Please help, I need a strategy - have basically a fighters with no spells and every time I wack this guy I lose 40+ health and am dead in no time.  I sorted him out the first time but here he is again with some sort of spell that makes my fighter take all the damage he is dealing out himself.  Team consists of Valen, Deeken, the Deva and my fighter.

As I recall, he uses the spell Mestil's Acid Sheath; that would account for the damage you mention taking. This spell applies to melee attacks, so try a ranged attack, if possible. I believe even holy water could be of use.

Thanks for the reply - I have a good ring for acid which I can use - I tried a ranged attack and he closed in on me - also the attack didn't seem to penetrate as he received 0 damage before closing in on my team.
