I am having a very frustrating time, trying to do anything on this
forum. I log in every time I change a page, yet I am NOT logged in when
the new page loads. I then log in again, try to post a reply. Hey! I"m
again logged out, with message about not being able to access the
restricted area. I then log in AGAIN, and I am sent back to re-enter my
post. After a few times, this MAY or MAY NOT take, and I actually get a
post in!
Now, having botched the links on my signature, I CANNOT
make any changes to my signature, because of the above behavior. What on
earth is going on here?
Regards,
JFK (hoping like Hello this
gets posted!)

Apparently, unchecking the "remember me" box helps for some people.

Got cookies blocked?
I have 'em disabled across the board, and just add in exceptions for sites I visit. I get similar behavior at some sites.

Usually clearing cookies and browser cache fixes remembering login issues.

Thanks for comments folks. I'll try switching from Firefox to Chrome and see what happens. I have cookies enabled.

For what it's worth, I'm using Firefox 3.6.6 with cookies enabled, but I uncheck the "remember me" box at login -- no problems here.

I guess my computer at work loves to clean cookies, as it logs me out each day...leaving me with the tedious process to type in everything again.
This is one thing that was better with the old forum...where I could make it so that I was always logged in...also at work...

Is there a way like on the old forums to post wihtout your signature as I find I feel kinda rude when I post something and my signature is always there like I am spamming or advertising? Anyone know?

Cookies are bad for your teeth, if you don't think so, (*raises fist at the hacker site domination*), the OP teeth were probably grinding after the 4th attempt...
Cookies are mostly a fancy way to track data on a web page, however, it's also a grand way for bad software or malicious code to walk right in the freaking back door of your computer and lay waste to it! And you wonder how all those Advertising Spammers are bombarding your email account that you just created... >.>
I use Spybot Search & Destroy to encrypt my cookies (thereby denying access to EVERYONE), which in turn will causes problems, eg, on this web site as well, this is why you should always disable the "Remember Me" on EVERY site you visit..
(They need to pass a law that dissallows automatically selecting an option for ANY webiste.) "if you missed that hidden check box that popped up for like 0.2 seconds that says "Send me information" or "I agree to be bent over...", you're pretty much got... Dishonest?? HELL YES!
Despite computer users growing phobia (righteously placed too!) of malicious companies / code, we need to learn to disabled these problems... Uncheck boxes that are check automatically & READ THE LINES BEFORE YOU SELECT OK OR NEXT!
This includes web site sign up, and of course the nefarious log in..
(NO, I'm not saying Bioware is dishonest here, I'm just saying Uncheck the box that reads "Remember Me")

I think it was mentioned somewhere that only current Bioware games can be registered for in the forum. That's why I just added the games to my signature.Falonthas wrote...
