The listing of nvd3dum.dll would seem to point to it being NVidia related, somehow. Have you tried disabling SLI and seeing if it still happens? You said you have the latest drivers, but listed the revision as 256 - it's up to 258.96 with the latest driver having just been released on Monday, are you running that? What about your other system drivers and windows update patches? Something else would be if you've tried running the game in a compatibility mode, such as the one for Windows XP and seeing if that makes a difference?
Most concerning is that the crashes have increased in frequency. Have you noticed any instability within any other graphically intense games at all?

If you look at the nvd3dum.dll fault it states he has 258.96 drivers installed

I am using 258.96.
I keep all my driver on a bi weekly update
Compat. mod does nothing.
No other graphical issues what so ever.
I use a 30" LG monitor, so not using SLI I get 30FPS or so max. With SLI I get double! You can't tell me SLI is making it unstable, WTF!
It also seems to ONLY crash when loading a save or trying to save when SLI is set to on. WHY!

it responds with DAO.exe (i think that's what it was called) stopped responding.
i haven't changed any settings as i was hoping that i could get a fix and i wasn't sure if i could restore to a previous update as i never had a problem before 1.03.

You should have created a message that was all your own. Doing what you did, before the original poster has resolved his problem, is attempted hijacking.KibblesXIII wrote...
im using 1.03 which i was forced to update to after i moved to a new computer and with that update my game crashes whenever i try to travel to the camp, travel between areas or just general walking around the city.

Uninstall, and then reinstall, but only use Patch 1.02A.

I'm going back to 1.03 as well. I don't believe you lose access to the DLC, but unless you save the dazips you'll have to download them again. Your authorization for the DLC is supposed to be stored in your Bioware account, so as long as you use the same login, you shouldn't have a problem.Sallul wrote...
Never had a single crash the entire time I've played this game. Installed patch 1.04 and I had 4 in 45 minutes last night. Just out of curiosity, if you were to uninstall and reinstall, I'm assuming that would set you back to 1.0? Would you then patch it as you felt necessary? I wouldn't mind going back to 1.03 since I never had a single crash playing the game and had 4 just last night after installing 1.04.
