Character Build for Jade Empire 2/Fans ideas

This thread is in the idea of fanfics realm, but its also a building block if bioware ever decides to go through with a sequel to have them look at this and say" HMMM, those are some good ideas. Maybe we can do this for the character creator.

How would you want to build your character for Jade Empire 2?:

What kind of fighting styles would you give them?
What kind of weapons would you want for them?
What kind of closes or armor would you like to maybe see them wear?
What kind of personality would you think your character to have? (Ex. Open or closed fist or neutral)
What kind of love would you see your character falling for?
What kind of background would you want your character to have?
What kind of scar/s would you want on them?
What kind of cultures would you like to maybe them be?
What kind of companions would you see your character have follow them around?
Who would you want your characters enemy to be like?

Fighting styles: same as JE1, but keep non-contact styles to a minimum (spells, fireballs, thunderbolts, etc). Also I'd like to see more realistic, close range moves such as trapping and grappling moves. Disarm combos would be nice (coupled with the possibility to use opponent's weapon against him/her).

Weapons: again, JE1 was pretty good but let's keep it oriental for Bruce Lee's sake :D. Other than what we've seen they could add nunchucks, monk spades (already there but only in limited editions), kali sticks, deerhorn knives.

Armor: The only thing that makes (for me) is a light, compound armor, like the one Death's Hand has, or similar to Ezio's from Assasin's Creed II. Anything else would look hokey (as I mentioned on the old forum, picture a guy with full plate armour executing a roundhouse kick, not very belivable).

Personality: all 3 you mention would be good.

Background
: some specialized in unarmed combat, some in range attacks, some in quick, close range combat (e.g. assasins). Don't know, really... too many possibilities... :)

I think as I mentioned in other threads I'd like to see the loss of the paper-scissors-rock approach to combat.  Ideally you'd be able to customize your male/female protaganist ala ME and be able to choose an approach to use hand-to-hand, weapons, magic or transformation as your major combat skill areas.

What kind of fighting styles would you give them?

I think taking the existing hand-to-hand styles and refining them/defining them to be unique and different.  There's a little of that in the game, but for the most part they played the same once the variation in how the chains worked and how fast/strong they were.  Maybe make them upgradeable as well (ie more points makes longer chains or makes faster/stronger moves)?

What kind of weapons would you want for them?

The bare minimum should be the Eighteen Arms of Wushu. B)

   4. Gun (棍) also known as Staff
   5. Halberd (halberd, 戟)
   6. Axe (斧)
   7. Battle axe (鉞)

  12. Hammer (錘)
  13. Talon (抓)
  14. Ranseur (Trident-halberd) (樘)

  17. Stick (拐) also known as Crutches, or Tonfa in western-adapted language.
  18. Meteor hammer (流星 Liu xing)

I'd <3 to be able to use a Meteor Hammer in game. :)

You didn't ask, but I'd like magic to be broadened (again based on my theory).  Ideally we'd use the Chinese elements (Fire, Earth, Water, Metal, Wood) for elemental magic.  I'd like transformation magic to made more interesting and given more reason to choose it (with the current rock-paper-scissors approach there just really isn't much reason to choose transformation styles).

What kind of closes or armor would you like to maybe see them wear?

I'd like to be able to choose my clothes and there should be a wide variety of them so the player can get a good "look".  Armor I agree with abramburici.

What kind of personality would you think your character to have? (Ex. Open or closed fist or neutral)

Since Open Hand/Closed Fist weren't supposed to be good/evil, I'd like an approach that allowed one to develop those philosophies further and fuller with options for "evil" open hand or good "closed fist" options (for example Open Hand is supposed to be about finding balance within the world; I could see paths that oppose certain "good" ideologies because they aren't in balance; I could see a closed fist approach doing good because it pits the closed fist against an advesary that, if defeated, would strengthen themselves).

What kind of scar/s would you want on them?

Customizable, ideally.

What kind of cultures would you like to maybe them be?

I think the protaganist and most of the companions needs to come from the Jade Empire.   I could see an antagonist build from outside (the horseriders?) or maybe a singe companion.

What kind of love would you see your character falling for?
What kind

I think most of this is rooted in the story (or should evolve naturally from the story).
