Do you think Hawke is in Lothering the same time the Warden is or leaves before the Warden arrives?

I know we don't know when the game begins, but its been said that hawke will view the events in DAO from a new perspective. We know Loghain's men are in Lothering, we may think the Warden is a traitor to Ferelden. Also perhaps we may get to see Elder Miriam and Allison again or the crabby farmer? Perhaps we may also see Leliana while she is at the chantry before we leave lothering and before she joins the warden. What do you think?

Hawke is there when the warden is.I rather doubt they meet.

I don't think they meet, but I was wondering if Lothering will be playable before it is in the hopeless state it is in when the Warden arrives.

I'd like to meet my Warden with Hawke, since my favorite Warden was a mage--and a very spirited one at that--and my first playthrough with Hawke will likely be with a mage. It'd be nice to see your Warden from a different perspective, kind of like the little shout-outs to Revan in KOTOR II, but actually in-person.

I guess the questions regarding the import would be which one does it import? I've finished the games a number of times.
As for being there at the same time I would assume so seeing as not a lot of time passed from the time the warden left until Lothering was overrun. Wether or not the two meet is a different story.

It would be cool, but it's just not likely.

I doubt we will see the Warden physically being that he/she isn't voiced and the new graphic/art style may not mesh well with the features from the character creator from Origins. If, however, you were to see the Warden in Lothering, I'd personally like to see the fight with Loghain's lackeys in the inn. It would be cool to see the Warden in action from a different perspective.

I think so ... I hope they meet but I doubt it because our warden doesnt have a voice.

You might just see them walking by or something, but you probably won't get to talk to them.

My guess is that you'll need to leave Lothering for some reason before the Warden arrives and by the time you get back to see the place destroyed, he/she will have already gone.

Hawke spots a genlock, soils pants and flees to wherever and takes up the trade of chamber pot emptier.
Seems like it would be difficult to work him into Lothering in a way that doesn't make him anything but laughable.

Maybe during Hawkes time in Lothering he could overhear a conversation about The Warden.
Something simple like "Did you hear about that Grey Warden in town? Killed all those bandits on the bridge..."

Well is a monster walked into your house with a large sword and armor I doubt you would stay and find out what it is doing.Jestina wrote...

How do you know he does not fight his way out?
They say he is one of the few survivors...if running was all that was needed I am sure a lot more would have survived. He does have a mage for a sister....

My understanding is he is only a little boy/girl in Lothering. Questons is his sister in Lothering at this time or do they meet up later? Maybe the GW inspires Hawke in some way?

Well, I sure don't remember MY warden meeting any Hawke guy or gal. Unless... Maybe he's that little boy whose mom got killed by wolves and whom I sent to the Chantry.
Except that I'm pretty sure that he's already a grown man during events in Lothering.

Would be cool if we could see the warden in his armor and weapons with the allies he had,

I was thinking that Hawke was in Lothering at the same time as the warden and narrowly left when the darkspawn were approaching.

I don't think you'll be seeing the Warden at all. Not so much because of the lack of voice, but there's a good chance that the equipment you wore in Lothering is going to be quite different from the post-coronation. Same goes for companions. Also, who were your immediate companions in Lothering? Not everyone may have added both Sten and Leliana.

i don't think we'll see the warden but probably see the party members as a cameo...like standing around at different areas of the town.

whoohoo wild speculation!!!! i just love to speculate about things we hardly know anything about...
anything i coud come up with sounds like the start of a bad adventure tale...
i hope will be in lothering after it was destroyed by the darkspawn! some could ambush you and it could be flemeth that rescues you out of the ruins of the village.
later you meet her again and then she goes: Well, well what have we here...

I'm telling you, Hawke is the little kid from the bridge in Lothering. I know this for a fact.

Indeed, same voice actor throughout as well.

I'm thinking maybe they are away from Lothering than hear of the darkspawn attack and go to find their family and when they arrive everyone has already fled and darkspawn are overrunning the village. Then Flemeth comes and saves them.At this point the warden is already on their way visiting redcliffe or the mage tower etc.Or of course they could be in Lothering the entire time..but I don't understand why they wouldn't of fled already if that was the case...I guess we will see.
