After reading the latest GameInformer i am glad to see the new changes they have made to upgrade the graphic and flow of combat. What are you looking forward to see in the new DAO?

I'm looking forward to seeing how the writing has developed now the team has honed their craft. Of course, it probably means that Sheryl Chee will break my heart...

Not looking forward to any of the actual changes mentioned so far, however I am looking forward to the new story itself plus how they will handle the 10 year time frame and the incorporation of choices made over time seems very interesting.

I'm looking forward to the new story if there is one thing Bioware is good at it's making deep and compelling storylines.

Yep. The story. Pretty much this, and the hope that the changes won't get in the way of enjoying that too much.KethWolfheart wrote...

A new story in a more familiar world. I don't mind the fact that you are playing a more defined character. It is basically removing the six origins and giving you one, letting the writers concentrate on that and tell a more compelling personal story. I like the fact that it spans ten years, this indicates it will be quite a bit different from the sort of stories that have become a bit typical in these games.

I'm looking forward to seeing how BioWare implements this whole 'over ten years' bit. It sounds like it could be really, really good.
It also sounds like it could be a massive pain in the rear, but I'm being optimistic.

the new art style. I really did dislike the DAO art style, it was very drab and boring, very...middle ages. I know they're trying to stay away from high fantasy and all that, but honestly, too much dirt and grit can make things stale. Hopefully the new art style will liven things up.

Hawke's story spans 10 years in-game. Time skips are justified because it's a narrator telling the story after the fact.

I'm looking forward to a few things.
1) Want to see if we get more customization options at creation
2) want to see if there are more armor and weapon variations
3) want to see how the voice over stuff is
4) want to see how the story pans out

The change I'm most looking forward to is probably the narrative structure. 10-year span, no "ancient evils" threatening the world or whatever...it sounds like it'll be a much more personal story.
It's also the thing I'm most nervous about, though. With all the time skips, how immersive is it going to be? How are we supposed to get to know companions we meet before a time skip fast-forwards us several years in the future? Definitely curious to see how that turns out.
The thing I'm most looking forward to PERIOD, however, is something that hasn't changed...the writing team.

1st, a voiced PC. whenever the whole world has VA's, and the PC doesn't, it always feels really strange. not to mention the lack of any human body language only makes it more strange.
2. Combat combinations like sundering armor to prep for a backstab
