Yeah. Maybe that's all he meant. Unless they originally fled with other family members..?

Very nice podcast, I like how he says it would have been easy to just add more 'adventures' for the DAO Warden to go on, but they wanted to tell the story of Dragon Age in Thedas from a different perspective

Great podcast, with fascinating insights into the philosophy behind DA's evolution.

TBH, I have had some concerns about some of the announced changes - this podcast however actually makes me excited about what you are trying to do.

Now, can we just get rid of the silly mage hats? :-)

Really looking forward to this, but the Darkspawn look stupid and i am worried about the gameplay for consoles.

CLEARLY, they mean Hawke's dad reappeared after his mom was eaten by wolves.  His dad probably had the sister in tow.

This information only feeds my demented theory.

Really enjoyed the podcast, all the info on the combat system was especially appreciated at this point. Hoping that at some point they'll do a lore/writing centric episode with Mr Gaider. :)

After hearing this I am now only worried about the darkspawn's appearance changing. Bioware should really reconsider changing the way they look. Theres no reason or explanation that I can come up with for them to change like that. And it's a downgrade by the way. Iwas worried about console comabat changes but from what Mike said I am most optimistic about it because it sounds like it will be everything Origins was and more. Hope to hear more soon.

Awesome. The combat does sound more like it's being tweaked rather than flat-up gutted and redone. It's refreshing to hear the devs say they know what worked in the first game, so not everything gets thrown out completely. Thanks for the update, Victor!

"...I think from a long term approach what we really hope to do is see that the decisions you make in Dragon Age Origins will matter far into the future. Not just for one game, not just for Awakening but things should come back to surprise you later that you thought 'Oh god, I thought they had forgotten about that' "

Really like this quote. *goes back to listening to the podcast*
