The formatting appears to be getting confused between html and bbcode. If I try entering some normal text with a url it looks ok in the text window whilst I write it but then comes up with odd results in my sig. Such as extra bold bbtags or parts of html. I'll try it now to see if it's just sigs or the text editor in general, this is what I'm trying to put in my sig:

edit: works fine in here but not in the sig.

edit2: when I went to edit my post the formatting was lost, it should be pink but changed color.

edit3: i can work around it in messages (should be right now) but not in sigs.

edit4: right so a workaround can be done in sigs aswell but you need to apply formatting in a very specific order and the text window doesn't display the same formatting that you see on the screen. I have to type the text, apply the url, change the color, change to bold. Then if I edit a post/sig the formatting is lost unless I remove the bold, change the color, reapply the bold. Surely something that can be fixed to work right.
