So the child (whether they're a child or an adult during any particular portion of the game play or story narrative doesn't matter, let's not get into that argument) will have the soul of an old god; specifically the one captured from the archdemon that the Grey Warden's slew in DA:O. The idea is, it will be born without the taint of the darkspawn; intriguing, no? But wouldn't the soul of the old god still call out to the darkspawn, that irresistable song as mentioned in David Gaider's novels? What makes it any different? The soul was in a dragon body before, and is now in a human. Will it still call out to them the same? Can Morrigan/Flemeth mute it's call somehow, to protect from that happening? What if they come in contact with him/her? Imagine: The powerful godchild, having the soul of an old god, but needing only to be reached by the wrong darkspawn to become similarly corrupted and turned into a human archdemon. Does anyone else find this plausible?
Of course, then we wouldn't get the pleasure of playing DA3 as the godchild, if that option was ever on the table. Would make sense I suppose, being the "spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate." And you were a godchild in the BG series. Just sayin'.
Which way (if any) do you think it'll go?
