I'm curious whether any changes to the classes and rulesets might be hints about directions they are taking the gameplay in DA2.
Has anyone played the tabletop RPG?

It's sold at the Store in which I work. I've flipped through it on more than one occasion (great Art work) and really it kind of adheres to the tradional mechanics of the Genre. Crack open your basic D&D campaign guide, and it's much the same, only with a Dragon Age flavour. As to any indication of where DA2 might go? No. Really none. It flushes out some History, adding more to certain events like the War in the Islands, the establishment of certain Empires and Kingdoms, and so on. Much of what the RPG touches upon can be found it BioWare's two DA novels. There is a chapter that adds to the Free Marches, but such information is touched upon with all the other nations and kingdoms as well. Really, the RPG doesn't spoil anything or tell you anything you wouldn't already know from playing the game. So, no. You won't find DA2 spoilers inside. Really, it just gives you want you need to have adventures in Fereldan and certain places abroad with limited information.

I swear, I've been using these forums for only a few days, and every time this guy posts someone has to comment.

The tragedy is, this is just an exaggerated version of my actual face.

I know. :-/
I do play tabletop D&D. No opinion on how the current D&D ruleset (4E--though I'm playing 3E) relates to DA2 though, sorry. Maybe when I learn more about DA2, I can say more.
