I did notice this though. In the first tab (current quests, codex and stuff) under the downloadable content, for each one I have (that’s all of them) the picture icon for them is scrambled.
It does make you wonder how this passed certification if its not working properly.

I have the 360 Slim. Was prompted to redownload Amazon.com pre-order DLC and now cannot load any saved game. It freezes up when trying to load, can't even get back to the dashboard.
I created a new character last night that just got to Lothering and it won't even load.

Whats so different in the slim 360 that’s not in the other versions to cause an issue in the first place?

I'm collecting information so we can (hopefully!) get this resolved as quickly as possible. Something important for us to know is if anyone who is experiencing issues with this title update has an older style Xbox360 and not the new Xbox360 slim?

Checking about we learned that people who uninstalled the DLCs could play the game just fine, with the Patch, on Slims or Elites. They tried it, much to their irratation, and it worked. Core game works fine with DLC uninstalled. So...yeah, not sure what to say. The only conclusion I could come up with is that Microsoft's Cert team either tested the Patch on Older 360s only, or tested across the board with just the Core game figuring it would work without a hitch with DLCs. If so, than once more the error is with Microsoft and not BioWare, Edge of Reality, or (and I hate to admit it) EA.
Well, even though I haven't had any problems thus far, I *really* hope this gets solved, somehow. My guess is the Patch will be pulled in 24 hours and sent back to the drawing board like the previous Patch that was bugged. That's Strike 2 for Dragon Age 360 Patches. (Shakes Head) Wow...

The exact same thing has happened to me as is happening to everyone else that has the new Xbox 360 Slim. I bought Dragon Age: Origins yesterday and played it for about 3 hours last night (absolutely LOVE this game!). I had no problems whatsoever.
About 45 minutes ago, I switched my Xbox 360 on and got prompted for the update. I accepted and when it was complete, I went to resume my game. It tried loading for about 20 seconds and then froze. I thought it was just probably a standard error as I've had games freeze in the past. Then I restarted my console, and tried loading again. Same thing happened. Tried a 3rd time and AGAIN it froze.
I had installed the game to my hard-drive last night so I deleted it and tried running it from the disc. But again it froze. Then I started panicking, thinking my save file is corrupt and that I may have to begin from the start again. But when I went to try and start a new game... again it froze.
I then came to this forum and it seems many other people are having the exact same issue.
Thank goodness for this advice:

Ok, for 360 users there is a workaround to be able to actually play your saves-
Go to System Settings > Memory > Press Y on your main storage device > Select Clear Cache
Load DA:O, choose no to download the update, and you may get an error stating your DLC is corrupt.
If that is the case, go back into System Settings > Memory > Storage Device > Games > Dragon Age Origins > Delete your DLC.
Load the game again, and let it install the patch. From the main menu, redownload your DLC, but DO NOT load a saved game.
Go back to the System Settings and clear the System Cache again. Load up DA:O and don't install the update. You should be able to load your games without any problems. I'm currently playing offline, with my saves and DLC.
It appears that the update may corrupt your DLC when you try and load a game with the update installed.
A HUGE thank you to you Orbytel, HUGE, because this works!
I done exactly what you wrote. I cleared the system cache (re-installed the game to my hard-drive straight after) started Dragon Age, got prompted for the update, declined, and ta-da!
Now I'm able to play Dragon Age
I should add that I don't have any DLC yet. Well, actually I do because I used the voucher for the Stone Prisoner content, which hasn't redeemed properly just yet although thats another problem I'll fix later.
I would just like to say to everyone else that, while I'm no expert, I don't think this update is corrupting save files at all because mine is exactly the same as it was yesterday. I have the same items I collected last night and I'm starting in the exact same place I left it off. My save file is fine.
And to Bioware, yes I am also using a new Xbox 360 Slim.
Hope this helps and, one more time to Orbytal, thank you for your advice! It is so very appreciated! Playing Dragon Age offline is far better than not playing it all!

I haven't had any problems in game but I still can't see many of my characters photos here on bioware social. I thought the patch was suppose to fix this. Can anyone help out?
That's a good questions atheelogos, I didn't have any problems with the update but I still can't see the armor that my character is waring on the social site. BTW, I have the old Xbox 360 Core (white in color).

Have you checked your quest log tab if you have any downloadable content?Iyose wrote...

I tried 4 different save game on 2 different characters and the screen just freeze while loading. I also tried creating a new character and it also freeze in the loading screen.
I cleared the cache of my hard drive and then got back in the game and said no for installing the update and it works (obviously). Just putting some more info since it doesn't appear to be a DLC error for me.

For Xbox 360 Slim and Elite users, we are aware of the issue with the patch and are working toward a resolution. QA has been posting updates to the Tech Support forum, and we will let you know when we are close to a fix.
Just an odd suggestion, but, you know, you could rollback the patch and let us get back to playing the way it was before. Just sayin'...
