No, this is not to debate whether this is a good move or the death of the rpg or whatever, those threads already exist.

What I want to know is, does the promise of a more "cinematic" game mean that we wont have to put up with those damn glowing auras during conversations and cut-scenes?

Yes, i know, there is a mod that removes them, but i play on 360. Is the promise of different gameplay on consoles enough of an indication that they are considering problems we had the pc users might not have shared?

Yes, i know its easy to turn them off, but after a while it gets bloody annoying, especially when there is combat right after a little chat.

So, what I want is for them to simply vanish for conversations, the way helmets do.

Does anyone else think this is likely?

EDIT: Edited for my failing brain. :(

I agree no one seems to realize that the 360 owners cant simply wave everything away like the pc gamers can.

I hope they do this I also believe its annoying to see auras in cutscenes.

...I assume you mean "toggle on/toggle off"? Can't do that in the console versions--especially if a convo starts right after combat is finished.

I think it's funny no one reacts to me looking like a ghost in my Arcane form, or whatever it's called. But if they won't react to the buckets of blood, why would they react to a blood-covered ghost?

I want the aura gone, period. Most of them are way too flashy, and detract from the experience.

I play on PC but I feel your pain. Before I got the mod that bugged the crap out of me. I hope they do away with Auras.

Yep, in Awakening it's especially annoying. Fully prepared battlemage looks like a twitching ghost in the center of rainbow whirlwind, slightly resembling humanoid creature (impossible to tell the gender). I play on PS3, so no mods.
