deal for a transfer target; can't exactly be a rosy situation there.

Arshavins first tackle was a red card offence. Djourou was lucky to stay on too. Arsenal have signed a Korean striker and Per Mertesacker is having a medical. They apparently have a few more on the go too. Seems like he finally took a hint.
Them was the days...
'Arry's excuse will be Man City and Liverpools spending, ignoring how much he spent and the fact Arsenal remained out of his reach despite spending alot less.
The Butcher of Blackburn seems to be put in a messed up position by the owners to be fair. Remember all their anouncements last year of signing Ronaldinho and the like leaving him to deal with the flak when they couldn't sign them? I think they have alot less money than they claim.
Owen Hargreaves had a medical in Manchester today, believed to be for City. Dunno what to make of that, why would they sign him with all their riches and sheer number of defensive midfielders? Why would he go there when he really needs somewhere he can play regularly to get back in the England team? Its a strange one. I'm half hoping we are offering him a new deal but I seriously doubt it.
Going back to discipline. Isn't diving an automatic yellow card? I ask because a freekick was given against Charlie Adam on saturday for diving yet he wasn't booked. I thought it was an automatic yellow.

I remember seeing a cringeworthy tackle by Arshavin, and that did seem like a red card offence. Surprised he wasn't even booked for it. Memory going fuzzy as I don't recall the first tackle.
Quite likely to be the case with 'Arry.
Blackburn is an intriguing situation. Again we have the case of new owners promising the world (as it were) but then seemingly delivering nothing. We know they deal in poultry but how much in the way of finance do they actually have for the club? As you suggest, Druss, it's probably a lot less than most are led to believe. If I were a Blackburn fan, I think I'd be worried.
Hargreaves and Man City. That's an odd combination. Also heard about Tottenham being in for him as well. If he can be fit Arsenal should go for him.
Diving should be an automatic yellow card, but it's one of those things where the ref rarely ever enforces it. I think commentators and pundits tend to mention that if it's not a yellow card for that player for diving, then it should be a card for the one committing the foul (or vice versa). Or...whoever the ref doesn't like.....

Arshavin's first tackle could have broken Jones' leg, it was quite shocking and he was very lucky to get away with a yellow. I can't really remember his second other than the outrage that he wasn't booked for it.
It seems whatever cash they do have is just a poultry sum......I'll get my coat.
Hargreaves to Arsenal? His injury prone history would make him a perfect fit for them. Although SSN said earlier that they have a £35m bid in for some German midfielder Goetze or something. Struggling to believe that one.
SSN is going rumour mad all day. Tomorrow is usually good watching especially when they wheel Jim White out for his transfer deadline day special, it suddenly goes from interesting to magical. It should be a national holiday.
