I'd love to see Shale as a dwarf if she decided to go back to her mushy fleshy self.

The only one I would like to see and interact with in DA:2 would be maybe Shayle in dwarf form all the rest would really be bummers to see. Not that they aren't great characters it would just be so weird having to talk to them again and they have no idea who I am. I would walk up to Sten and be like "sup, kadan" he would be like "No.". Just rebuilding relationships with your old companions would be weird and break immersion for me. I do expect to see Morrigan in the sequel not as a companion probably an antagonist or dansel in distress type too.

But I know it probably won't happen, because of the wildly divergent endings for him in DA:O. 

Morrigan, on the other hand, should be much easier to include.  I mean, no matter what you choose, she does pretty much the same thing at the end of the game.  There are just variations on a theme.  (Yes, yes, the god baby issue...  But you can include Morrigan without necessarily resolving that.  Though I expect there'd be a lot of madness among those who romanced her!)

Imaginary scene:  You (Hawke) stumble down the road one night on your adventure (just after leaving Lothering), and come upon a camp filled with an interesting assortment of people....After some hesitation, they invite you to share the campfire for the night and feel free to purchase some goods from the Dwarves..... Protagonists crossing paths in the night, each on his/her way to their own moment of glory, simply being human and sharing an essential -- fire -- for an evening.

That'd be a pretty cool way of handling them. Honestly, when it comes to cameos, I'd be okay with having 1 jam-packed, yet satisfying scene of the characters and your Warden.

I don't mind if all the team members are new, the DA: O team mostly have pretty good story endings from what I remember. The ones which I wouldn't be surprised to see are Sten, maybe Shale, Zevran.
