I am really upset that you can only be a human that make me mad, i like playing as a drawf and a elf it make the game seem fun to me. Now dragon age is becomeing dragon effect 2 WTF.

Because Hawke is from Lothering
Did you see any Dwarfs in Lothering? Or any Elves that were not refugees from someplace else who got robbed? It was a purely human town.
Also Hawke becomes the Champion of Kirkwall. An infamous city that was originally the site of the Tivinter slave markets, and the slaves were Elves. Why would said city (now under strict Templar/Chantry overview) make a non-human its Champion?
If you want to play elf/dwarf in the plot Bioware has cooked up for DA2, you have to utterly rape the established lore to do so. I would rather be confined to a human than suffer massive retcons about how an exiled Dwarf became a champion of one of the most historically xenophobic city states in Thedas
