Played the game twice without "cheats"...a major crash required a complete reinstall. 

Started from scratch, with a clean computer...installed Origins..again, did all the file/target etc changes...

In game, hit...`....and, as hoped for, character "locked" and weird writing appeared at top of screen.  I typed the "money" cheat and got 50 gold.....yahoooo....

Tried the "party gifts" cheat, nothing...  Tried the money cheat again, which had worked just a few minutes prior,  nothing.....

The only cheat that works is the XP....  and I don't want it.  I unstalled/reinstalled the game, re did the file and shortcut...and this time, I can't even get the 50 gold....only the XP work.  I want money, not XP.

This is what happened with Awakenings....Nothing but the xp worked..  I had completely removed all traces of Awakenings hoping start another game in Origins..."cheat" for $$$$$ and import my character to Awakenings  (with a boatload of money)...But, as stated, all I got was $50....I am typing the code as stated in many posts....or it wouldn't have worked the first time, for the $50 I did get. 

Why did it work ONCE....and now nothing....  I have checked the "target", and Settings....and they are what they should be. 

I've found lots of posts re the console, but none who had ONE successful entry, and then....craps.....any thoughts...

I have no mods installed, yet....and am now downloading the dlc I lost....thanks

As for Awakenings, the money command is slightly different than Origins. See here.

Hi..thanks, but I know about the difference in the codes...



I'm talking about Origins.....I don't know why I was able to get 50 gold, in Origins, only one time, via the console and then nothing but the xp code would work.



The code was entered exactly the same, both times, yet it only worked once.....now no code's work but xp, and I don't want xp.... thanks
