A valiant attempt by many to swing their swords and fight for what is a lost battle. A Jade Empire sequel/Jade Empire 2.

I have for many years hoped and watched for a continuation of this game as I believe it is by far Bioware's best offering. I dream of how absolutely beautiful it would have been with next gen graphics and the more advanced RPG capabilities we see today as opposed to the 2005 release. I believe if released today it would be Bioware's crowning glory.

But given the games move to legacy forums I believe thier is not much hope now, as legacy forums is not even a proper burial, it is a mass grave for the nameless forgotten.

HA! what ARe you being all depressed about. Join my group and start wearing a banner damnit. Grow some punch and start to shout Return to the Glory Jade Empire 2!. Its under my forum banners. Just copy and paste it to yours and if you are better at making banners. Make one of your own and start the support. Go to this link and then join this group. I've declared a war. I'm doing it with forums and polls right now sense I'm limited in what I can do. I need officers who want to get involved and be active to get us a second game. I don't have the money right now to buy the pc game. Yet!. When I do buy it I'm going to start getting pictures and really get some fan art work on this site. Bioware needs to know the fans are serious about a sequel. Crying over it and predicting its demise is just poppy seeds. Join the fight! Return to the Glory of Jade Empire!

Tooneyman, I do admire your fight, but as I said, it is all in vain. Accept it. EA owns Bioware and you can rest assured EA would not support and end to world suffering or war if there was no money to be made in it. As long as they are cashing in on current products they will not focus on this title. I truly hate to say it.

the somebody needs to point out to EA executives that even martial arts games can sell well, even if they won't make trillions of dollars ;)

With the right advertising from the start like ME 2 got the game will kick major ass!. This is not true. I will not accept it. If I have to get a giant sign and go over to the Bioware office for a week standing in the middle of the front door and have a petition for JE 2 and have people honking their horns and try to get the news media involved I'll do it. This way people do find out what Jade Empire is and start playing it. It might take awhile, but I garrantee you. Will get a sequel, but first I need to re buy the game and for my computer which I'm doing in august. Get me lots of screen shots and then this war of mine is going to take off like Bruce LEE! WOOHAA!

I don't think its a lost cause; an uphill battle perhaps but I think something that could happen.

Just remember, its publishers fault for crappy games. No matter how good a game is, if it dosnt sell well or dosnt fit the desired "market" its worthless in their eyes.

I would LOVE to see a reboot or sequal or at least some Fanservice in the modern games. Really you cant name a guy Black Whirlwind in Dragon Age or Mass Effect cause the names too awesome for a NPC :)

hmmm...I just got done finishing my first playthrough of Jade Empire and my god does BioWare like to rehash some plot lines.  Black Whirlwind = Oghren,  Imperial City = Orzammar, etc.  But other than that, I loved the game and would kill for a sequel.Posted Image

Just kill? I would ensure that the dead will forever roam the earth unable to move on to the spirit world! If only I could bind spirits and such...Posted Image

So I hope.

Jade Empire works well as a standalone game and doesn't need a sequel. but it would be great to revisit the characters and locations, so I'd definitely support one
safe to say that while JE doesn't need a sequel, fans of JE do :P

Bioware has stated in the past that they might will at some point revisit Jade Empire. They hold it in there hearts. I think they might have to redevelop the empire and themes to make a better game, but I honestly think they could make a sequel and do it sweetly.
