Before, if i crashed, it would be to the desktop, now after the patch, my whole computer is crashing, the sound starts to loop and then screen goes black, and i have to restart.

i've counted 5 times so far that my computer has crashed when playing, i was not experiencing this before the patch at all, over the couple hundred hours i have been playing.

It shouldn't be the video cards fault even I am having the same crash to desktop bug after a few hours of gameplay and my drivers are all update on everything and I got a GTX 260 but I plan to upgrade to a Fermi card in a few months.

I've noticed that all reports of crashing and slowdowns related to patch 1.04 are from people using nVidia graphics cards- including you. Nary a single ATi user has reported a problem. I'm suspecting that it may be a problem related to nVidia drivers- up to date or not, those can cause problems. (for example, the latest nVidia driver creates a major texture issue in Mass Effect 2 where none existed before).

Not true... I have an ATI card and I have seen a crash and slowdowns. Others have reported these problems without mentioning their card type.

I'm also using ATI cards, 2 HD5870 in crossfire, i play for about an hour and i start getting a bad decrease in fps and eventually crashes. In my opinion the patch fixed nothing at all but actually made the game worse.

im using 4870s in crossfire, and every 10 minutes or so my computer is crashing, only when playing this game, and only after the patch.

Seems to be a problem with adobe air update and patch 1.04 not the video cards
