DA:O and DA:O:A were great games. Besides the RPG game mechanics, the story itself was richhly embriodered with real life analogies for religions and politics. There has been considerable efforts on the side of the writers to create a mysterious and charming universe that excites you into discovering more about its history than just solving the quests in the game.

It seems to me that the writers have apparantly left out crucial information necessary to the understanding of true history of Thedas. I am sure this is clear to all the other players as well.. I am particularly fond of posting hypotheses that try to explain the DA universe mysteries. I have been derided into reconsidering it.

I would like to ask the devs if this concern on the behalf of the critics justified. If this is not the proper forum to post theories then perhaps I should reconsider.

Please let us know.

Yes they can add The maker is not real but his brother the creator is!

They said somewhere that DA2 will let you learn all about thedas.

So I imagine that we may learn many new finite things....or more vague possibilities.

Regardless of what it will do I am sure we will enjoy its story. As we are finally not battling a great evil....

well if the writers would tell us everything we need to know in the first game, were would the fun be??^^ i mean, the sense of speculating is that you never know for sure, if you did, it would be incredibly boring^^

As you point out, the history of Thedas is written such that very little seems to be absolute. Everything is open to interpretation and speculation. As far as we're concerned, speculate away-- speculation is not the same as spoilers, and if anyone is concerned that posting your discussions will interfere with their general griping they'll simply have to deal with it.

I for one would much rather engage in speculation about story elements than read yet another thread whining about how Bioware is slapping their fans in the face with every change.

well if you read a post that includes speculation its you own fault if you feel spoilered.... or to say it with arttis words:

"The ability to ignore is powerful on forums."

ive got nothing to add.

Really? People are complaining about speculating? I thought that was half the fun. I was going to say that you should totally do it, but I see you've heard it from the horse's mouth, so to speak. Hmm.... That sounded better in my head. ;)
